DETAILED SPECIAL FEATURES
- Multiple firing options: This carbine has multiple firing options that the user can switch with a flick of their thumb. The rifle can fire a single shot, 3 round burst, or fully auto. The single fire shot is the strongest, able to peirce most heavy armors. The three round burst is slightly weaker, able to wear down most heavy armors, if not totally knock through it. The fully automatic setting is the weakest, able to deal damage to medium armors.
- Integrated infrared aiming laser: the user can flick this off and on with their HUD for ease of aiming from the hip. With the proper scanning package (or the ability to see infrared) they can see this laser for accuracy.
- HUD/sensor integration: this carbine seemlessly integrates into the user's HUD and sensor package.
- Faraday cage: This carbine comes with a copper farraday cage to protect it from ion and EMP attacks
- Underbarrel and overbarrel mounts: For scopes and all those lovely add ons and fancy brick-a-brack
- Bio-sync: This rifle's grip has a fancy bio-reader in it. If anyone grips it who does not match his signature, it will not fire.
- Modular attacks: with a variety of attack modes this rifle is able to quickly change in combat to suit the situation.Switching from stun rounds to lethal damage is just a blink away for the user. The single fire option packs enough punch to penetrate most heavy armors (or at least deal damage), and offers a real viable option at sharpshooting with the right scope. The Three round burst is perfect for taking on boarding parties, small fire fights, and hit and run sorts of things. The auto-fire is perfect for desperate moments where Ardgal is surrounded by masses and makes for good crowd control in a pinch.
- Size: The carbine size makes this perfect for giving Ardgal the perfect mix of both firepower and size. For an even greater reduction in encumbered, the stock may be collapsed, and the entire carbine can be broken down for storage in anything even as small as a suit case, duffle bag, or brief case.
- Rugged
- Requires a HUD: like 90% of the features are only accessible through the HUD; like seeing the infrared targeting laser, control of the flood light, and control of the stun capacities.
- Lengthy set up: If this rifle is broken down for storage it takes some time to set up since the barrel has to be screwed on, the butt has to be slotted in and attached with three screws--plus any attachments like scopes or under barrel attachments, that doesn't happen in seconds, it takes time.
- Limited ammo: In a galaxy where blaster pistols alone get hundreds of shots before having to reload, 60 rounds is weaksauce.
DESCRIPTION
For all his pistols, and his 2 sets of armor--plus the two sets of sniper rifles under RMIA's production lines--Ardgal still had yet to find or design a rifle he would like to use as his primary rifle. None were adaptable enough for him to use in the middle of war, no were they really his style to be honest. So the warrior got down to beskar tacks (metaphorically) and went to design the perfect rifle for himself.
First, blasters were by far too common, projectiles too weak, and disruptor lacked finesse or adaptability. So the warrior decided to draw off of particle beam technology.Plus the punch particle beam tech packs was perfect with the explosive damage on contact that is strong enough to level the playing field with saber jockies or tear through armor like mad.And even if the round itself wouldn't be strong enough to pierce the materials, as great grandma Raxis used to sing to Ardgal at night,
"It doesn't matter what shape your in,
Nor does it matter your color o' skin,
Internal bleedin', fracturin', hemoragin'
Tis guaranteed to do you in."
Too bad her career writing lullabies never took off. Now, back to the rifle.
After Ardgal decided to use particle beam technology, he added a unique touch for the versatility of the rifle--a plenitude of firing options. For jobs where the idea was to bring the target in alive, he decided to make a stun capacity. The carbine can only be changed to or from stun with a HUD dialed into the carbine itself. So, if by any means, this link is cut off, then the rifle is stuck either way.Same for the control of the flood light--which that could be pretty dangerous in stealth operations.
All in all, its just a personal rifle for Ardgal.
