With the exception of a few small skirmishes and sporadic bombardments, Zopral City remained largely intact in the midst of the ongoing invasion. However, even with the bulk of the conflict focused in and around Gopsthal, Zopral City retained a modest degree of importance. Compared to the vast HoloScan Database, the databases in Zopral City were smaller and more esoteric in nature. Its libraries—although quite comprehensive compared to any normal database—covered a smaller range of topics. Nevertheless, although insignificant compared to the gem that was the HoloScan Database, they were important in their own right.

Especially the rumored secret archives.

Regarding their existence, Phaelissia knew only enough to allow her to complete the mission. She—along with another—had orders to secure a particular set of data from a classified repository under the cover of a Sith assault, in order to prevent the enemy from absconding with it or worse, destroying it entirely.

Thus, as the background noise of the intensifying bombardment carried outside, Phaelissia waited inside the warehouse, which was in the midst of the city’s industrial district. Her features were cast in stark relief by the holoprojector situated on the small console in front of her. The Cipher Agent’s features were set in a focused gaze as she pored over the three-dimensional map projected in front of her—the estimated layout of the database facility she had been tasked with infiltrating and securing.

It went without saying that the mission would be demanding and perilous. Not to mention, if the assault force was unable to take the facility quickly enough, a holdout might result—a situation where she and her partner would be forced to defend the data against waves of attackers seeking to recapture or destroy it.

Still, Phaelissia pushed the possibility of a siege into the back of her mind. The Cipher Agent had no choice but to trust that the assault force would be able to perform their duties. Or else, she and her partner would have to find alternative solutions.

Her long, pointed ears gave a faint twitch as a sound distinct from the cacophony of the bombardment stimulated her ultrasensitive eardrums. Shutting off the console, Phaelissia turned, her cybernetic eyes glowing with the promise of frozen lethality in the event that the individual seeking entrance into the room was not the one she was waiting for…

Okuma has worked for Sith before at times. Although from his experience they make for lousy clients. They can promise a lot in payment and compensation. But paranoia can have them rage against any possible loose ends connected to their schemes. Because of this the Kage mercenary has had to fight off a few former clients that underestimated him as an easy victim to backstab.

He accepted this contract because he felt more secure with the conflict on Woostri. The chaos affording him opportunity if things get too sketchy with his employers.

The gray man stepped into the warehouse. A place where he would meet his temporary co-worker. The sound of distant bombardment rattling the structure gently. Soon enough he came to the office room that he was to find his partner in. Casually opening the door to let himself in.

Instantly his striking yellow eye focused on the woman glaring up at him. The vibrant hue being the only pin prick of color on his entire body. He tilted his head down to better look at her. His rather relaxed expression made it difficult to tell if Okuma was appraising or scrutinizing the diminutive Aetharian. Her attire however communicated to the Kage that she was ready for action and likely the person he was supposed to be meeting.

He wore a simple black compression t-shirt that hugged his athletic torso snuggly, with baggier tactical pants below. Complemented by a utility belt, holsters for his blaster pistol and vibro blade. His feet were covered in a pair of rocket boots. His true power was more subtly hidden however, such as what was hidden under his eyepatch covering his left eye.

After a brief moment, more of the woman Okuma smirked gently. “You must be Miss Phaelissia I presume. I’m Okuma Milogen, your co-worker this evening.” He spoke softly, almost sleepy in his tone.

Phaelissia’s synthetic eyes remained illuminated as Okuma entered the room. In the process, the Cipher Agent analyzed the man in rigorous, clinical fashion, eyes shifting up and down as she took in everything encompassing his attire, his equipment, his posture, and his expression. All to ensure that he was who he said he was and not some manner of infiltrator.

That, and the fact that he cut quite the striking figure.

Satisfied, Phaelissia’s eyes faded to their neutral glow, lethality sheathed like a blade. She removed her face mask, revealing sharp, doll-like features: a delicately tapered nose, plush beestung lips, and a pointed chin that sculpted her face into a graceful V-shape.

“You are present. Good.” Phaelissia replied, after Okuma had introduced himself. “You may call me Phaelissia here, but when we are on comms or engaging in formal communication, you will refer to me as Cipher 666 unless stated otherwise.” The Cipher Agent stated, her tone leaving little room for argument.

“Now,” Phaelissia turned then, before gesturing to the console, intending for Okuma to stand close to it. “Do you have any inquiries before I initiate the briefing?” She asked, her tone softening. Her gaze shifted back towards the mercenary, wide with equal parts intent and curiosity.

“You are aware of the nature of this assignment and its expectations, yes?”

At the mention of how to properly address the woman standing before him Okuma smiled and nodded. “Understood…” Okuma also slightly tilted his head to the side as she pulled down her mask, revealing more of her own distinct features to him.

As she gestured to the consol Okuma stepped closer to it. Listening to her question he replied. “I'm under the idea that we’re to infiltrate a data center together and secure sensitive data, correct? I do have a question though, I wish to know how much lethality is expected of me today. Is this a ‘take no prisoners’ sort of ordeal?” Okuma asked to understand whether or not he’s expected to pull his punches here or not.

There was no thrill or excitement in his tone. As though the idea of taking or sparing lives mattered little to the Kage. Seemingly content with either outcome that he was supposed to bring about.

Currently the mercenary couldn’t tell yet if Phaelissia was similarly augmented like himself. Unsure if the glow in her cyan eyes were from cybernetics or a natural thing for her species. He could tell that she clearly wasn’t human.

“Correct,” Phaelissia replied, turning to the console. Her polished, manicured nails danced across the keypad, resurrecting its holographic display. “The data center is located in an underground complex below the library district. We have authorization for unlimited lethality—which we will need. However, depending on field conditions, we may take prisoners to carry out select tasks,” she clarified. The console hummed to life, the holoprojector displaying a three-dimensional map of the complex. “Our mission,” Phaelissia continued, "is to secure the facility, and then hold it long enough for the assault force to relieve us.” The Aetharian raised her hands, waving them to zoom in on a specific point on the projection—the data center.

“The specific information we are targeting is the whereabouts, species, and personal identities of highly Force-sensitive individuals within Alliance territory—those with M-counts in excess of 17,500. If we are unable to hold the facility, our objective is to extract with as much data as possible,” she finished.

“Now,” Phaelissia said, turning towards Okuma. “Are you geared up?” The Aetharian tapped her gauntlet comp. An armament locker unfolded from the wall behind her. Inside, racks of scatterblasters, precision rifles, combat rifles, vibroblades, drone explosives, weapon sights, and other implements were revealed. Everything was in pristine condition, power cells and ammunition neatly situated in wall-integrated crates below.
