My How the Tables Have Turned (PM for invite)

The falling, burning, alcohol was something that wasn't destined to occur. The masked padawan was so fast, their already unnaturally superior agility and speed bolstered to the upper reaches of absurdity by the Force, it seemed as if the padawan almost materialized, sliding across the bar-top. A single, silver, burning blade slashed through the air, redirecting [member="Thraxis"]' blaster bolt harmlessly aside, shattering a stray beer-bottle laying on a table. The mask tilted slightly, golden eyes narrowed as they watched the scoundrel in the HUD of their mask. The saber began working its way about the cloaked padawans body, as if daring the scoundrel to try his luck shooting the newcomer instead.

"James was right. You aren't his kin." A deceptively warm, melodic voice projected, as the mask tilted the opposite direction, head leaning towards the opposite shoulder. Robes, hood and mask combined, made for a remarkably androgynous figure, and the voice, with the mask, didn't help. Male? Female? Thraxis wouldn't be able to tell right away.

The saber never ceased moving, while the figure continued watching Thraxis, as if waiting for his next move, preparing to react, rather than initiate the next leg of this deadly dance. "Species makes not a family. I get to call [member="James Justice"] kin. Not you." The masked padawan stated confidently. Facts is facts.

Tiali was wearing his custom made Urban camo suit Mk-I his visor covering his face vibroblades on the top side of his forearms and a wrist mounted sonic pistol on his right under forearm. The tikulini leather covering most of his body with durasteel helmet, shoulder pads and chest guard. His belt had an assortment of grenades and a JT-12 jetpack attached to his back. to the lower parts he wore magno-grip boots, with one LL-30 pistols on his thigh with the other side holstering a Stun gun. Along with a paralysis grenade set on his belt.

Tiali was already sitting In a booth drinking from a rather expensive bottle of novainian grog, He saw the situation and saw no need to get involved at the time. Thraxis can handle himself, The the Appearance of a new foe tipped the Balance out of Thraxis's favor.

Tiali Stood out from the Booth to see this lad ([member="Ryn'Dhal"]) that even Tiali just from looking at him can tell he thinks he is an unstoppable force, Tiali release's a heavy sigh and takes a step towards the action. He raises his arm up to aim his wrist mounted sonic pistol towards Ryn'Dhal while he slides over the bar. Tiali without Hesitation fires at Ryb'Dhal The Sound contorts around him, and the glass behind smash creating a shattered and jagged field bellow and around Ryn'Dhal.

(Just so you know, The shot Is unblockable by a physical or energy force including powers due to stolen concentration from the sonic wave. Oh And i'm not putting this here to be an ass it's just that nobody really listens to non force users that take on force users.)

James saw his faithful friend leap into the line of fire and begin swatting the shots away. He breathed out a sigh of relief. There was no doubt that if the beverages on the counter ignited then everyone in this building was a dead man walking. He shook his head; this Zetron truly was insane. Suddenly, one of the occupants of the bar fired a sonic shot at Ryn. The noise made James' ears scream in protest. He grit his teeth in irritation and shook it off. He could worry about the damage to his eardrums later, for now, his friend was in mortal danger.

Catapulting himself over the bar, James flicked his DeathHammer to stun and unleashed a volley of shots at the new-comer. Ryn had Thraxis occupied and he had little doubt that the Jedi Padawan could handle himself. The jagged glass edges slid along his leather pant and jacket as James crossed the bar and dove for cover again behind a slot machine. James didn't care so much if he hit, though that would be a benefit too; his primary concern was to give enough distraction to keep Ryn alive.

Pivoting James fired off a few rounds at Thraxis, to remind him that he was still there--and still willing to fight it out.

"I mispoke," James shouted back, "Ye ain't a scoundrel. Ye are a loon."

Thraxis eyes were filled with fury, he expected there to be some sort of support ready for James, but didn't expect a force-user. though it mattered little, Thraxis knew very well how to deal with Force-users, he had taken them out before and was happy to do it again. He ducked down, his Blasters ere useless right now and had one option now, he put one of his blasters back into its holsters, readying his fist to attack the Padawan, though as soon as he was about to jump over the table and fly towards the newcomer he heard a screech, an echo that moved throughout the room, the noise of glass shattering and covering the room in tis jagged shrapnel.

He looked up for a brief second before being suppressed by a volley of blaster bolts, it seemed that Tiali had arrived from one of the booths, Thraxis grit his teeth, somewhat annoyed that he invited him to the bar and didn't have a drink with him, though that thought was quickly passed and went straight to the payment issue. "Ok, Tiali same deal as always, 50,000 credits for the help, though if you can kill them you get 100,000 credits, and if you can take them alive then I will pay you 1,000,000 credits, for each one, sound fair!" he yelled, the anger in his voice ever present as he looked up to fire a few of his bolts towards the now scurrying James.

He picked up his other blaster, aiming towards James, though always kept his head down, simply aiming his guns over his makeshift fort at both James and Ryn'Dhal, though the firing was erratic and exposed his crazed nature. He could tell a stun bolt from a normal one and knew that if he was hit by one of them, he wouldn't be getting up for a few minutes. He listened to James over the gunfire, "I never said I was a scoundrel, I am the goddamn torturer and de facto leader of the Jackals, I have passed being a petty scoundrel, I am the monster that haunts children at night! And I promise you every waking moment you have will be a nightmare if I get my hands on you damnit!" he yelled back, his fingers going back to a locomotive action, firing at James and each bolt sending a shiver of joy down his spine.

He didn't know there was another in the bar. He caught the movement of the approaching opposition as the man moved towards the bar. There was a sinking sensation as the man started to raise a hand. Before he even elevated its orientation even an inch, Ryn suffered a vision, a warning. Sound. So. Much. Sound. He felt that his powers, and his saber, would do little against what was to come. Rather than allowing himself to remain there when whatever was coming arrived, the padawan's superior reflexes kicked into play. His Force augmented speed coming into effect, the new combatant was taking aim as Ryn'Dhal began leaping off the bar. The pulse of sound screamed forth, shattering glasses, and sending booze falling in waves, the stench fouling the air noticeably. He evaded a vast majority of the attack, though a leg was caught full on, a greatly disconcerting tingling sensation overtaking the limb.

The padawan, normally a creature of grace and agility, exhibited none with only one properly functioning leg to land upon. Toppling over, the padawan upended a number of tables as he crashed to the ground, obscured from view of any other combatants in the room. A sharp intake of breath was inaudible to the others, as the pain in his leg was unlike anything he'd experienced before. Not so much agony, but bewildering, the tingling sensation as the sonic-waves vibrated the tissue and organic material in a way that left his leg with that sensation one gets from sitting wrong for FAR too long.

"James!" The padawan hissed, his com picking it up and relaying it to James and others on the line, keeping the enemies out of the communications loop. "We need to go. I don't see a good outcome here. I don't want a repeat of the prison escape!" He'd felt the beast stirring within, fear for his and his friends lives causing anxiety to peak.

Tiali drops his hands down to his sides ggripping his dual pistols, proceding to raise them both up, preparing to fire only to be interrupted by the fired stun shots. Tiali immediately sprints to the side in an attempt to dodge the shots. With the added Speed from his cybernetic upgrades, he avoisd the first couple of shots.

His pistols still readied while moving he pulls their triggers, releasing blasts of bolts from the barrel all directed towards the James, then one his shot's from the volley hits Tiali's leg. Tiali grunts loudly collapsing onto a table close by knocking it over over. His teeth grating Tiali leans up against the fallen table for cover, holding his pistol up to his chest, the other dropped maybe under somthing who knows?

With heavy breathing raising and lowering his chest Tiali Stay's in the cover holding his position until he can move his leg again. Though with a free hand he pulled out one of his Paralysis grenades, in the event that they escape, assuming that was their next action by Ryn'Dhals words.

James knew that one of them wasn't getting out of here. He had been in enough situations like this before to understand how it would pan out. He grit his teeth; he didn't want to get tortured again, but he couldn't let Ryn fall into the hands of these kinds of monsters. The young padwan had already helped James out by far more than he had deserved from someone like him.

"Go, get out 'ere I'm right behind ye," he shouted over the blaster fire..

The spacer pulled himself to his feet, the burn on his stomach making it challenging, and the yelling painful. He ducked under Thraxis' wild spray of fire that he guessed came from unaimed firing. He had to give Ryn as much time and as much of a distraction as he could. He fired a shot into the pool of liquor that had soaked the bar, in a moment it was a roaring flame, reaching to the sky and cackling in joy. The spacer stood tall with the fire behind him and began raining down a fresh volley of blaster fire and insults. If this didn't draw attention, he didn't know what would.

"Come out and face me like a man, ye coward," he shouted, "or do ye not know what this term means either?"

He grabbed one of the wooden stools and dipped it in the fire, letting it catch flame a moment before hurling it at the Zeltron's make-shift hideout.

Thraxis had continued to fire, though it seemed something was a miss. Smoke. Its scent was clear enough that any drunk man could tell. He listened to the idle threat and with it, a grin wild and untamed spread over his lips, his visor dropping down as he put his hands on his blasters. "Fine then! You want to be met with death, then that is what I shall give you." he screamed as he stood up, the lit chair flying towards him as he dodged it and walked over his hideout, tossing his trenchcoat to the side it quickly caught alight, it had years of alcohol drenching it and quickly blew into a raging inferno. He walked with purpose, if his syes could be seen it would show the joy he was about to have.

"But I feel like I need to warn you. This fight was never in your favor. Phirik tends to do a damn fine job of stopping blaster bolts. Oh, and your little pea-shooters there. Well, the little twins here got the firepower of a Blaster Rifle. I feel like I should clear the air so you know, simply just stop hoping and maybe I will let you leave. With one single condition." he said, he rarely ever indulged in a monologue, but felt like it would be a good experience, especially when he was certain that he could win. He had already seen Tiali's plan and was fairly certain that the odds are in his favor.
