Monster Park [TSE Dominion of the Celanon Hex]

The Dark Lord reached out, fingers grasping Vaulkhar's shoulder in a fatherly embrace. "This pleases me to hear, my son. For too long I have chafed under the inadequacies of forlorn children, watching each one fail me in turn. There are few among my children that I can truly be proud of, Joycelyn, Elani... And now you as well." He shook his son's shoulder, fingers squeezing once in reassurance before they slipped away as the Emperor turned away to look at the forest beyond.

There was little to indicate what the Emperor was thinking about, his mind impenetrable to all. Nor did his expression give any context to his thoughts, impassive and stoic as it was the majority of the time. Yet there was a melancholy twinkle in both of his dark and hateful eyes, a regret born of the course of action he had been forced to take.

But there was no time for hesitation or doubt when it came to decisive action.

He had already made up his mind.

"Now come, my son. Our hunt here is finished. We must prepare for the greater challenge ahead. The greater war."

Vaulkhar mirrored his father to the best of his ability, remaining outwardly stoic as pride swelled within his chest. Eight long years of service and loyalty felt suddenly worth it as the words he's longed to hear were finally spoken to him. He had heard plenty of stories of his sisters Joycelyn and Elani. He knew how dangerous and powerful the duo were, as plenty had fallen to their hatred and anger. Many feared the Zambrano lineage, but among the plethora of children that stalked the galaxy, only those two were truly the blood of the Dark Lord.

Until now.

While a sense of joy gripped his cold heart, Vaulkhar spotted the momentary lapse in stoicism in his father's eye. Whatever could of brought on such emotion was beyond the younger Sith Lord, but it was not his place to ask. Only to do.

"Of course, father. We shall crush whatever stands before us."
