Never to Old to learn

Sitting on the edge of the infamous lake Nath, Sosu looked out at the deep lake wanting to reach out and drain it of all the dark side energy it possessed, but he knew it impossible. Even if he tried the sheer amount would probably kill him or fill him for life so he just took the time to bask in its ambiance letting the dark energies wash over his body. His upperbody was naked his robe and black shirt sitting off to his right. He didn't seem to have any care in the world. Taking the typical meditation sitting position Sosu closed his eyes and reached out for the force. The more he fed on others the stronger his bond with the force became. It flowed through him revitalizing him, though from what he didn't know. Reaching out to touch the nexus at the bottom of Lake Nath, Sosu quickly recoiled from it. Just the slight interaction brought to surface memories of the people he killed. It was almost as if they had been revived and were trying to torture him. Their screams and cries of mercy plauged his mind. "Shut up!" Sosu yelled breaking contact completely with the nexus that resided at the bottom of the lake.

His little meditation however had opened him completely to the force allowing all force sensitives on the planet to feel his presence and know his location. He already radiated like a nexus but with connecting to one it had amped his presence by quite a bit. His first guest arrived out of the lake. Hssiss popped their heads out the top of the lake before six of them came to shore approaching Sosu. He stared at the creatures feeling their presences in the force. Corrupted by the lake, that didn't matter to Sosu though. He could feed on them, yet it would be dangerous. Standing and backing from the lake slowly Sosu tried to get to his robes which were back where he had been sitting. Reaching out with the force he grabbed one of his sabers summoning it to him at the same time as doing a backflip to avoid the claws of one of the Hssiss.

Feeling the blade meet his palm Sosu landed activating the doublesided red lightsaber. "Well let's get started." He said as he began spinning the blade with one hand off to his left. The first Hssiss charged swinging his claws once again though this time Sosu was equipped to deal with it. Bringing the saber up he cut off the creatures claw causing it to roar in agony which Sosu quickly silenced by decapitating it. "1 down five to go." He said watching as the remaining five began to circle him.

Lexa watched the commotion from the ridge behind the shore of the lake. She had felt the presence of a Force Sensitive that was strong in the Force, so she decided to investigate. This obviously wasn't a very fair fight. However, the man seemed to be a capable sort. So, she perched herself on the edge of the rocks and watched, ready to jump in should things get worse.

The five remaining Hssiss kept their positions striking out at Sosu while he stood in the center dodging their blows were he resorted to the forms of Soresu spinning his saber so fast that it looked almost like a shield. Then two got smart charging at the same time their powerful jaws trying to crunch down on each of Sosu's respective legs. Using his enhanced reflexes he jumped straight into the air causing the two to collide which he'd stab downwards with his blade piercing ones skull and with a slice he decapitated another beast. Though when he landed he caught himself using one of his arms to support his body while the other brought the saber down slicing the seconds head straight down the middle. The smell of burnt flesh filled Sosu's nose which made him want to puke. The momentary distraction had however did cost him as another closed its jaws around his bicep. He knew what was coming next so he deactivated one half of his saber placing it against his bicep then reactivating it.

The blade burned straight through his bicep and pierced the Hssiss's head killing it. With his arm free from the beasts jaw he flipped to his feet to find the final two Hssiss circling him like he were pray. As if they hadn't just seen their breathren slayed before them. They would all make good meals after Sosu finished killing them. With only one arm though he deactivated the second blade once again so he could use just one. He'd be to clumbsy with only one arm trying to spin the blade especially with how long the handle was. Any other jedi would've used some force powers to end the fight, but Sosu couldn't because he didn't know to many. The beasts taking their chance due to his injury rushed him which finally Sosu called upon the force where he'd take a few steps back before lowering his leg stomping the creatures head which only stunned it but offered Sosu the chance he needed to cut in in half where he'd turn raising the blade in a uppercut to do the same to the remaining Hssiss. All the bodies laid strewn around him, but now that the distraction was over he sensed someones force presence which he'd turn spotting the women. Eyes squinting he decided to not feed on the Hssiss yet. "Enjoy the show?" He called out to her in a friendly tone. His face smiling though it didn't touch his scarlet eyes.

Lexa had, in fact. Using the Force, she jumped from the ridge, landing gracefully on her feet before the man. Her cloak concealed her features. "Very much so. Your skill with a blade is impressive," She said, her voice devoid of emotion. She took a step closer to him. "However, I noticed several instances in which the Force could've aided you. You have trouble harnessing it, do you not?" She asked.

Not budging as the women approached Sosu stood still his eyes watching her as though she were pray. He felt her presence in the force and as close as she had gotten to him all he had to do was reach out and drain her, but he was no such fool. One arm was useless at the moment and from the way her presence radiated he knew she'd be a challenge to kill. "Thank you, I spent years honing my skills in saber combat. You are right however I never spent my time studying the force. Saw it as pointless though now I have learned my mistakes." He said simply brushing a few strands of silverish white hair out of his face. "What makes you such a expert on this? You barely look older then me." He asked Though this didn't mean much since Sosu didn't look his age though he had a reason.

Lexa lowered her hood, allowing the man to se her face. A cold smirk appeared on her face. "You'd be right about that. But I know a little more than you think." As she said this, she held up her hand. Insantly, it became wreathed in bright yellow flame.

Finally getting a good look at the women Sosu saw her hand become covered in flames. He stared profusely at it. He had been alive for centuries and had yet to run across a force user who could do what she had done, but maybe that was because he killed them before they got a chance to show him anything of the sort. The flames so bright that he had to squint to stare directly into them. "Touche my friend. That is quite the ability you have there. If you don't mind could you reveal how you learned such a trick and how I could?" Sosu asked circling her. "I'm sure there's more you can do, I want to know it all." He said a hungry look in his eyes though not for the force this time but for knowledge.

"Perhaps," Lexa said, extinguishing the flames and revealing that her hand was unscathed. "But I'll let you eat first." She gestured to the beasts he had just killed. "I hear Force Vampires tend to get a little grumpy when they're hungry." Her light brown eyes met his with an inquisitive twinkle.

First Sosu's eyes widened then they went back to normal. How had she known what he was? There weren't that many force vampires running around the galaxy as far as he knew, he was the only one but there had to of been ones before him for the research that he used to transform to be complete. Maybe it was his presence. Not to many people radiated force energy like a nexus. "Well since you know what I am, I hope you realize just how dangerous a enemy I can be. Or how good of a ally I can make." Sosu warned turning from her and walking to the corpses placing his hand on the nearest Hssiss where he reached out with the force grabbing its presence and draining it completely. Usually after a being died a bit of force energy was left but after Sosu was done inothing could be sensed from the creature. It's body shriveled as though it had been sundried. While Sosu's arm began to heal the sound of tissue knitting itself back together could be heard slowly. By the time he finished draining each one his arm had went back to normal. "Don't worry I'm not going to feast on you." Sosu said grabbing his shirt off the ground and dawning it but leaving his black robe on the ground.

Lexa watched him take the Force from the animals, slightly fascinated. "I assure you, if I had wanted to kill you, you'd be dead." She said. She walked over to him once again, a bit closer than before. "I'm not worried in the slightest. Especially because you want me to teach you something you don't know." Her voice was smooth and clear.

"I can promise you the same thing but I don't intend on making a rival here. I had one in the past and would like to leave it in the past." Sosu said as the women got extremely close to him bordering on dangerous as all he had to do was reach out and touch her. She was right though. He wouldn't do it because she knew something that he wanted to know. Chuckling he looked her in the eye. "Well I know a few tricks when it comes to saber dueling. I think we could help each other. What do you say?"

Taking her soft hand inside of his Sosu kept himself from draining her as a act of faith. "Yes a lesson for a lesson. You can call me Sosu. You can teach first I can't wait to learn that technique." Sosu admitted letting go of her hand.

Lexa smiled a bit, a warmer look to her face now. "Alright then, Sosu. However, not here. You'll need a place that isn't so close to water since you're a beginner." She said softly. She turned and began walking away from the lake.

Seeing a smile for the first time in centuries actually made Sosu smile in return. It had been years since he had seen a genuine one. "Fine where do you recommend? I don't have a true place on this planet yet. I was just visiting so I could try to drain the nexus though I realize how foolish that was." Sosu said following her. "Do you work for the Sith?" He asked eyeing her suspiciously.

Lexa made her way toward a small canyon floor not far from the lake. It was walled in and dry. The perfect place for training. "This little canyon has just enough space for us to move around it, and just enough cover to avoid attracting predators. It's also dry enough to assist you in igniting your fire." She explained." She glanced back at him while still walking. "No. I am not a Sith. But I am not a Jedi either."

Following Lexa into the canyon Sosu observed the surroundings and indeed found it a good place to train. It would even work with the lightsaber forms he planned on teaching her. "I doubt anything would come in here with the presence of two apex predators." Sosu said referring to himself and Lexa. Listening to her explain what she was he smiled. "Good to know, not that I mind either way it goes. You mean me no harm I offer the same hospitality. So how do I start?"

Lexa undid her cloak and laid it down on the ground, revealing her simple get-up: A dark gray T-shirt, black jeans, a utility belt, and combat boots. "Firstly, you need to get in touch with your inner fire. Everyone has it. Some of us, such as I, have been in touch with it since birth. This made it simpler for me to harness it. But for most people, like you, it's buried so deeply within you that you can't feel it at the moment. That's going to make things a bit more difficult." She got in very close to him. "If you want to learn how to weild fire, first you must learn how to feel it. I'll do my best to help you, but in the end, your will alone will allow you to sense it." She said, taking both of his hands in hers. "Now, close your eyes, and clear your mind." As she said this, she did the same.

Lexa like Sosu wore simple clothes, though his wore alot simpler considering all he wore was black pants and a matching shirt. His robes had been left at the lake so he didn't count it. As she neared him Sosu instinctively took a step back. She was more personal then just about every other person he had ever met which was saying something considering he had met thousands over the years. Allowing her to take his hands Sosu felt a ease come over him. As he initially closed his eyes and began the process of clearing his mind the memories of the ones he had killed once again arose impending his peace. His forehead darted with sweat as he went through the motions. Shaking his head a few times to force the thoughts out Sosu was finally able to clear his mind where all he felt was the force.

Lexa sensed the murkiness of Sosu's mind clear. "Good. This part might burn a bit..." She said softly. She focused her energy on his, and delved deep into hit. Eventually, she reached his core. From there, she sent a wave of her own inner fire. It would feel as if both of her arms became several degrees warmer, and the warmth would then pass into Sosu's body. Lexa directed the warmth straight into his core. This act would kindle the fire buried so far into his being. A kind of activation, as it were. The sensation would be nearly overwhelming.
