Music of the night [Open to all Silver Jedi]

Connor Harrison

Guest
"You'll find what you're looking for. One day."

Connor bit his lips and swirled the drink in his flute at the question which caused his skin to burn a little. One day, with all the of times Connor had stared death in the face, it would creep up on him and claim him. But he wouldn't give up the fight that easily. He turned, the flute loose in his grip.

"I'm fine, thank you Joza. We made it out of there, and the Triumvirate suffered. That's all we can ask for, right?"

He was thankful for the mask, because right now he wanted to hide the wound on his face. The fact she had nearly pulled his eyeball out was bad enough, but now it would scar and leave a pocket of broken flesh and muscle under his socket on the left eye, and it hurt still to even blink. Most wounds he could laugh off or cover up, but she had gotten to the face and now proved to his enemies he was easy to hurt just as any other human; Jedi weren't invincible. And he wouldn't let out the fact he had broken down about the duel to anyone. Ever. Connor Harrison was the one to be what other's couldn't - the expendable sword of Light.

And another reason he was away from the party. He wasn't in the party spirit after the fight.

"You should get back down there and mingle. Enjoy your night, Joza. You've earnt it. I will join you all sometime."

Aria grinned as her new partner expressed his slight apprehension towards the idea of dancing.

"Don't worry. I'll lead," she said with a smile, following out into the center of the hall. She wasn't being polite in her reassurance - Aria genuinely didn't mind if she had to pay a little extra attention to how she moved her feet. The ability to avoid being trod on was something that came quite naturally with decades' worth of martial arts training.

"Aria," she offered when he gave her his name. "It's lovely to meet you, Judah." True to her word, as the music swelled Aria would stay gracefully in step, making sure that when she had to dodge a misplaced foot it was subtle enough to not appear a deliberate effort. Despite both their apparent nerves, Aria found that she did quite enjoy Judah's company, and found his grace or lack thereof quite easy to overlook. In fact, she was finding most of her troubles easy to overlook that night - she was surprised to realize how much she enjoyed a night to be fun-loving and carefree.

"You know, I don't think I'd ever seen you around Voss." As she twirled in time to the music, Aria went for an attempt to get to know him better. "Are you - what? A guardian? A healer?"

Master was eating.

This bode well. The cub just needed to keep supplying his master with ample protein and fat, and that figure would round out plumply in no time!

Also, as Théo was demonstrating, it was rather difficult for one to chew, swallow, breathe, and also talk at the same time. But master did get points for effort. When his voice had sounded as though he were about to choke, the small cub reached up a paw to deliver a quick series of taps to the back that were surprisingly powerful. His efforts at which were rewarded with a loud belch.

Well, at least everyone was breathing.

Following the Valkyri, the small cub was lead around the outskirts of the no bears land known as the dance floor. Actually, it looked rather fun, except the boy wasn't sure just what the people were doing. Whatever it was though, they seemed like they were having fun at it.

Looking out at the dancing peoples, the cub hadn't realized that Théo had stopped. Looking up at the sound of his master's voice, the boy walked right into the back of the Valkyri. Giving a shake of his fur, the boy placed one paw on the small of Théo's back as he peeked out from around the fuzzy faced human.

It was one of the emaciated female human peoples who looked as though they never ate.

"Hi!" the small cub offered brightly, as his faun brown eyes peered up at the tall woman.

She had long fur on the top of her head that was the same color as his fur! He had no idea human peoples could have such pretty long fur. "I like your fur," the boy opined, without even stopping to think about it.

"Aria... that's a pretty name," he mused allowed as he had a tendency to do.

Her elegance was much more noticeable than his. Perhaps there was more of a formal background to this woman. It was appreciated that she did not make him look like a complete idiot on the dance floor. Judah knew enough of the steps to keep up, but there were the few ill placed steps that Aria did have to account for. Every time he did mess up he smiled, slightly embarrassed. He knew it was his job to lead, but this was just going to have to be a bit untraditional. Not every Jedi was good at every tradition. Judah was a living testament to that idea.

When she noted that he had not been seen around much JJ shrugged slightly. "I am not usually around the temple no," he said "I have been somewhat of a nomad traveling from mission to the next. I have trained to be a guardian, but I'm still a padawan waiting for my trials. Recent events have seen me without a master, so who knows when that will be." Recent events was a clue that things had not gone too well for Judah as of late. He would not expound on it unless asked. This was a night to live, to cast cares aside. Since his return from Malachor V he was doing his best to do exactly that. Judah wanted to move on with life, and what better way than to get to know the woman he was dancing with.

"What of you," he asked attempting to lead the woman into the appropriate next step. Judah was getting the hand of this particular rhythm. "Are you a Guardian, a healer, something more elusive and secretive like my father?" Another clue that Judah was not the only of his family among the Silvers. His father was a shadow, Judah Sr. had only confided that fact among two others who were not part of the secret sect. Judah's words could have meant anything to anyone who did not know.

Judah found it easy to talk with Aria. Her attempt did make him feel a bit at ease about the dancing. She was capable, and the fact she did not chide him for his like of grace endeared her to him rather quickly. The act was that of a friendly person, and force knew JJ needed more friendly people in his life. His had been a darker path over the past few months. As the music began to come to an end before next dance would start, Judah followed Aria once again to end on proper footing before the next began.

“Mm.” Joza made a noise of agreement with her lips against the glass, tilting her head back to drain the last of the liquid. She had mixed feelings about the Triumvirate, but this was neither the time nor the place to kick up such painful thoughts. Bakura came to mind, and she almost winced. Did she even still belong among the Silver Jedi?

“I suppose.” She mumbled, realizing that her glass was empty and that her mind was sorely in need of another drink. She tapped one of her nails along the glass, painted a deep shimmering red for this night’s event.

“You too, Connor. Save a dance for me, alright?” She worked a smile up and onto her face, though it seemed a touch tired. With a playful wink to accompany her words, the Zeltron drifted away and back down to the party. Joza felt as if she had enough tact to know when someone wanted to be alone, so she wouldn’t push. Not now, at least.

Relina Zhan

Ducha of Gallinore, "Apollyon the Slayer"
[member="Junko Ike"] | [member="Connor Harrison"]

Finally! A foreign event that gave Ducha Relina Zhan an excuse to wear her special dress. She had landed on frigid Rhen Var a day ahead of schedule, intending to stay for two nights to attend the festivities in their entireity... but the Hapan Noblewoman wasn't here simply as a guest looking for a good time. The fact she was here and not safely on Gallinore was dangerous and unusual behaviour for her as it was. She had business to attend to. She had an Ike to see, an old contact of her's, and someone called Heavenshield. Oh yes, tonight was going to be a busy night, but who says she can't look absolutely smashing? It was in her 'job description'.

Arriving at the icy venue, the expensive fur-lined coat she wore between her hotel and the party was removed by a valet droid, revealing her beautiful gown, white in colour and silky in texture. It reached nearly to the floor, with her toes just barely visible under the hem. Her shoes were an interesting choice for such an occasion: Low wedge dress sandals that slung securely up her calves. She also carried a clutch that matched both the dress and her sparse use of gold jewelry. Her make up was also light and sparse. She was already, to most Humanoids, drop-dead gorgeous without it, but for this occasion, a little for accessorising couldn't hurt. The woman's red-blonde hair was, finally, neatly styled in a chic up-do.

Despite her less-than-humble looks, Ducha Zhan stepped down the entrance's short stairs to mingle with the growing crowd in respectful silence. No fanfare was necessary; her mere presence dressed like this and being who and what she was alone would do that for her without even trying. In point of fact, her poorly-shielded inner emotions were advertising for her as well, readable by nearly any Jedi's passive senses. Indeed, she had never before seen so many Jedi all in one place. To say she was nervous was a gross understatement, but she hid this fact well on the surface. Inside, she was questioning why she took such a risk in the first place.

Ducha Zhan's eyes, the deep blue colour of Gallinore's Ceres Ocean, would begin scanning the room for her contact as she made her way to the champagne. She'd try to tuck herself out of the way as she picked up a glass served by a droid, not directly interacting with anyone unless engaged in conversation for the moment.

"Waiting for your trials, huh? I reckon I'm a long way off from mine, but I'm getting there." It was interesting to see that Aria's was not the only career within the Order that had been rather irregular. Of course, she doubted that his story was unsettling as hers, but everybody had their own demons. Still, it was true that Aria didn't expect her Trials to occur for a good while, but she was working towards Knighthood the best she could. Slowly but surely, that was the expression.

Then he wanted to know where within the Jedi she offered her services. Could she tell him?
"Let's go with the latter...don't tell anyone," Aria said with a smile. She wasn't entirely sure how secret her identity was supposed to remain, but since off the top of her head she could name a few people who were known amongst the Order to be a part of the Shadows - not to mention that one glass of champagne could do more than one would think when in a party atmosphere - she figured it wouldn't hurt. Besides, as Judah became more at ease with the dancing he became more relaxed and increasingly easier to talk to.

"Anyway, enough secrets - someone might overhear. What do you do when you're not working towards your Knighthood?"

"I have missed you too, and this ..", he looked down at Kiriko with a smile, ".. is Kiriko my apprentice. He is Beorni of Midvinter". By now the ball was in full swing, many people on the floor dancing, others conversing high on the platforms over looking the floor and more then most at the food and drinks. It was nice to see the Jedi relaxing and enjoying the company of others of like mind, but more so to escape from duty even if only for a few hours.

He knew his sister well enough to know his last comment would produce more questions, she is a kindred spirit to him and the idea of this old race on Midvinter all but recently revealed would heighten her wanderlust to the max. The want for adventure is strong in her as it is him. "Would you like to dance Sister?", he was proud of her, always is, but tonight she needed to be showed off, looking so amazing as she does, but what in the galaxy would he give to have that little Ren here tonight, a small smile turned his mouth at the thought of her.

"Kiriko would you mind if I leave you for a moment and have this dance with my sister?", he asked not wanting to leave him for too long knowing this little cub could get up to all sorts of mischief. But then the ball could do with some mischief. As she embraced him, Théo folded his arms around her waist pulling her close but looking over her shoulder he noticed a young man leaning on one of the ice columns on the edge of the room. He had never seen him before, and in an instant Théo's force sense reached high alert. He is not Silver Jedi, but he paused taking in his look and dress .. it was Valkyri, the lad was Valkyri from head to toe. It was not unknown for Valkyri to travel off world but it is very rare and to turn up here? And moreover he was watching them, well Mysa. And even more moreover, the look in the young lad's eyes toward him, had made Théo believe he had just been hung, drawn and quartered.

"Shall we?", he asked taking her hand and raised it to his lips placing a soft tender kiss, with the biggest cheekiest smile on his face.

Ducha Zhan, glass of champagne in hand, continued to look about the room, which seemed to be growing more crowded. She knew of a [member="Matsu Ike"], but had been discretely contacted by another of that lineage, one Junko Ike. Further, upon reception of the message, she had to do a double take on something that seemed to suggest a blind date. She was hoping she had misinterpreted it, however. Nevertheless, here she was looking like a goddess as her ethnic group had for centuries been stereotyped. She stood with military rigidity, yet held the stem of the glass delicately. Still, her deep blue eyes scanned the room.

The music had an airy feel to it. In fact, the party itself resembled lavish dinner parties she had attended when her mother was still alive. The difference this time, however, was the absence of relatives from immediate and branch families exalting her and her twin sister with the full intent of stroking not only their own egos, but those of the twins and their parents. There was also, blissfully, a lack of obsessed wanna-be suitors vying for her and her sister's affections. Furthermore, this was a room full of Jedi. Knowing the breed, she had little to worry about, in all likelihood, in terms of personal security. She didn't bother bringing a squad of Space Marines, or Paragon Corporate Security; indeed, she was trying to keep a low(ish) profile and Jedi weren't in the business of politically-motivated assassinations... rather, they were in the habit of preventing them and were well-equipped to do exactly that. The true nature of her elegant ballgown wasn't, as a result, entirely necessary. But, the occasion DID call for finery...

"... Alright, Miss Ike, whereabouts are you hiding?" she asked under her breath, thinking aloud. Her voice carried a distinctive and moderately thick Hapan accent, an alluring romance-language if there ever was one. She then spotted the bar and would begin to move in the general direction thereof.

[member="Relina Zhan"] [member="Kyra Sol"]

Junko was standing there looking to talk to the being, keeping her interest on some of the things. All around them a number of the other jedi who were making a lovely scene but the princess looked past them and much like Kyra who seemed exotic because she wasn't here wasn't one fo the jedi the woman who came in and was standing there for a moment while she motioned with a hand and despite sending them away they were there in a flash. Her vassals who worked to ensure she had everything she needed going over some of the details. "Have the lady Zhan over there brought to meet me." she said it with a grin on her face though as she looked at the woman who was standing there.

They had a whole lot of ah how could she say it... that outfit was tight and formed to her. A very pretty and beautiful thing that the woman was wearing before the jedi knight motioned to another who was with her. "You go and get some of that fine stock for the Atrisian sake. I want to share it with the military officer... maybe get a chance to see how she moves with that dress." She was going over many of the other things to offer the woman she was there with before she turned to give a few of the different things as she stood there. Presenting herself nice and tall in her dress with a large and exposed neckline before smiling. "Oh there is so many pretty people here. I am almost jealous in some cases."

Relina Zhan

Relina finished the first glass of champagne before retrieving another. However, the moment she turned around to mingle again, she was met by a representative of her contact, a lovely lady in her own right. Relina regarded the woman a moment, waiting for her to speak first. When she finally did, she glanced in the direction of Junko.

"The Lady Zhan of Gallinore, I presume?" the woman asked of her.

"Ducha Zhan, yes. Who wants to know?" Relina asked.

"She does." The attendant replied, again looking at Junko.

Relina nodded and met Junko's gaze a moment before removing herself from the bar and approaching her contact. "Thank you, dear one." she said. Relina would sip her second champagne before stopping just in front of Junko.

"Sallan, Miss junko Ike, I presume?" she asked.

Mysa could not help but grin in the direction of the little fluff ball that constituted as her brother's student. It left her with a slight pang of guilt at having left Felix alone on her ship, but he was no doubt sound asleep on her bed so that helped at least a little. "Why thank you, Kiriko, I simply love yours. Like untouched snow." Another reminder of Felix, only without the black stripes of course.

She looked to her brother though with her interest piqued. Beorni... Of Midvinter? "But brother, I thought only the Valkyri..." Her voice drifted into silence for a moment, in hindsight not the best place to begin such debates. It could wait for later. The glimmer in her eye spoke of an unfinished topic, before she gave a tender nod in response to his question.

"Oh, Théodred, I'd love to dance... You simply must excuse my two left feet, though..." Honestly she'd never had cause to learn, and if she was somewhat clumsy in every day life then Force help her on the dance floor. Still, this was her brother. And she simply had to dance with him.

Holding their embrace for a little while longer than she perhaps ought to, it was in that moment that Mysa realized just how much she had truly missed this mischievous brother of hers. Where had all the time gone? Where were the days of them sneaking out of their home on Midvinter to watch the Vhaanir with the dawn? Or stealing Silver Ships to go on joyrides... Until pesky Valiens found out...

They needed time to reconnect, to talk, how long had it been since they were alone and without care? Too long. Not since... No. You will not think about that. Not here, not at such a lovely event.

She pulled back just a touch and smiled up at him. "Please, brother mine, it would be my honor."

Something twinged on the edge of her mind, a familiar presence she couldn't quite place her finger on... But she was in a room of half-known individuals, and the promise of a dance drew her attention away from it as soon as it arose. Of course it nagged and nagged and nagged, but she still couldn't place it. Or more, her mind was refusing to piece together the truth.

After all, there was no way Gideon could be here of all places.

Sorel Crieff

Ready are you? What know you of ready?
It was not that she was old-fashioned. Well, perhaps she was in many ways – but not intentionally so. She embraced change and evolution, as long as it did not conflict with the Code. So her demeanour and appearance were not a manifestation of her wider values but rather a product of what she was.

She’d been raised as a Jedi since she was three. She’d worn robes every day since then. She’d studied every day in the year and latterly she’d performed missions back to back, with her down-time devoted to more study or tinkering with droids or her ship. And now she gave all her available time to Padawans, so the concept of time off was simply not in her psyche. And as for casual clothes, she had none. Not because she thought Jedi should not wear them or she had no interest in fashion. The truth was far more mundane and practical. She had none because she never had an occasion to wear them.

Until tonight!

She rehearsed a few lines in case anyone asked her and settled for, ‘Never judge a book by its cover,’ before she glanced around the room again, noting too many people she recognised to even contemplate leaving early. Or at least ‘too’ early. So she sipped her iced water and smiled at anyone who looked her way, soaking up the atmosphere and listening to the tune that was playing. Given the volume of space journeys she endured, she listened to a lot of contemporary music. Although not her preferred genre, she recognised the melody as something current.

Wow. Okay that was a lot to take in.

"But, it looks just like... Seriously? You're not throwing me through a loop right now are you?" It was a beautiful fabric, truly it was, and apparently it matched the best of the best appearance wise. She ached to touch it, feel the thread count, but she resisted.

"Junko, a pleasure to meet you, honestly, are you a Jedi?" Oh, Kai, you freaking idjit. Of course she was a Jedi, this was an Order of the Silver Jedi event you doofus! Could she look any more like a fool than she already did?

An easy smile brushed away the rising insecurity, and she gave a soft nod of the head. "Yeah, this is honestly my first time among your Order. This Order... Uh..." Her Order? Was that the truth of it now? [member='Connor Harrison']'s nagging voice rang in her mind. Yeah, alright, her Order then.

She rubbed the back of her neck, before chuckling ever so slightly. "I uh... Do you think you could give me a run down on who's who? I know it defeats the point of a Masquerade but... Everyone else knows everybody. I feel like the only person who didn't get the memo..."

Someone else seemed to grab Junko's attention for the time being, and Kyra was in awe at how efficiently her little birdies flocked around her when needed. One sent to the stranger who had joined the party late, another off to find some fancy bottle of wine... It was wine right? Oh, what did Kai know?

"Like you can talk, Miss Ike, you're as pretty as they come." She said with a grin in response to Junko's insecurities, before taking another sip of whiskey.

Aaaannnddd then the stranger appeared, and Kyra felt somewhat out of place. Like the third wheel.

Should she leave? She looked to Junko for some sign of whether or not their time here was over. It would be a shame if it was, she found the Atrisian genuinely intriguing... But honestly she knew better than to stick her nose in where it wasn't wanted. And this looked business orientated.

"Yeah, mine will be a while as well..." he said with a shrug not really elaborating on why. Sure Judah had admitted that he did not have a master, but there were other reasons. The primary reason being he was still dealing with the inner darkness which he had allowed to grow by holding onto guilt he should have let go of. There was much for the padawan in his young twenties to still learn. His past was not a bad one, rather it was one most people would have loved to have. Where he struggled was life confronted him with things his parents had a done a good job od shielding him from. His ideals did not match reality and it was struggle to cope.

Judah nodded his head. He could keep a secret. There was no reason to discuss it further, and as Aria indicated there were other things they could be talking about. They could be getting to know each other, and that was exactly what Aria was trying to do. Judah felt like a dolt for a moment. Here he was the guy and Aria was the one trying lead the things along. Wow there was something backwards about this. She was leading the steps because Judah didn't know what he was doing too well either. Her question was one he could answer though.

"I love to build, especially work with wood. I'm good with my hands and old tools. There is something that is relaxing a therapeutic about hard work. Back on the small compound my dad had built on Corellia to train several of his students under his charge we had a river which ran through the property. The back meadow wasn't easily accessible, and with my mom not being force sensitive she couldn't get out there. I spent a couple of days out working, building a bridge just from what I saw in my mind. There was also a small swimming hole near the house. Work hard, jump in the water after a day of building something, feeling accomplished. Likely why I find myself doing a lot of humanitarian work with the order."

The answer rolled easily off his lips, and the more he talked the less awkward he felt about the steps, and the less mistakes he made. With his mind off whether he was going to crush Aria's felt or not he was much more relaxed. It wasn't that Judah couldn't dance, it was just that he didn't know what he was doing half the time. He smiled.

"What about you? What do you do for fun, when no one is looking and you can just be carefree?"

Junko was surprised for two reasons... one that she seemed to have made an impression that kept the one woman who she dind't know here a little longer... She had been certain that she wasn't that appealing... but wait she could think about the reasons why or she could just come to the logical conclusion. Kyra Sol found her attractive and wanted to see her naked. Problems of trying to remember important tasks, or who people were could easily be solved if the person you were needing to talk with or were going to possibly be in a socially awkward situation with just really only cared about seeing you naked. The ultimate defense mechanism as she stood there and smiled giving the warmest look she could to the woman.

"Yes I am a jedi, a different kind then most as some consider for good or for ill me a jedi princess. My family were supporters of the jedi order and to foster a better relationship I was sent to be trained bfore Atrisia's emperor chose to turn the world into an empire and go after the galaxy. When that failed and the Fringe and sith eventually came most of my family aside from the ones offworld were killed and the jedi welcomed be here to stay. My families fortune and influence with different noble families is still important though for getting information and supplies from the inner core worlds but only so much at a time. Really if anything I think one of the values is the Yovshin that I brought with me."

Junko said it with a small look on her face though while she was looking at her drink and moved over to stand next to her so it didn't look like she was conspiring and pointing out the people with others. She could make out a fair deal of them, she could see a good amount but she didn't know everyone either just mostly the highlights when her hand came up for a drink of her own. She could see the one going over to meet Relina and tell her where to come and who she was. THe smallest view she had though while looking at the drink Kyra had with a small look. "Well I don't know everyone here but I shall endeavor my lady to identify and navigate who everyone is."

Junko stood there when she held out her slender hand and one of the people who had come with her brought a small cup with the warm liquid. Atrisian sake that was warm and steaming as she sipped it with a small smile on her face seeing Relina arrive to be with them. She rather liked this meeting of the three of them, it was a beautiful setting, the two of them were the stunning ones in the place. "Yes lady Zhan please come we were just about to run down the list of people here. Despite the masks they can't really hide themselves from us." Junko said it offering a smile and a place next to her so she would be sandwiched in between the two of them and able to give them the very best.

"Now lets see those two over there." She said pointing to Nico and Lily. "That is my cousin Nico and her padawan Lily, the daughter of some jedi master Jericho and I have never really seen the mother but she is a promising padawan and that." Junko motioning as her pinky came out to point as she took a sip. "Is Theo, one of the grandmasters children and very talented as a jedi. I don't know if his sister is here though but it looks like some other Valkyri are here as well. Such interesting people they are and that." Junko was looking more seeing the zeltrons skin and hair even behind the mask. "Is Joza Perl another of the masters and she is talking to Connor Harrison our resident brooding jedi master. His poetry is surely the stuff of legends."

The last was a joke but standing there she finished her drink and looked at the two women with a smile. "Now lets see who else is here and get some more of this lovely drinks. I plan to dance with at least one of you before the night is over just depends on which one of you doesn't mind the potent and strong taste of Atrisian sake." She said it while getting a small refill of her cup while she was looking over the people there and didn't know Mysa or Aria or a number of the others that were looking around to work with them. It presented a small challenge... well okay she knew Aria but a brief moment when they were trying to rescue Joza Perl and Joza had run off with a sith despite all fo them being there to help her.

Relina listened to the two women. Indeed, she detected a resemblance between Matsu and Junko. How they were related, she wasn't sure, but the relation had to be fairly close. She'd turn her gaze in the direction she was pointing as she identified a few individuals in the room. It would be a fair bet that she'd need to know nearly all of these people in due time. And then, the Ducha's eyes turned to Kyra.

"Ducha Relina Zhan of Gallinore." she introduced herself formally to both of them. To Kyra, she'd give a warm smile between lightly rouged lips. The three women were close enough that perfumes would likely mix between them. Relina's, incidentally, was of an expensive floral variety local to her homeworld. "And you, my dear?" she asked of Kyra.

At the mention of Atrisian sake, she perked up a neatly groomed brow with interest. She had never had the stuff, but she was aware sake was often much more potent than most wines or champagnes. In contrast, Hapan Gold Wine, incidentally, wasn't technically a wine at all. It was actually a distilled spirit made from fruits local to Hapes. Despite the name, it actually more qualified as a brandy. Relina had brought a fine bottle of vintage stuff, which was half buried in a bucket of ice in her hotel room, getting cold for drinking later. She wondered if either of these two ladies had the pleasure of sampling the finest her nation had to offer. "Sake, you say? I brought a bottle of Gold wine myself, being chilled in my hotel accommodations as we speak. Have either you tried it before?"

Hmm Junko turned a little with her head while remaining there giving a grin before she was moving her lips into a nice smile. "Hmm that sounds like something that would be enjoyable to try. I have always wanted to visit and see the beauties of Hapes. Perhaps I can hear or even see about such beauty." Junko's eyebrows raised and they were there for a moment as she motioned with her fingers for two small cups of the sake to be poured for them and one of her vassals were there ready to present them to the two women. There was a small smile on her face that got larger seeing the others around them until she was sure there was going to be a very nice place here. Now she just needed to convince some of them to dance.

Connor Harrison

Connor lowered his head, a small smile as an acknowledgement of her invitation. She lingered for a moment as she backed away, and turned to make her way through the small congregations on their floor to the mass gathering below.

He watched [member="Joza Perl"] go, and she sure caught everyone’s attention, and imagination, as she went.

And now she was gone, he tossed the rest of the flute’s sweet wine away to splash on the frosty wall behind him. With a lick of his lips and a small grimace, he made a note whatever fruit smelt that like he would not be drinking again. He turned and pulled a clawing of ice off the wall that he placed gently under his mask, under the left eye, letting the ice cold water sooth the burning of the broken, raw flesh and it dripped down his face, through his fingers off to the floor discreetly.

He looked out and tapped his finger to the music that played out and saw many Jedi and allies alike dancing and laughing and mingling. And then he caught himself smiling, and promptly stopped himself as the pain came back.

…her cybernetic claws sunk into the flesh, and as much as he pushed, the Sorceress was out to kill him in the most gruesome way possible. It burnt, and he could feel the muscle pulling away…

Blowing out a breath, Connor shook off the melted ice from his hand and wiped it down his side as he moved along the higher walkway towards the metallic stairs leading down to the floors below and the main atrium where the ball was. The ice palace certainly was a perfect place for such an event. Connor adjusted the mask and slowly started to come down, sticking to the side, not making a fuss and just feeling safe around the company of others, even though he was internally alone.

"And I love you, my Coci, until the end of time." While they swayed to the music, he leaned forward to place his lips upon hers for an everlasting kiss between husband and wife. There was not a care in the world about people watching their public display of love or that anyone would be offended by it. Tonight they were but two people amongst many, with no titles or responsibilities getting in the way of their enjoyment. It was nights like these that reinvigorated his spirit; that banished any doubt that he was making Iella proud with his decisions and keeping in the spirit of what she'd laid the foundation for. Everywhere he looked there'd been a smile or laughter upon the lips of those gathered, each of them regarded as family by him.

In time the dance floor grew crowded, with pairs such as [member="Théodred Heavenshield"] and [member="Mysa Snowstrider"] - both easily distinguishable to the man who had raised them - taking the floor. They had both taken the loss of Thrand so very hard that he couldn't help but smile upon seeing them together again, laughing and enjoying themselves. They deserved every ounce of happiness they could find.

Following their deep kiss, Thurion rested Coci's head against his shoulder while he placed a tender kiss upon her head, closely followed by the nuzzling of his nose in her dark hair to relish her sweet scent. While the others danced to the sound of the ballroom classics, these two soulmates were dancing to the beat of their hearts.
