Effective Range: 2km (self-detonates at 2km anyways)
Rate of Fire: Single Action
Special Features:
  • Electromagnetic propeller
Strengths:
  • Speed of propulsion: Utilizing the Verpine's advanced knowledge of the 'railgun' technology, the MTB is designed to fire projectiles with extreme speed, giving it an edge against countermeasures. The speed that the rocket travels is capable of approximately 1km/s
  • Compact: With around the size of most standard issued rifles, the MTB-5 is easy to carry and fits where most other rocket launchers would not. This helps preserve mobility on the battlefield.
Weaknesses:
  • Rate of Fire: One shot and it has to be reloaded. Manually setting down the rocket, taking another one and putting it back in, also making sure it's well strapped in.
  • Not sophisticated: Unlike most contemporary man-held shoulder-missile launchers, this does not possess a guidance/homing system.
  • Ion/EMP vulnerability: The electromagnetic mechanisms can be disabled with sufficient Ion/EMP attacks rendering the weapon useless
Description: Similar to the G-35 and generally the company's focus of producing arsenal that focused on the three points of - cheap, realizable, deadly, the MTB-5 covers also points. Gad Ignashevic, Corondex's CEO and director of operations, has hired a dozen of Verpine researchers and engineers to help him with the creation of the product as it would be utilizing the electromagnetic propulsion system which is substantially developed by the Verpine race.

With the utilization of the electromagnetic propulsion system, the MTB-5 can fire rockets at tremendous speeds. The kinetic impact itself would be immense when connecting to a hull. Not only that but the other strength that the weapon draws from its propulsion system is the fact that firing projectiles at such speed makes it hard to counter. Also, as every other rocket launcher, the MTB-5 is also recoilless.

Nonetheless, it also has its weaknesses. Being produced more for budget stricken buyers or those looking to buy cheap bulk, the MTB-5 was not produced with any homing systems thus the missile fired is unguided. Additionally, as earlier explained in the weaknesses, the usage of electromagnetic forces to fire the projectile makes the weapon vulnerable against Ion/EMP attacks that may render it useless.

The missiles this product comes with when bought are: tandem-charge warheads.

Either would work, real world or Star Wars equivalents. Something to give another writer an idea of what to expect when one of these hits the side of bunker or tank.

I've generally left it vague and 'universal' deliberatly to cater to those that want to use their own/other missiles and to those who have less knowledge about rockets and their different types. Nonetheless, I will add some generic ones after I sleep so people who actually use just the launcher would have a 'complimentary' ammo if that makes sense.
