Morale Hotel

These days, she was grateful for the rank as a Jedi being a non-factor in the chain of command: that way actual talent can be rewarded over Force-power. Once again, she has seen weirder stuff than her hosting a morale-boosting party in a 5-star hotel on Trandosha for those of the more senior people who fought the New Sith Order on Charros IV: a padawan in a flag rank among the Republic's fleet. The highest-ranking guest at that party was, of course, [member="Sentus Olan"], but in the hubbub of the party, and the additional navy servicemembers attending as well as its musicians, she didn't pay attention as to who would be staying for a night at the hotel, and who wouldn't do so. The partially-completed third floor would still be able to host guests in its completed portion, with the current hotel's capacity being 38 rooms, of which 11 are suites, 20 are quadruple-occupancy rooms, 6 are double-occupancy rooms and, of course, the Imperial Suite. As one of the more senior attendees to the party is arriving at the front office, which may or may not be Sentus, she quickly addressed the guest coming in.

"Welcome to the Crown Nebula Hotel. What can I do for you today?"

The hotel, Sentus had to admit, looked nice. The tell tale signs of construction could still be seen from the exterior, but overall it was nice. As he stepped out of his speeder and fixed the cloak that hung over his admiral uniform, he hoped he would fit in with all the other party goers well enough. Stepping out of the vehicle behind him were a few other ranking officers from the 9th fleet, invited by Sentus to come to the party with him. The 9th fleet hadn't participated in the battle of Charron IV itself as a whole, only minor elements had been present. Sentus had been sure to have them come. Like him, most of them wore some kind of cloak, something that was practical aboard the cold ships of the 9th, but had since becoming a hallmark of the Void Wolves. It was easy to pick them out in a crowd these days. Walking through the main entrance of the hotel, Sentus briefly stopped as the woman, a Jedi by his guess, stopped him with her question.

"I am here for the celebration."

[member="Varindar Asyt"]

"One more question: did you book a room, too? Or did someone else book a room on your behalf? I'll get the room sorted out before you head off to the celebration"

Yes, [member="Sentus Olan"] was a guest of the celebration, which was held in a reception room in the hotel's basement, just underneath the restaurant so that food from the restaurant could be used for catering via a cart elevator. Just that several of the celebration's guests haven't checked in to their rooms yet, and she had to be mindful of their reservations. Likely to be a celebration aimed at more senior crewmembers and some of their underlings, such as musicians. Yet, if someone, probably a subordinate of Sentus, booked a room for him, she'd rather tell him which room his underling booked on his behalf. Just that it often happened that people booked rooms on behalf of others, and sometimes without that other person's knowledge. In the latter cases it was entirely possible that their arrivals were staggered. She tried to check into the room tracking system to determine which room it was, and, if necessary, to hand the keys of the relevant room over to him. And, as far as the celebration is concerned, he didn't arrive too early nor did he arrive late. I was a participant on Charros IV, and I'm the maître d'hôtel here, she thought, before she stood ready to change clothing to her dress uniform.

"I booked my own room. Should be an executive suite for myself, as well as three others for my officers." Sentus turned to look at the naval officers behind him, briefly raising his gloved hand and waving them off. Nodding, the officers dispersed to join the party, mingling with those they knew and meet new ones as well. Sentus turned back to the Jedi working the desk, nodding to her briefly before turning to pull out a small id card, passing it to her.

As she worked, Sentus listened to the music playing in the other room, nodding his head slightly to the beat.

"It all checks out: your room is the Portabello Suite on the first floor, and your officers are in the Melody of Love, the Campania and the Myrtilene respectively. Due to the vagaries of reservations, we could only guarantee the type of room but not specific rooms"

Oh boy, he wanted to simultaneously check four people in, the lead guy's subordinates, all of which are lining up behind him, she thought, before handing [member="Sentus Olan"] the keys to the aforementionned rooms, to then hand out to his subordinates responsible for the rooms, which have just arrived and lined up behind him. She hopes that the admiral won't be complaining about the disparity in room positions, and that the room amenities are enough to satisfy all of the guests, even though they may be separated when the time to sleep has come. Also, by entering their names into the room tracking system, the flag in the program that stated the presence or absence of vacancies in the rooms triggered the Vacancy sign to be flicked to a No vacancy one because other officers in the complex have booked many of the remaining rooms, including a detachment of the 9th's musicians. She just needed some time for changing clothes and then Varindar would act as the maître d'hôtel for the celebrations inside the reception room, where the musicians were already playing the music.
