Never did Delila expect to be back on a military academy as the cadet. Sure, she had thought later in her military career about switching gears once she was too old to be on the front lines that life as a drill instructor would work out excellent. For now, she delighted in being a Major out in the thick of the fight. Being in the thick of things meant evolving and Dells was doing just that by entering the Bladedancer School on Abregago-Rae.
Third time was the charm right? Delila had been searching the galaxy high and low for the secrets of hand to hand combat. Jedi had waffled out and had been one big joke. It only solidified her distaste for Force users at this point.
Maybe it was all for a reason. The military academy offered a structured environment she was used to. Mornings included strenuous PT, trail runs and cardio of all types. Afternoons included small classrooms filled with soldiers in BDU's of all colors -- depending on their station in Omega Pyre or ODF -- studying military history, battle tactics, kinetics, physiology....nearly everything one learning an elite battle form would need to know.
This morning, Delila came in from a long run, the war droid commanding them feeling as if the soldiers under his eye were growing soft. Or perhaps it was punishment. Jogging across the military academy campus, the Major was more than happy to be heading back to her dorm, changing into BDUs and learning more about the Bladedancing art.

Well whoop-tee-doo for Delila, she even landed herself private tutoring classes with the infamous HK-36.
"Hope she had fun running, te-heh-heh-heh"
The droid calculated sinisterly.
Later that day,
He was waiting for her in one of the smaller training rooms, it was dark in there, only the soft glow of red eyes would be visible once she would enter.
Well there was a light switch, of course, which she could use if she wished to, or if for some reason she had night vision with her.
Either way, once she would find a way to spot HK, she would see he was sitting in the middle of the room in somewhat meditative pose, two training vibroswords were laid down in front of him.

Delila most likely got the private tutoring session because she was like a nerf in a china shop. Well...perhaps not that bad. The Major had some grace and had some minor hand-to-hand combat training before, the standard type. To be graceful as the Twi'leks in the class was never going to happen. If she didn't hack off her own leg it was going to be a miracle.
Finding the room, Dells opened the door to find it very dark with just a red glow. Hesitating, she wondered if it was a type of ambush. When nothing came, Delila made her way slowly into the room, finding a light control and flicking it on. Dim light flooded into the training space as she made her way to the war droid.
Droids meditate?Maybe he's in sleep mode...
Sitting down with her legs crossed in front of HK, she waited silently.

When the lights were turned on the droid flickered. Yep, he flickered, soon enough she could see a small spherical object nearby.
Hologram
It would turn off when Delila stepped closer to sit down. HK looked down at her.. From the ceiling.
Yep, his favorite place ever to hang around considering how often he visits ceilings. Clutching to it with his claws and talons, he was looking down at her from above. Releasing them he fell down silently and then
THUD
From behind Delila, she could see the droid teacher behind her, small impact marks left in the floor from his claws as he landed.
"Major Castillon, please, grab the sword in front of you. The objective is simple. You are to keep me from arming myself with the second vibrosword and disarming you from your vibrosword."
The talons on his hands slowly retracted back into his fingers
"We shall talk while fighting, I hope it will not be too much distraction to you, let me know once you are ready."

Very...Very...Odd.
Following the instructions, Delila grabbed the sword in front of her and kicked the other a bit behind her body. HK didn't give any instructions otherwise and a little home field advantage never hurt. The weapon felt foreign in her hand -- Delila was still getting use to the feel of a blade rather than constantly carrying a blaster or blaster like weapon.
She was ready but the talking unnerved her. One only did that to distract a person. Nothing she could do about it however. Her rank had no authority here.
Raising the blade, Delila nodded once.
"Ready."

HK nodded and lunged forward, beginning with something simple, a gliding half-spin kick aimed at her left hip, getting some nice momentum and spin into the horizontal hit, clutching the claws on his foot together into a fist so that she would not be cut.
His hands in a ready position in order to combine in parries or hits should it be necessary.

Delila moved the blade down in an attempt to parry the foot away from her hip, keeping a clear eye on the droids hands. She could have tried to move out of the way and focused on the upper half of the droid but then the second blade would be exposed. The training blade landed with a sickening crack onto the war droids' body, if she had the strength to keep the momentum from pushing her back was another story.

HK used the momentum of Delila's strike to his leg to launch it downward, planting it firmly on the floor as he quickly shot up his other leg then, launching his knee aimed at Delila's abdomen as he moved his palm in a swift but simple simultaneous attack. One that could be more emotionally hurtful than physically if it landed.
As that metal knee shot out at Delila's abdomen, HK's hand moved in an attempt to simply slap her in the cheek.
HK was testing her speed and how good she was at handling multiple attacks.
"I am glad to hear that, have you been practicing after class hours like I have assigned you to?"
Basically HK was asking Delila if she was doing her homework

In attempt to block the knee from her stomach, HK's cold metal hand came to slap her across the cheek. How he had expected her to block both attacks was beyond her. Some people in the room were not super-flexible war droids. Taking a step back, Dells raised the blade in a defensive mode once again.
"Yes. Obviously it is not helping any."

Feeling the second blade at the back of her feet, an idea popped into her head. Ducking down below HK's kick, Delila picked up the other blade and met his hands with it. The droid said as Major Castillon armed herself with the second vibrosword
HK tried to smash his foot down, the one Delila just ducked under, trying to press it down on her in order to push her back or simply just smash her a bit
When she used her swords against his hands he gripped the blade, thankfully made of tough bronzium, pushing on them as well, using his one foot as a pivot point in wrestling with Delila, trying to either push her back, or knock her to the ground.

Delila may commit suicide if the terrible puns continued. Since no one want that, the Major came into the twist with a plan of her own. Keeping the blade in the twisted hand parallel with her body, she brought the other up at a jab into what would be the war droid's side/kidney area.
At the same time during the swing, Delila forced all her weight against HK in one big push. She wanted to gain the upperhand and send him flying instead.

HK caught the blade before the jab connected, stopping it as best as he could with his metal hand, thankfully, the bronzium that made his armor was tough enough to withstand hits like that for the most part.
He wrestled with Delila, trying to push the sword away from his body to avoid being stabbed.
At the same time, Delila started pushing against him, he channeled her momentum, leaning back to try and pull on the arm he was holding and attempt to lift her up, therefore trying to stop her from further pushing by removing the leverage of ground beneath her feet.

With her arm hurting, Delila was busy figuring out how to get out of the situation. The droid was lifting her, taking away her power. Leaning back, Delila hoped to use her body weight to pull the droid in her direction. As she pulled back, a foot came to rest on the metal torso. It was leverage, pulling back and pushing on the droid with her own foot to break free.

@Delila Castillon
"Seems this training is beginning to lift your spirits, Major."

@HK-36
