Special Features:

Description:

Micah, much like his mother, rather not have to utilize deadly methods of incapacitation unless as a last resort. As such, with the help of his father - who specializes in Mechu Deru - and sister, Kai along with easily accessible stun gauntlet technology, Micah retrofitted a stun gauntlet using phrik as a base.

The stun gauntlets were a heavily insulated*, heavy-duty glove that delivered an electric shock upon striking a target with an unarmed attack. Due to circuitry interwoven throughout the stun gauntlet, electricity was transferred from the energy cells to the impact point, and caused the weapon to glow with electrical energy when activated. Because of the way they were worn, these gauntlets could not be disarmed or dropped.

The electric shock worked much like stunners, which were small, hand-held weapons used to temporarily paralyze opponents. They were capable of causing minimal, non-lethal damage to an intended target, even targets as large as a Wookiee. The heavy insulation also offered another mode of incapacitation for inorganics in the form of a small EMP disruptor, that could damage or disable uninsulated electronic systems with a selection of the user, much like a cyber neutralizer. However, this makes use of this type of weaponry very dangerous on starships, due to the sensitive equipment within them.

The phrik gauntlets are imbued and attuned through the Force only for Micah. This means that while it does have manual settings, the way it can be manipulated between settings is through the Force, meaning that much like a lightsaber crystal, hilt, or a force imbued blade, it will only work for Micah.

As Micah is lightsided and imbued it with the lightside of the Force, having a darksider attempt to use it or wear it may render it inert or give them very nasty rash.

These gauntlets were made to be able to be continually upgrade as he grew older and became more experienced with manipulating electronics.


*Please do not ask me to go into detail about what sort of insulation is in a stun gauntlet. It is canon tech and I'm not a tech savvy person.
