DESCRIPTION
Given her past as a competitive swimmer on Dathomir and then on Trandosha, Varindar had the idea to not only share her experiences as a competitive hippodrome swimmer and how the Ta'jar Blood Gang used swimming to launder money while the Crown Nebula Hotel was still Ta'jar property, but also to show how different crime rings active on oceanic planets used the various sports that fall under the umbrella of aquatics (in a criminal context, aquatics is usually understood as hippodrome-style swimming, open-water swimming, synchronized swimming, diving) for that purpose, exposing the similarities and differences between the various moneylaundering schemes. On the whole, the book provides a primer on both the state of competitive swimming as a sport and money laundering methods. Even then, the book is not meant to facilitate attempts at money laundering. The contents of the book are laid out as follows:
  • Part 1: An Introduction
Preface: Varindar, the high school and the hotel
  • Chapter 1: Competitive swimming as a sport
  • Chapter 2: Common moneylaundering methods

[*]Part 2: Moneylaundering in the water
  • Chapter 3: Gambling as a vehicle to launder money
  • Chapter 4: Hosting meets with dirty money
  • Chapter 5: Athletes as money mules

[*]Part 3: Moneylaundering out of the water
  • Chapter 6: Shell companies and capital expenditures
  • Chapter 7: Operating a swim club with dirty money
  • Chapter 8: Round-tripping with professional services
  • Chapter 9: Perpetual lending and repaying with dirty money
  • Chapter 10: High-intensity securities trading
