Never be too busy to meet someone new

"I'm alright, Master. Thank you" She responded, her body already feeling more at ease with her mind again. Not feeling afraid or ashamed of accepting her Master's help, Dagrim allowed her back to rest a little on his hand as she recovered fully from her previous overload. She knew she had to explain to Master Syn what had happened and although she wasn't a hundred percent sure herself, she felt like she knew what to say.

"I think I might have delved a little deeper than I was prepared for while meditating" She explained. Even if she knew Master Syn only saw her through the Force, she still looked at him while she spoke. It was simply a habit. "It felt like not being able to return to my own mind for a second. But I'm fine now, I'll just pay more attention the next time" She smiled warmly, understandingly. She knew not everything would be easy to learn. Actually, she had prepared herself for mostly everything to be quite difficult. But whichever was to be the case, she knew she could learn. It would only take her time and patience.

He looked at her and understood as he spoke. "I see, that is a mixed moent then. On the one hand, being able to peer so deeply means you can enter meditation likely in the thick of things. Which is a benefit for a jedi serving the lightside of the force as it means you can block out the distractions of others. Your abilities with the force could also become speed of presence then the speed of your own thought which a small handdul of jedi have worked to try and achieve." He had and you could do it a little... the ability to not think and let your body react with the force was easier as he wasn't having to see the actions of the ones he went against. He could just move his body to react tot he attacks and didn't need to think.

"It is also a dangerous things, letting your mind slip away it could enter the realm beyond shadows. A place that many don't come back from because you lose all sense of time there. It could seem like minutes to your mind but really be weeks to your body as it wastes away." There were other dangers there in the shadows as well but what was he going to be able to describe as a feeling in the force that is old, dark and sinister. It was just a blob to him after all when he was rising up and looking down at her as he spoke. "We should be there soon enough, if you need rest or to be other things you have time. I will join you in the cockpit once the chrono alerts we are there."

She slowly stood up as he did, finding it to be easier than she had expected. Everything within her fell once again into harmony, she slightly smiled. She decided to carefully store her Master's words in her mind, heeding his warning and being ready to bring it forth the day she tried again. Her mind now again softly hummed with the presence of thoughts and the feeling was somewhat as pleasant as the moment they had left when she started her meditation.

She nodded as Syn finished speaking an replied, "Resting should do me well. Than you, Master. I will see you in the cockpit as soon as the chrono lets us know of our proximity to Ambria's atmosphere." With this, she bowed her head politely and exited the room. She walked the hallways with confidence, remembering the path to the small quarter she had selected and entered it. Disposing herself of some of the bulkier parts of the robes, she remained clad in her training pants and a simple tank top and lowered herself into the bunk. Sleep did not took long to take her.

Some our later she woke up, as though her mind knew before she did that the alert would be given soon. Once again she prepared herself and just as she was finishing, the chrono gave the alert. She exited the room and made her way from the living quarters to the cockpit fairly quickly, were her Master was waiting for her. She smiled.
"Master @Syn" She said in recognition and greeting.

He nodded his head to her while exiting the room and went towards the opposite end of hall that connected the two quarters for them. His room different compared to the others while he was going over what the droids had been working on as he did own actual robes and jedi clothing but the armored pants and his own skills were trained to a better extent... Plus he knew there was distraction from it before he was meditating and letting the chrono go for the trip. Thoughts on what happened but more importantly what might need to be done as he wasn't exactly certain if his padawan was going to accidentally return to that mental state. If she didn't have some way of coming back or something to monitor her could be dangerous.

However that led to a number of dangers and questions in and of itself before he was hearing the chrono ticking. THey were arriving and it gave that five minute blip to let you know so they would be able to get moving. Turning over a few thoughts as he changed and got some more of his gear mostly the thicker and stronger boots to go with the pants and his belt. he had set it all up before exiting the room and going to the cockpit as his padawan arrived with a nod of his head seeing her. The world he could feel as they were coming out of hyperspace over the world. Ambria was afire with the force itself as he could look out and see all of it with his arms going over his chest.

"Padawan." A small look on his face though while he could feel and see the lake on the world. More areas for them to go over with all of the areas. He knew there were some small areas the jedi had set up on the planet itself. "There is a Seimei site for research teams in the northern hemisphere. The ship has the coordinates and codes for the droids so we can use it." He was looking and as he spoke the computer brought up on the screen some of the information plus what they were working on for the planet itself. The teams of researchers were restoring what they could or seeking out jedi sites across the galaxy itself and the pair fo them could go in towards the lake through the canyon.

Her slim body was covered in attire more befitting of the wilderness. Her saber rested attached to her belt and her hair tied tidily into a bun in the back of her head. Sleep had left her feeling refreshed and ready to face whatever the planet might hold in store for them. Heeding her Master's instructions, Dagrim took control of the cockpit fairly quickly and utilizing the set coordinates, guided the spaceship towards the Seimei site. Then the communicator started beeping and Dagrim opened the line for the one calling.

"Research area, authorized landing only. Please identify yourself."

"Jedi Master [member="Syn"] and his padawan request landing permission."

"Landing accepted."

"Thank you."

She closed the comlink. A small smile stretched her lips as the ship descended and slowly the tents and tables and many papers and maps were distinguishable. She had wanted to be a researcher when she was a child. Then she realized that she had better talents for diplomacy than data gathering. Soon enough, they had landed. She looked at her Master, the smile still on her face.

He gave a nod as the ship was coming in, the massive site they had here was just mostly storage and all the parts but it was still large. Their preservation cases and warehouses where the different teams were set up with artifacts and anything that might be considered an artifact. Or working with different jedi service cirpps to study the plants and how they were being altered with the waters from the lake in the soil. There was a lot of testing as he walked out and there were some fo the Seimei jedi, with research coats and robes on that showed different devices for identifying pieces around them. Other things like study for the creatures on the planet itself were there with different methods for study of them as some of the hssiss were being researched.

"Hssiss." He said it scenting the air and their stink was there but the darkside dragons were around and snarling in the cage while the probes were scanning them for their stealth abilities and the dangerous areas. They were also just large but he was walking past them as the canyon in the distance could be seen, one side of the entrance where they would be able to set up camps with the different teams to go through and search for anything that the jedi themselves would be able to do. He knew a few other areas on the planet itself were being searched or restored like the homes for the sunriders, thon's home and areas around the lake that would be able to monitor it and the dragons there.

The cystaled eyes of the padawan scanned through everything with curiosity and delight. She had a profound love for the unknown and new experiences. This, for example, was the very first time she had been on a research camp. The smile on her face vanished as though it had only been a sudden apparition as soon as she felt it. The dark. She was lucky to say it had not been man the times in which she had found herself in the presence of the darkside. They had been exactly three, counting the day of today. And the previous two encounters had left a mark in her that would last for life.

She was quick in pinpointing the source of the dark. The caged, lizard-like creatures were emanating it. She shuddered as her Master spoke their name, Hssiss. The corellian young woman could no help but feel deeply unnerved by the presence of the creatures in the camp but knowing she needed to calm herself she took a small breath and continued to walk behind her Master, following him in the direction of the canyon. "Master, are those creatures linked to the darkness for a reason?" She knew her question sounded childish in some way, but she knew no better words to express it and clearly the thought of them had not yet left her mind.

He looked back at her. "They are a by product of it. Lak Naath was here for a very long time and there was darkness here. A jedi master contained them under the lake and over the centuries the corruption spread to the water. The hssiss drank the waters and became corrupted creatures. They then could spread it across the world and the galaxy as some found great interest in having them as pets and creatures to feed others to." He kept walking while they were providing some additional information on other parts of it. The camp here was doing many of the different things to help out the others when they would finally arrive at the wall going into the canyon.

"Is everything alright on the other side?" He asked it more curious given how the escorts and teams that were here assigned to protect the researchers and other corps. "Everything is alright we have just had some increased activity since the soldiers we had pulled off the planet. They needed to go back to Denon and secure it from the things happening there." He understood that and the danger that could come with it while the doors were opening and the sounds from the canyon itself were not there but the feeling the force itself was. He could almost wade through it as it was all over his sight. "Then we will head in and report, the canyon and the lake will be a small part of this."
