He let out a scoff. "Maybe you need some imagination."

Though...she could be pretty imaginative in some places.

The thought made him grin for a second, though he didn't dare say it out loud, instead he simply ran his fingers gently down her spine, catching her attention for half a second before walking passed her and towards the door. He crouched down, letting out a grunt as he ignored the flare of pain that ran through his back. He frowned, running his hand against the seam of the door.
"It's supposed to be hidden." He said quietly. "Old age made it fall in."

He tapped again it, the door falling in slightly. "It probably came loose during take off."

Vibrant blue eyes stared piercingly at Kurt and his insinuation, though she kept quiet, allowing the gesture to speak on her behalf.

Sometimes the best response was one of cold, silent glaring.

"I see." She replied, her shoulders rolling partway back at the feel of his fingers along her back. Jamie followed, pausing as Kurt crouched down, her eyes following his hand's motion along the outer edges of the door frame. "Why would there be a hidden room on a ship like this? It's not exactly something I would imagine smugglers owning." The ships she imagined that were used by outlaws were a lot more...Rickety was the word. And though this ship certainly fit that bill now, back in its' day this was still considered a bit of a luxury craft.

"I'm starting to think most of the ship is coming loose." Her voice took on a bit of a worried, but also told you so tone. "I'll say that I will feel much better when we land and I can get off this thing."

"Oh it's fine." Kurt said waving his hand. In truth, space was probably the best place for this ship to be. Barring any unforeseen circumstances it was doubtful that the vessel would be suddenly coming apart. After all in Space there weren't really many outside forces. The hull of the ship was solid, that much Kurt already knew, and with that factor taken into account it was mostly safe to fly around...mostly. IN truth it was the landing that worried him the most, but he hadn't shared that fact with Jamie yet.

He frowned for a moment, then looked at the small door.

"Smuggler's aren't the only people with things to hide." Kurt pointed out as he placed his hand on the door. "Plenty of people want to keep things hidden away."

That was certainly a fact. "Especially the rich and powerful."

Kurt made a gesture to this ship. Nubian's were almost exclusively purchased by the rich, and for good reason too. The ships were fast, light, and shiny. In his experience rich people liked shiny things, especially when they served a function.

A held tilt followed a full posture shift in the blonde. Her left hand dropped to her hip, prompting that knee to bend slightly, giving the girl a slightly diagonal stance as her eyes narrowed upon Kurt. To any onlooker it would be obvious that his lack of regard for the state of the ship was not lost on her. As displeasing as it was to hear him shrug off her concerns there was little else she could do given the circumstances. It was far too late to do anything but wait it out and hope for the best when it came time to touch down on Naboo, but that did nothing to ease her worry. In the mean time though she would try and focus on something, anything else.

"I suppose. What do you think is inside? Gosh, I hope it's nothing dangerous. We have enough to deal with already, and I don't want to be arrested for landing with contraband."

Wouldn't that be some kind of welcome home gift for her parents? Arrested at the port of entry for docking with illegal arms or spice!

"My parents would likely disown me, and I can only imagine how they'd react to you if that happened."

"Well." Kurt began as he pressed against the door. "That's easy."

The small panel began to fold inward, then made a slight click noise as it fell into place on the small unseen tracks. The Courier grinned. "If we find something bad, we throw it out the airlock before we actually get to the planet, that way no one knows."

He shrugged slightly.

That wouldn't actually have been his own first action, but he wasn't alone anymore. Jamie's comfort was as important to him as his own was, and if she didn't want to run around with spice, then he wouldn't do it. Simple that way. He pressed against the panel gently, letting the door roll away to the side. He imagined there was likely a switch somewhere that did this automatically, but he doubted that would even work now. The door slipped away without too much trouble, opening up to reveal a rather dark, yet surprisingly spacious room.

Oh...Right...That works. Jamie hadn't quite thought of that herself. Ejecting things out into the void of space wasn't really something she had considered as an option, as simple of a solution as it sounded.

"Yea, I guess we could do that." A growing anticipation began to build in her chest as the doorway slid open, revealing a large and dark space within. It seemed odd that such a room could even exist given its' size. Smugglers typically chose small, inconspicuous places to store contraband, didn't they? So what was the need for such a large, secretive room on a ship like this? Surely any sophisticated authority would be able to perform some kind of hull scan or something and see that there was something this large, no? Was that possible? Surely it had to be.

"Woah." Bright blue eyes glanced about as the blonde slipped her hand partway into the room, feeling along the outer wall for something resembling a switch to turn on a light of some kind. Surprisingly though she felt nothing, though perhaps it was on Kurt's side, or maybe there was simply no light intended to be in the room for all she knew. "Can't really see anything." One hand reached back into a pocket, pulling out a small datapad for which she quickly tapped through the available apps until she found the flashlight app. "Here we go!" She said with a smirk. Jamie then turned the light away from Kurt's face and into the room.

The room wasn't a simple cargo hold, nor was it really designed for holding any sort of big item. Instead it seemed that the room had been built to house...people, or rather, a person. Inside of the room was a single bed, beautiful tapestries hung from the wall, silks ran from the bed, and everything appeared incredibly...fancy. There were no pictures anywhere, but it was clear that someone had lived here at some point, or had at least stayed within. There was a thick layer of dust on everything, and a conspicuous level of...wholeness.

It seemed that unlike the rest of the ship this room remained untouched by age. "Creepy."

Kurt said the words quietly.

"Maybe some kind of hiding place?" He asked, more to himself then Jamie. "For if the ship was boarded?"

That didn't really make much sense either, it wasn't like the door was all that secure. Hidden yes, but not secure. He suspected that a safe room would have security. Then again the room also didn't look like a prison either. He frowned and moved over towards the closet, pointing for Jamie so she could guide the light with him. Kurt opened the double doors, taking a peak inside and registering what he saw inside with a simple noise. "Oh."

Kurt snickered.

It appeared that whomever had owned this ship before the old Alien had worked as a courtesan.

"Hmm." For a hiding place it was sure easy enough to find. That seemed odd to her. There had to be a better explanation.

The light danced from wall to wall as Jamie shifted the datapad in her hand to follow Kurt's movement about the room. Some of the designs on the cloth and tapestries she surprisingly recognized. A sigil above the bed displayed the insignia of an old, though still prominent family on Naboo. It was one she had not had any serious interaction with, but one that was recognizable all the same. Jamie reached out with her left hand and touched Kurt's shoulder, lightly pulling at his shirt to grab his attention and direct it towards what she was observing.

"I know that crest. It belongs to a family back home. Though I don't know why it would be here in this room..."

As directed she redirected the light towards what Kurt was now focusing on. It was hard to see around him and into the closet beyond, so she had to ask what it is he was looking at in there.

"Oh? Oh what? Did you find something?"

"Heh." Kurt slowly stood aside so that Jamie could see. "Well...you could say that..."

His words drifted off.

Inside of the closet, what had made Kurt come to his conclusion, was a wide array of things that one might expect from a very experienced person. There were leathers, ropes, and many other things that even the unseemliest of Tatooine's underground would have balked at. Of course, Kurt found it amusing, even more so when Jamie made her own observation.

There was something about Nobles, something about the rich that made them want to venture out. Not all chose to run around the galaxy with a dirty Courier, others apparently chose to be a tad more adventurous in their exploration of the galaxy and the things in it. Kurt could hardly blame them of course, but that didn't make it any less funny, especially when Jamie finally managed to come to his side and take a look at what was in the closet.

"Everyone likes something." He tried not to sound too amused.

As Kurt stepped aside to allow Jamie a better, more clear view of the contents within her eyes suddenly widened in clear astonishment and disbelief to what she was seeing. It looked more like a torture chamber than anything! Restraints of various kinds, certain unmentionable costumes that left nothing to the imagination, as well as tools to inflict certain levels of pain upon their targets. The expression on the girleft grew more concerned the more she saw.

"What in the Force is this?"

She asked more so rhetorically than anything. Perhaps she asked simply to hear what Kurt thought, but mostly she was just at a loss for words. Behind the light it would be hard to see but the blonde's face began to redden the longer she stared.

"I...I think that's enough exploring. Yes...That's plenty I think."

He tried not to laugh out loud. There was a certain humor to this, especially because it all looked so...new. In fact the closet was nearly sparkling on the inside, clean, well kept. It looked like everything was rather precious to whomever had owned all this, and for an odd reason Kurt could see why. "Are you sure?"

Kurt asked with a wide grin.

"Look at all the options we have now for..." He broke into half laughter. "Exploring."

He was only kidding of course.

Maybe.

Probably.

One brow raised high on her forehead as she gave an otherwise expressionless stare at Kurt. No words would come from her for a long minute as she considered what exactly he'd said. She was pretty good at reading his tone and body language, and so was able to at least get a feeling that there was some bit of masked meaning behind his words.

"Um, what?" Were the two words that finally came out. "Come again?" She added, her arms folding across her chest as she continued her stare down of her boyfriend. "What exactly are you getting at here? You're not really asking me to...." her face scrunched up as the words came. "Wear that are you!?"

He gasped, as if affronted. "My love."

Kurt began to schmooze, sliding an arm around Jamie and pulling her close to him in one quick motions. His hands slipping onto her hips before his arms quickly wrapped around her in a tight embrace. His lips rested dangerously close to hers, his eyes alight with mischief.

"I would never do such a thing." He said flatly. Then pressed a quick kiss against her lips, lingering there for a moment before slowly sliding down her cheek and towards her neck, pressing his lips against her skin all along the way before whispering. "Though experimenting can be fun."

He couldn't help himself.

Kurt never could.

Even if Jamie were blind she would see Kurt's play even as he made it. She had even been the victim of this very scheme a number of times in the past. So while the girl returned Kurt's kiss in kind and even seemed to nestle herself into his embrace she was quick to place her hands lightly on his chest and push him back just a bit.

"Uh Uh." She said with a shake of her head. "I know this game. Not playing into it this time."

Jamie raised her index and middle fingers on her right hand and pressed her lips against them before turning them to Kurt, placing them against his own.

"Besides, you need rest, not sex."

Kurt gave her an abashed looked, as though the very notion were wounding to him. Of course, she had figured him out exactly, but that was neither here nor there. He smiled for a moment, his fingers gently tracing on the small of her back. "You're right."

Kurt said simply, though the mischief hadn't left his eyes.

"We'll leave the experimenting for later." He kissed her again, or rather, he kissed the fingers pressed against his lips. "We do have quite a bit of time here after all."

Before she could object Kurt darted off.

They still had a little bit of the ship to explore, and now that they had found one secret room Kurt was confident thatthey could find more

With a heavy sigh Jamie shook her head again, an eye roll following immediately after. Kurt was, well, Kurt. No matter how many times, or in what manner she objected, sometimes he just didn't listen. She wondered for a moment if he was just on some other wave length that just didn't register the things she would say, or if he just enjoyed not listening to her protests.

Before turning to follow the man, Jamie gently closed the closet, with every intention not to see the contents again in the future. She then followed his trail down the corridor and around the corner.

"You should be using the majority of the time for resting, like you promised." Perhaps guilting him into resting was the only way to get through that thick head of his!

He frowned for a moment. She used a tactic that he profoundly did not like, one that he couldn't really fight without feeling bad. He looked at her for a moment then gave a loud sigh. "I can't lay in bed all the time."

That was true.

"At least not alone." That was also true. It might have seemed like another scheme, but there was a tinge of vulnerability in his voice. Perhaps she would see why, she'd always been good at seeing through him.

There was a reason that Kurt was always on the move, always going something, always thinking. He was on the run. Jamie and Kaile had slowed him, but he was still running, not yet ready to confront the ghoststhat haunted him.

Not yet.

"I didn't say I wouldn't stay with you." There was a genuine smile that followed her words. He would have to be crazy to think she didn't enjoy simply being next to him. She enjoyed the simplicity of intimacy in just sharing their bed together.

"If you promise to rest soon I'll promise to be by your side." This time she pressed forward, as if sealing the deal by kissing him with an abundance of passion to show him that she wasn't teasing or trying to bait him into a trick.

"I just don't want you to hurt yourself, that's all."

For a moment he let silence pass between the two of them. It wasnt like he didn't understand where she was coming from, he did. After all if their rolls were reversed Kurt wouldnt even have let Jamie leave the bed. He knew where se was coming from, but for him, it was different.

"I was in a crash once during a race." He'd never told Jamie all that much about his podracing career, there had never been much of a reason to. "I broke an arm and shattered a couple of my ribs."

He remembered that vividly. "I was racing again the week after."

Granted, his parents hadn't known that and wouldve killed him for it, butin his mind the point was the same.

He was tough, and if they were going to just lay in bed then it wouldn't be for more than a few days.

"You are impossible, Kurt Meyer!"

She shook her head wildly, strands of blonde hair falling over her face as she did so. "You don't listen to me or to common sense!" Jamie scoffed, fixing her hair while they wandered towards the far end of the ship. The lights in this area could have stood to be replaced, their dwindling light almost entirely snuffed out. The floor itself seemed a bit uneven, as if parts of the metal had warped over time, raising and lowering the durasteel plates in some parts.

"How are we supposed to explore Naboo if when we get there all you can do is limp around like a broken old man? Or worse, have to go back to the hospital for tearing open the wounds again?"

She eyed him accusingly. "Hmmmm?"
