I'm never satisfied with what happens when I put pen to paper. It's caused me to stop so many times and stare hard at the finished product. Well, finished is a relative term. I judge myself so harshly that I can rarely "finish" in the true sense. Perfectionism is great sometimes, but it's a real bummer when you want to be any kind of author.
I've always enjoyed creativity and loved to play with the language, but none of that matters if you personally don't feel like you're doing a good job.
