Weaknesses:
  • Difficult to aim
  • Has to be manually reloaded after 5 shots, which is a fairly time-consuming process
Description: The Versatile Projectile Launch System was a tool designed by Mystic Tekk for Lord Ajihad because he simply couldn't have enough weaponry. He wanted a ranged assassination tool that would be difficult to detect and compatible with his other gear at the same time, and so it was made.

The system is loosely based off of the PA-2 Wrist-Mounted Discharge System, though on a quite smaller scale. This device leans more towards assassination and strategically-executed combat rather than an all-out brawl. It only carries 5 shots at a time, making it an unsuitable device for prolonged fighting. It can launch a multitude of projectiles, anything from darts to small rockets. A target lock-on mechanism can assist rockets and other such projectiles in always finding their mark.

While the high-velocity projectiles can travel a long way, that does not mean they are effective at a long range. The device has no scope, only small ironsights for aiming. This makes the device unsavory for long-ranged combat as well.

This looks like stealth technology to me. Because of that, I'd like to see a simple 10 post development thread for this feature.

How does aiming this device work? Usually things that are hard to aim have pretty short effective ranges, but I'm open to hearing how these concepts could potentially blend together.

For casual reference, wrist rockets, the ammunition used by the MM9 rocket system, have a range of 60 meters. For something a bit more common, the typical blaster pistol has an optimum range of 30 meters.

Removed this function, is I was not aware it was along the lines of a restricted material. My apologies.

It has small iron sights on the top of it. It also uses the lock-on for aiming when applicable. However, given the examples you listed, I dropped the effective range down to 60.
