Built along the lines of the Pullman-class double-decker chassis, the Neimoidian-class luxury yacht was designed in response to the main flaw of the Pullman: its relative lack of speed compared to competitor craft. However, the increase of speed was achieved without any increase in payload capacity: the ship was widened and stretched on its lower deck, with a bulbous engineering section on the upper deck, to account for more powerful engines and reactor. Also, due to the delicate, fragile even, nature of the passengers using a luxury yacht, the Neimoidian-class comes equipped with a tensor field generator and an intertial compensator to ensure the integrity of the cargo being transported, even after taking substantial punishment, so long as the ship survives.
