Mission Gone Wrong

Aeron received his rifle and immediately started firing at the guard until he heard nothing but a quick thud and silence. Though the silence didn't last long as he heard the cracking of metal bars and Ay Ge turned out to be a cyborg herself and compared to Aeron she had a ton of more cybernetic enhancements maybe even too the point that she felt more robot than human.

Aeron saw as [member="Ay Ge"] continued to break through the metal bars and looked back at [member="Kerx Zyron"], "You're in good hands with that cyborg. I'll give you your rifle back but first I need to take out the rest of the guards"

Of course, the other guards were rushing towards the sound of blaster shots undoubtedly ready for a confrontation with an escapee. Two guards came running down and just like the first one Aeron shot them dead, then he waited to see if more would present themselves. They didn't.

Aeron handed his gun back to Kerx and wandered over to one of the guard's bodies. He salvaged a bloody keycard off of him. "Gross but at least it'll get us out of here"

Ronin hadn't actually been expecting Koenrad to have him do anything. He assumed that "Be ready." meant 'I'm gonna do something be ready to act' or 'Be ready when someone else comes.' Well, either way, he dashed-- okay, more of a lunge, it was only a few feet, towards the guard, and somehow managed to grab his card. He slammed it into the scanner on the wall, and somehow managed to get the cell door open. Ronin turned towards the guard. He had brought his blaster to bear, and had it aimed at Ronin

"Chit!", he ducked, as the guard fired the blaster, and it missed him completely. He probably would not be so lucky a second time. He launched an uppercut, aimed at the guard's jaw, and it connected, disorienting the guard enough for Ronin to grab the wrist of the blaster wielding hand and slam it against the iron bars as hard as he could.

The blaster hit the floor, and Ronin dove for it. He managed to grab it with his right hand, but he was still on the ground, his back facing towards the guard. Suddenly, the guard kicked him, hitting his left side in his lower ribs. The pain caused Ronin to instinctively roll away to his right. Now on his back, with his legs facing towards the guard, Ronin regained his senses, and brought the blaster to bear, shooting the guard three times. The body fell to his right. Quickly, Ronin got up and looked outside the cell, shooting any cameras he might have seen in his brief scan. He then turned to Koenrad. One might have expected Ronin to be more concerned with guards that might have been coming to kill them, but while Ronin had been fighting this guard, another much larger commotion had started to unfold on the floor below them. Ronin turned towards Koenrad.

"Wow, I'm alive... let's get this floor freed and cleaned." He walked over to the keycard he had dropped. "Here, if you can't find any weapons onthat guy that you want to use, then you can at least unlock doors." He tossed the card to Koenrad. "You don't seem like a blaster guy, so I'll keep this, but for future reference, I'm... the worst at close combat. Alright, your lead."

[member="Koenrad Neistov"]

Koenrad snatched the card out of mid-air before turning it over in his fingers, examining the small metallic rectangle.

"For future reference, I'm definitely a blaster guy," Koenrad corrected, a tad disgruntled by the assumption. He gave the dead pirate a cursory glance, decided there was nothing worth salvaging, and moved on. Windroamer's cell was at the end of their hallway, and he had certainly made himself known. Koenrad took his time getting there, both to check the other cells and to let the man beg a little more. He had very little respect for a man who had to ask others to liberate him from a problem he'd gotten himself into. Sauntering into view, he raised an eyebrow at the small man and slid the keycard through the door controls. Urgency was perhaps the farthest thing from his behaviour, and Kunz made no effort to change that. The grate slid upward, and D'vok was free.

A ringing clang, and the sound of shearing metal scraped through the floor below them. That, the blaster fire, and the shouting downstairs were undoubtedly a result of the other prisoners. Koenrad wasn't all too keen to get into that fray. What he did want, was his gear back, his ship... and he wanted it sooner than later. Walking to the turbolift and flashing the card again, he waited patiently for the doors to open.

"I'm off the the armoury, lads," he called behind him, to [member="Ronin Naara"] and @D'vok Windroamer , "You can stay here, by yourselves if you'd like, but seeing as I have the only keycard in the immediate vicinity, it would be in your best interests to join me!"

Ronin raised his eyebrows as Koenrad... sauntered away. "Oops-- oh well."

Ronin left the cell and walked to where Koenrad was, reaching him as he was unlocking Windroamer's cell. "Sorry about that then."

He was considering whether offering the blaster back to Koenrad would be a good idea or not when Koenrad announced his intended destination. Nevermind, that solved that problem. He hurried towards the turbolift.

"Let's help them down below first. No point making two trips there. Also I don't know how to prevent reinforcements from getting here, and I'm pretty sure one of them does. Sketchy folk." Ronin started to drop down into a crouched firing position facing the exit of the turbo lift, then stood back up.

"Wait a sec, also, there is no way you know where the armory is..." Ronin got ready, assuming that wherever Koenrad decided to send the turbolift, he was going to have to shoot someone, fast.

"Thanks... Hey wait!"
D'vok ran after the two, catching up as they reached the turbolift. He heard that they were looking for an armory. Armory equals weapons. Weapons equals not dying cold and alone on a starship far from home. D'vok decided these people would be his comrades. He looked behind him. He heard muffled blaster fire, and more footsteps. Bad news.
"Thanks for the save guys, I didn't wanna rot in that cell. My name's D'vok. You?"
He looked curiously at [member="Ronin Naara"] and [member="Koenrad Neistov"].

"Name's Koenrad, call me Kunz," With that, Koenrad slid the door to the turbolift closed and pressed the up button. Perhaps towards the bridge, perhaps the barracks, perhaps the airlock... they would find out when they got there, "And you are very right, my vertically challenged friend," He said, turning towards [member="Ronin Naara"] , "Because I haven't the faintest clue as to my future whereabouts. But see, the level below us is not only getting blown right to hell, but is also most likely where the security on this rust bucket is concentrated. That should, ideally, leave the rest for exploration... and seeing as these men are armed and high, I can only assume that there is somewhere on this ship, an armoury!"

He turned back towards the doors, before glancing again at Naara, and asking, "You follow?"

@D'vok Windroamer

Ronin was not happy about the "vertically challenged" remark. Though he supposed it was payback for his earlier "not a blaster guy remark", so he let it slide. "My name is Ronin Naara, and I hope we don't land in their living quarters." At any rate, they were hopefully going to find out soon enough

Aeron wandered over to the turbolift at the end of the hallway and slid the keycard through after wiping all the dried blood off of it. Aeron waited patiently for the turbolift.

Unfortunately for [member=" Aeron Tosh"], the turbolift had already started its ascension, and would not return to the lower levels until it reached whatever destination its three occupants were approaching.

*Beep*

Vam pushed his cell door open, shunting the corpse to the side. Peering down the hallway, he noticed a gathering of... definitely not pirates. Good. Tucking the stolen blaster in the back of his waistband, he made his way over to them, unlocking prisoner cells as he went. Three were already on the turbolift by time he arrived. Cautiously, he approached the remaining prisoner.

"So... is there a plan, and does it involve getting my stuff back? Because I paid good money for it, and I don't intend to allow some greasy freebooter to pawn it off for drinking money."

Aeron glanced over to the man who started speaking to him

"Where were you when I was busy shooting down guards? And no, I don't have a plan, but now that you mentioned it I guess my first priority would be to find where our stuff is first, and then we'll hopefully be able to escape with it. Right now we're waiting on the turbolift to come back down to us."
