Kitty

The Attention Seeker
Kitty watched as two of the students seemed to pull off the force skill with ease. Kitty got nervous as it was coming around to her turn. Kitty had never delved into the area of using the force to enhance her natural abilities. Her natural abilities were already better then everyone else. All except strength. Even that though she could surpass everyone here by shifting into her 4 legged form, though she wouldn't dare do that here or on purpose in general.

It came Kitty's turn and she bolted to the marker. Her speed was fantastic but it was not force aided. Kitty tried to channel the force through her body but to no success. She returned to her starting position hoping the teacher did not notice her failure.

Hakora whistled, he was quite enjoying this class. His eyebrow rose at the sight of [member="Melori Raaf"] eyes changing, he had always wondered if he was the only one who had eyes that changed when he tapped into the Force. He wondered if she was Valaryan like him. He then watched the bouncing black thing try and show off, but it wasn't near anything needed. Then it was the cat girl's turn, Hakora used his senses and she failed to channel the Force. He sighed an looked at Darth Raven, "May I?"

Hakora looked around the room until Darth Raven replied thinking about how best to word his thoughts. He then changed his mind and decided to speak harshly. "Quite frankly you guys are pathetic. I am quite aware pride is a trait of the Sith, but dear lord what is with this arrogance?! Fatty, you were ordered to run not bounce, cat you could have beenfaster if you used the Force and you with the eyes, eh not bad."

Hakora sighed and changed his tone. His eyes went from his bright blue to redish Orange as he tapped into the Force and pulled out knife from his Elven attire and held it in the air with the Force prepared to assist by making them dodge knives."This is Raven's class so I shall not assume a teaching role, but if she would like assistance how about you run from knives? What do you say, Little bird, think your students would train better with a little danger? Weakness has no place in the Sith, you ether survive or you die; simple."

Popo only seemed more intrigued by the Valaryon. He smiled and wondered what he thought he was talking about. Popo only moved in his natural way. His droid body was already strong and putting the force behind his steps only launched him further. He hoped he would be able to combat the elfboy flame didn't scare the Shard and overwhelming strength would surely prove to be a learning experience for them both. He looked at Darth Raven looking for her to strike the fairy down for derailing her class and trying to usurp her authority. If not...perhaps he could do it for her and gain her favor.

The objective was simple: use the force to get from one end to the other without tripping. Sitara was a runner at heart, she had powerful legs that could take her from one end to the other. She bobbed a little in her place, shifting from one leg to the other as she observed the first two girls go. The blonde seemed to be doing all right, her eyes faded from blue to yellow as she accessed her ability. She did pretty well, though it was a simple exercise to begin with. The feline on the other hand didn’t do as well, she actually failed the simple exercise which surprised her. She coughed, suppressing a laugh. She was supposed to be a cat, wasn’t she?

The man with pale silver hair seemed to acknowledge this. His tone changed, his eyebrows ruffled, and he looked rather pissed. Sitara raised an eyebrow and crossed her arms over her chest.Ha…Ha.. Pathetic? Was he being serious right now? Seriously, this guy had the audacity to waltz in here, do nothing, call the instructor a little bird, and then tell them they were pathetic? Hello? They weren’t in the academy anymore and even still. And seriously, what arrogance did he see? Nobody here was being anything but respectful. It seemed like he was the arrogant one here. She pursed her lips.

Yes, this is Darth Raven’s class.” She spoke up. “And quite frankly—“ She mimicked his words, obviously annoyed by the sylphlike man. “—I think you’re being a little arrogant yourself. Weakness has no place in the Sith, but even the strongest of us mess up sometimes. That’s what we’re here for: to learn. I’m sure Darth Raven is an excellent teacher without you berating the rest of us.” She put her hand on her hips.

Besides, I’ve learned from another great Sith Lord that patience is key to conquering your enemies. Power doesn’t always get you everywhere.” She recalled Lady Matsu’s instructions in toying with your enemies. What was this guy doing here anyways? It was clear he was no apprentice of Lady Raven’s. He was undoubtedly cute, but was a tad bit hotheaded.

Now, if you’ll excuse me.

She had to move on to her own practice. She took a deep breath and watched as the world around her began to warp; as though the entities around her started shifting slowly in place. They were moving in far slower speeds, or perhaps, it was just her own pace quickening. Her mental capacities heightened in rapidity, and her strong legs began to move, shifting in their destination. The objects surrounding her body moved bit by bit as though she could see every step in their turn.

It was a core ability and she was a fast learner; it was easier for her to get things done especially things as simple as this. She was a good student in the academy, and though students never really got along with her, they had to admit that she was good.

Her feet took a stop at her destination. Unlike the blonde’s, her eyes did not shift in colour and stayed their sombre blue. She took in a deep breath as the people surrounding her began to quicken in pace, until they were all levelled in speed. She turned around to meet the eyes of the students around her, and waited for Raven’s instructions.

Watching each student perform from nearby Darth Raven nodded or simple stood and gave what seemed like an amused look. Each of the students were proving their worth; some more than others. [member="Sitara Qin"] [member="Melori Raaf"] and [member="Master Popo"] had done very well for acolytes. Only [member="Kitty"] had stumbled along the way, an ironic feat as Raven would note to herself. Still at least they'd passed more-or-less.

With each student she scored them "50 points..... 50 points..... 50 points..... 30 points.... " the last one pertaining to Kitty.

It wasn't until [member="Hakora Feanor"] had spoken that Raven looked away from them to him. She sneered as he went on to berate her class and then herself as if he had any true say. She only kept giving him a very aggravated look while Sitara had made her remarks to him and Popo seemed ready to strike against him. Darth Raven held her hand up to both silence and secure all of the rest from making any moves. After that she smirked at the blonde hair pretty boy.

"Don't mind him, students." she began. "He's only too proud to admit he was captured by one Sith, when after all this time he thinks he's strong enough to take on the entire Order." She moved away from him and finished with "That only shows how you learn what true power is."

Her attention was brought back to the lesson as she said "You've all performed adequately. But do not forget that just because you can run fast does not mean it's only purpose is to run away. Speed is an essential in combat, both in feet, hands and mind. And now on to the next lesson: force fire!" She came to the center of the room and instructed "All of you form a circle. Right here."

"Wo now. Don't you think force fire is a bit advanced for acolytes? There is much else for them to learn before they can deal with a burning flame." Ferus stepped right on through the entrance to the room, both hands slipped behind his head. He was here to actually check on [member="Kitty"] , who seemed to be having issues from the get go. Not exactly a positive thing for Ferus, but he would help her later on.

Blue eyes traveled around the room to look at the people he deemed important. [member="Darth Raven"] , obviously the teacher, was doing rather well. [member="Sitara Qin"] as ever was doing wonderfully. And then there was [member="Master Popo"] . He did not know him, but he did have respect for someone who thought it best to listen to their teacher first.

"The last thing we need is this training room burned down, no?"

Raven was now surprised by the arrival of [member="Darth Ferus"] , who was yet another uninvited guest to her tutoring. Was this just a day to ruin her own plans? It seemed so after the arrival of Feanor. She hissed a sigh before saying to the class "Excuse me a moment, would you?" After that she walked over to Ferus and took him away from ear-distance of the students.

"Look, I didn't want it to look as though I don't know what I'm doing but....." she glanced back to the class before finishing with "I wasn't sure what else to teach. I thought the basics would've been covered by their masters by now." she rubbed her forehead and added "I'm not sure where to go from here. Any pointers?"

Ferus rubbed the back of his head a bit, looking back to the room. "Ah, sorry. I wasn't trying to show you up or anything. Just tryin to keep my own apprentice safe is all. You showed them speed, why not go to strength?" Blue eyes focused in on [member="Darth Raven"] for a moment. "Could use me as your target. Show how necessary strength is to a Sith."

Given his suggestion Raven looked back to the students and then to [member="Darth Ferus"] again. She sighed before walking back to them and saying "Students. New plan. We'll be trying strength next. Strength necessary for Sith combat. Instead of a circle.....split into pairs." She said with a fake smile. It was clear Raven was feeling all the more awkward by this, but if it was any consolation at least she had someone with more respect around than [member="Hakora Feanor"] .

[member="Sitara Qin"] [member="Melori Raaf"] [member="Master Popo"] [member="Kitty"]

Ferus stepped back in behide [member="Darth Raven"] , slipping both hands behind his head. For now, he looked relaxed and he was genuinely interested in seeing how the Knight did as a teacher with his own eyes. He didn't think she would fail, but he did not know how good she would be. Of course, he offered a wink to [member="Kitty"] , but otherwise was silent.

Hakoras glared at [member="Sitara Qin"] after her response and then his mouth twitched breaking into a laugh. "Of course I am being arrogant, I am half Eldorai, note the ears. Patience is a virtue or something like that, but an enemy won't wait for you to learn at your own pace, if you think my words are too much then that would probably explain why I have never had a disciple." Hakora made a sad face to [member="Darth Raven"], "Oh stop being over dramatic, I told your Dark Lord you captured and brought me here which by the way did you have the decentcy to fill the tank after you were done with my ship? It was a rental. Anyways, You are an excellent teacher, but don't ignore the basics of Force Speed, it isn't about strength. Light steps, quickly moving to the next is better than planting each foot, you know this, you used that method in our little spar."

"Though you are right, I am no one of consequences so my words are useless, I will return to watching." He then looked back at Sitara and noticed for the first moment her cleavage an wondered to himself if that was Sith style. Looking at the others he conclude it wasn't, though what if it was....

Kitty

The Attention Seeker
Kitty was disappointed they were moving on. She didn't want to stop till she got it. As the other bickered to each other Kitty focused on channeling the force through her body to enhance her speed. She was sure if she was given another shot she could pull it off and given her heritage she'd be the fastest.

Kitty's mind was snapped to when she smelt the familiar scent of her master. Kitty ignored it as he was most likely a ways away and had no intention of coming here. She was proven wrong when she heard his familiar rhythm of foot steps. Besides the unique rhythm they were also far quieter then most. Though that was to be expected of an assassin.

Darth Ferus came in the room seeming to object to what the teacher planned on teaching them next. The teacher and Kitty's master pulled away to discuss something in privet. For the others they wouldn't be able to hear what they were saying but Kitty's acute ears picked out every word clearly. Kitty thought the teacher had been doing very well for her first time Kitty would have never known if she hadn't heard otherwise first hand. Though Kitty was just a student.

Of course after picking Kitty's top subject they'd pick her worse next. Strength, something she had none of at least not in her present form. At least not that she had some experience with using the force within her own body it should be easier.

The two separated and Kitty's master gave her a wink, after which the teacher official announced the next training exercise and asked them to pair up. Kitty's jaw wanted to drop, she was not good at pairing up. Kitty just kinda stood there and hoped someone would invite her.

Darth Timoris

To err is human, to forgive divine. And I'm no god
Melori didn't even bother to shake her head at the goings on. But she couldn't stop a wry smile from reaching her lips.

Imagine, a popinjay waltzing in a classroom uninvited and causing havoc? When a Knight was looking to do good by the Order she represented. How...familiar. And sisters talked you know.

But Darth Ferus had also joined and it remained to be seen if this would make things better or not. She knew of him, rather than know him - he'd agreed to a duel to open the Academy she'd helped to create on Tython after all. Once the planet was theirs, she could set things in motion.

At least there was one teacher back in charge - which seemed a step forward. So she stepped up and waited to see who would pair with her. She saw that Kitty was all alone and so moved to her instinctively, nodding an acknowledgement of the fellow Acolyte.

And she wondered what Ability they would learn? Force Rage felt too advanced, so she waited to find out - her new found patience coming to the fore. Neeks? They had one use at least - because they tasted awful.

It was then that the Shard spoke for the first time it was a dual pitched voice. One high one low. Probably the result of a broken voice box but Popo didn't care it was just something that made him unique to others and learning of their strange expressions always tantalized his pallet.
"This one requests that it pairs with the blonde haired prisoner."
His mouth never moved while he spoke only a blue light emanated from between his lips. Finally letting the people around have a guess as to what he might actually be.
"Of course, that is if the teacher allows it. This one wishes to show the other that the Dark side can even empower the New to overcome the old."
Popo was indeed intrigued by the boy, but being able to chastise a class of beginners? Oh that was something that made Popo excited at the thought of proving he was wrong.
Of course this could highly backfire, but Popo was willing to bet that if his droid bodies strength and natural speed might be able to rival the elves that empowering it with the force might be able to shut him up.

Hakora was looking at his nails when he heard something the intrigued him. He looked up at his white hair unsure how the shard saw blonde which must have been a problem with the programming. He merely sighed at his little rant about the new beating the old. He knew the irony probably fell on [member="Darth Ferus"] who knew Hakora was much similar when he was new to the Order of the Grey. Hakora replied very uninterested and with lack of purpose in his words, "I am merely here to watch Raven teach, don't waste my time with petty desires. Practice with the other Acolyte, she's cute, so that should sway you." Hakora laid back on the table and placed his hands behind his head closin his eyes. "Also, I was captured around a month ago and wasn't a prisoner, if you must refer to me I am Lord Valdra."

So she was stuck with the chubby little thing.

All right, that was fine. Cat girl and blondie had decided to pair up anyways. Sitara walked over to the alien, who voiced out his preference to be paired with the blonde haired man. Sitara rolled her eyes, perhaps she should be paired with the other blondie instead. She rolled her eyes. “Looks like you’re stuck with me.” She wasn’t sure how old the critter was.

What was next? Sitara wasn’t quite sure, however, she was up for anything and she assumed chubby was competent.

Once the pairs were assembled Darth Raven nodded. She glanced over to [member="Darth Valdra"] and [member="Darth Ferus"] , hoping the latter would keep the former from further interruptions. This was still her class after all. Not best to be upstaged by a pair of Sith Lords when she herself was still only a knight, going through some final training herself. If anything she hoped this, along with other actions that would accumulate in the future, would eventually grant her the privilege and honor of being a master. And of course bringing these students closer as well to their next levels of training.

She turned back to the lesson by saying "Now then, students, I want you to start with a basic force push. Not too light, but not so hard as to send your partner flying into the wall. If you do so you will fail the class. Even if it IS a mistake on your part. We do not give second chances." She walked around them as she said this before further implying "Those about to be pushed merely brace yourselves. Once the first person has finished immediately switch positions. Continue until I say stop. Ready...go!"

Kitty

The Attention Seeker
'What?' Kitty thought to herself. She thought there were going to do force strength training. Oh well at least it was switched to something Kitty was already fairly good at. Thought the thought that messing up meant failure was a nerve wracking fact.

Kitty turned to her partner and made sure she was ready before giving her a push with the force. Kitty felt as though the amount of force was right. Assuming Kitty was right and didn't fail she would proceed to warn her partner "I'm pretty light." as the two continued to proceed it would get easier and easier for Kitty to know exactly how much force to put into it.
[member="Melori Raaf"]

[member="Sitara Qin"]
Popo walked up to the very attractive girl and bowed as was customary where he was from
"I may have not introduced myself, I am Popo"
He sat smiling as if in thought.
"You may go first, I will allow this."
He braced himself as best he could. He dug his feet before he would be pushed.

Again, Melori was on familiar ground – but practice was never a bad thing. In truth she hadn’t set her feet before her partner gave her a decent shove with the Force. On the plus side, Melori was an accomplished dancer and her sense of balance – even without any Force enhancements – was good. So although she was lifted off her feet, she landed gracefully enough to not have Kitty docked any points. Competition was all well and good, but getting someone into trouble when it could be avoided? That made no sense to Melori. She was here to prove her own worthiness, not any other Acolyte’s lack of it.

"I'm pretty light," she heard Kitty say.

Melori nodded and saw her partner brace herself. Once more her eyes morphed back into a yellow hue as she called on the Force and pushed. Except she aimed for Kitty’s lower legs. Not a full force Push but a decent one.

After all, they were told not to send each other into the wall. Nothing had been said about taking their feet out from under them.
