Sig laughed as he watched the grandmaster switch priorities from the battle at hand to protecting the innocent. Even more amusing was her attempts at mocking those who came before. Sig was aware that there were others before the Crusade and others from before who sough to return their people to the Old Ways. In Sig’s eyes, however, they were all failures and invoking them did nothing to deter him.

Sig holstered his pistols and laughed.
“If only there were a Jetii with the will to give an honorable fight,” he spat back. He raised his fists in the air, indicating exactly what he meant. “Demonstrate through actual strength why you deserve this pitiful world, and then I’ll yield.”

The missile managed to knock the Rook around a bit, but not enough to throw him off his game. His opponent quickly fired another rocket at Yuri, who immediately cut out his jetpack to drop and avoid the explosion, before reigniting to avoid falling into the stampede. A fate his fellow Mandalorian seemed to suffer as he was hurled and bucked around.

To his credit, he managed to outsmart the whistling birds. They brought down a number of creatures around the Rook as he fought to not get trampled, which luckily created a cozy barrier against the relentless horde with the resulting carcasses.

It wouldn't stave Yuri off, however.

As the stampede passed, Yuri was rocketing towards the Rook. When he finally impacted the man, he used his weight and momentum to try and drive the man into the ground. His stunners sparked the moment he made contact with the man's neck and arm, shooting crippling arcs of electricity through the contact points. Yuri didn't stop there. Once he released the Rook, he activated his cryocaster at point blank range to restrain the Rook in a layer of carbonite. Just to make sure, he added in a few shots from his wrist blaster to the man's gut and legs to try and incapacitate him completely.

It was then that the pain set in. Through the adrenaline, Yuri could feel a seering pain around his stomach area. He stumbled back and looked down to see a beskad-shaped hole in his gut and an uncomfortable amount of blood seeping out. "Karkin... OW!" He cried out. Laboured breaths struggled behind the visor, forcing him to yank his helmet off and toss it aside before he scrambled for his medkit. "Kark that hurts! That really karkin' hurts! You son of a manda-damned harpy!" He shouted at the Rook with a scowl.

Yuri dropped to one knee as he loosened his armour and tried to slap a bacta patch on the wounds through the holes in his body glove. Fight be damned, he wanted to sort this out before the adrenaline wore off. "You can karkin' wait, I'll knock you out in a few. Karkin' hell, this is sore. No wonder Ma was such a harpy at times..." He rambled, mostly to try and keep his mind off the hole through him.

The beskad had found its mark, but so had the Shistavanen's shock gloves. His foe pushed him to the ground - despite the poor momentum he would inevitably have from the somewhat cramped space with the animals whom had been killed by whistling birds around them - it was enough to topple Vesh. Especially with the activation of the shock gloves. Inevitably, the fall would make the beskad dig a bit deeper into his foe.

In the past, Vesh had held onto his beskad through immense pain. A Mandalorian was rarely quick to let go of their beskad. This time, however, when the gruesome shocks started to course through his body, the young warrior let go of the weapon almost immediately. With that, the pained jerks of his body and arm would not risk tearing his foe's internals up completely and electricity would not be conducted through the metallic properties of the weapon, straight into the Shistavanen's internals.

Once released, Vesh's eyes shuddered from the pain, just as his jaw. But the attacker did not relent there. The extremely close range rendered the cryocaster's beam somewhat inefficient, seeing as it would be concentrated onto an extremely small area. Vesh quickly brought a hand to point it away but found that his leg had already been hit to the point where movement was severely hampered. The follow-up shot to his core was prevented as the same hand quickly moved to offer some cover at the small exposed areas - the cost was the pipe which had launched the ion missiles. Greedily, Vesh reached to save his leg from getting shot but was far too slow to get there in time. A muffled scream escaped his helmet as more pain coursed through his body.

He sat in silence. Heavy breaths brought his shoulders up and down, but his legs laid splayed out infront of him, one shot, the other frozen by the thigh. As Yuri spoke, Vesh opened the hatch of his battered vambrace, revealing a battery of far more deadly missiles than the ion ones as he manually cut its power to prevent accidental firings now that its pipe was gone. He then closed it and started to use the flamethrower to unfreeze the leg with a small flame. Regaining full mobility was out of the question, but preventing permanent damage, or even an amputation, was still very much within his power. His blaster pistol laid by his side as both him and his foe treated their wounds.

"We're done." he stated with a disturbingly calm and unemotional voice. Behind the visor, however, he was grimacing in pain. "You-..." he began but let out a pained breath to then take a few moments to recover. "You threw the kitchen sink at me." this time, pain and hints of frustration could be heard in his voice. The frustration translated into him momentarily shutting the flamethrower up and digging out a white and green anti-disease medpack to toss towards his opponent with a bit of force. He did not say anything but nodded to the beast which the blade had stabbed through before it stabbed Yuri.

"Did you even think-....?" it was clear that he had yet to complete the sentence before he cut it off. His dark visor looked into that of the other Mandalorian before he continued working on the frozen leg. Vesh shook his head, apparently, he was done talking. After a bit more time had passed, he would awkwardly try to get up to let his jetpack bring him away from the area, lest given reason to stay.

His attacks found their mark and forced his opponent to back down. Yuri was extremely thankful for that, the hole in his gut was seriously going to be an issue. He couldn’t help but let out a pained snicker at the sight of them both sitting on the ground between the dead animals like some sad joke. Though that laugh dissipated immediately as the Rook spoke up.

”Buddy… that was far from- ow… the kitchen sink.” The Shistavanen managed to grumble as he carefully shifted to face the other Mandalorian. ”I was tryin’ not to send you back to Kestri in a damned coffin.” He spoke up with a scowl. ”I don’t need Vren karkin’ Rook to come down on my head any more than he already does.” He sat back with a hesitant sigh.

The madpack impacted Yuri, drawing a grimace from him. But the gesture was appreciated. He quickly added some anti-disease treatment onto the wounds along with some more bacta. ”Thanks.” He muttered, tossing the beskad back to his opponent. He had his own, it wasn’t that good of a trophy.

"Did you even think-....?"

That managed to draw a growl from the Shistavanen as he glared at the rising Rook. ”Be glad I don’t always. You’d be a lot worse off if I did.” He remarked. He raised his hand to flip the Rook off before he flew off, leaving Yuri alone in the woods. Somewhat too conveniently, Baby finally stood up with a rumble and made his way over to the wounded Mandalorian. He wouldn’t be surprised if that damn droid sat back on purpose to see Yuri knocked around.

”Yeah, let’s get outta here. This fight’s done. I need a karkin’ doctor.” With a number of groans and curses he got onto his feet and clambered into the Basilisk’s cockpit with a lot of effort. The mechanical laugh from Baby earned a passionate punch to his dashboard.

”Get us out.” Yuri ordered as he leaned back to take some strain off the wound.
