With three quick snaps Filius pocketed the two remaining solid balls and the eight ball. He scooped up the thirty credits and leaned back on his cue, pocketing the credits and looking his opponent over, getting a good look for the first time. She was a young woman, lithe but strong. She looked like the kind of person who did what he did. Hmm, a likeminded soul. Interesting. Though he doubted she had seen what he had.

"Thanks, I guess," Filius said, replacing the cue, "I hate the people who gave them to me, but I have to admire their efficiency."

"But of course," Filius said rather dryly. He set up and snapped off the shot, smacking the balls exactly where he'd intended. As the balls scattered, the precision of the shot sending two stripes and a solid into pockets, Filius suddenly felt himself what would probably be called "going into a funk" if he were still capable of human emotion. In any case, his head began to hurt as his human brain struggled against the brainwashing in his head.

"Efficient, precise, brutal," he said as he claimed the stripes with a quick snap, "More machine then man; that's all I've ever been, and all I ever will be."

Filius missed the next shot on purpose, watching the cue ball skitter around and crack against several balls before coming to rest without pocketing a single one.

"Not capable of failing, unless I try to, or it's physically impossible," he said, "Hard-wired for complete perfection. Takes a lot of the fun out of life, I suppose."

Suddenly, the headache subsided as his the gate of his brainwashing smacked closed and he scowled, the ice cold assassin once more.

"You going to shoot or what?" He said, "I don't have all day."

Carl watched the first game between Cherry and Filius from his spot at the end of the bar, still keeping an eye on Harley. He continued to nurse his huge shot of Kashyyk Moonshine during this time. He wasn't surprised that Filius won the game. He was a bit disappointed that he didn't make it at least appear more sporting though. He wasn't disappointed that the two were starting up another game though, as it seemed Cherry was taking Filius attention away from Harley.

Whether or not it was the smart play didn't matter to Carl, as he took one more swig from the Hutt shot glass before leaving it on the bar. He rose from his stool and limped his way to where Harley was sitting and took a seat next to her. "So miss," he began to speak to her, "seems like you've been getting a lot of attention here tonight. Any particular reason why everyone seems to be enthralled with you?"
