Dominion New Alliances — GA Dominion of Hapes

sLTPTLC.png

Hapes
With the escalating conflict between the Galactic Alliance and Mandalorian Enclave, it has become increasingly more important to find new allies. So, following the integration of Thyrsus and Eshan, the Alliance's attention finally shifts to the Hapans — a proud people whose founding principles include the construction and maintenance of a strong military. For thousands of years, this military might had served to protect the insular Hapans, but with tension rising in the Galaxy once more, the Alliance seeks to bring their strength into the fold to stop the Mandalorians.

Ontwerp_zonder_titel.png
In Addition to an important political meeting between the Queen Mother and Alliance senators, the New Jedi Order and SIA have been given a chance to prove their worth to the people of Hapes. Within the cluster's underground, various groups have formed with the purpose of overthrowing the monarchy and seizing power of the Consortium military. In these efforts, have have utilized and experimented with Dark Side artifacts.

The Jedi have been tasked to locate these artifacts and neutralize them, while SIA agents have been requested to help root out these criminal groups.

Objective I — Alliances
Queen Mother Kha'la Daaray Kha'la Daaray has invited representatives of the Galactic Alliance to personally meet her in the Royal Palace to discuss the future. The Alliance has requested the Hapans to join the Alliance, but they are not so easily persuaded to give up on the isolation that has kept them save for centuries. It's now up to the senators of the Alliance to convince the Hapans of the mutual benefit for both sides.

Objective II — Hapan Underground
Within the underworld of the Hapes Cluster, criminal groups have formed with the purpose to overthrow the monarchy. As a way to show the Alliance's strength, Jedi of the New Jedi Order and agents of the SIA have been requested to locate and neutralize these groups. But be aware — some have been rumored to employ dangerous Dark Side artifacts.

Mary would be lying if she said she wasn’t feeling a little nervous.
She had never been to any sort of underworld before, and the contrast between it and the glittering city above immediately caught her eye. Here, she could feel so much darkness, in all meanings of the word. She stuck close to the light posts, keeping her head low and trying to appear as unassuming as possible. Few beings glanced her way, most too busy with their own routines. However, Mary knew that she couldn’t let her guard down. She had been told that criminal gangs roamed the underworld, often disguised in plain sight. For all she knew, she could have just passed by a gang member or two.

Mary was itching for a fight, waiting anxiously for a crime to happen. She was nervous, yes, but above all else she wanted to prove herself. She wanted to show that she was worthy of being a Jedi and do away with her outsider status. Mary felt things were still going too slowly, that after all these months she needed to present herself as a worthy Padawan if she ever wanted to be taught the ways of the Force. All the waiting caused her nothing but stress, and it took all her self-control not to yell out.

Instead, she temporarily contained her anxiety and quietly walked deeper into the underbelly of Hapes.

Objective I

"We're mostly here to watch and listen, so stay close, mm?"

Kahlil glanced down towards Katherine Holt Katherine Holt and Shan Pavond Shan Pavond , giving them both a brief smile. With all the conflict as of late, it'd do good for them both to experience the more diplomatic side of being a Jedi. They weren't soldiers after all. Grant it, Kahlil was still plenty annoyed at the Senate itself. But he'd made a promise to Valery Noble Valery Noble to make sure he at least tried to talk with them.

"This should be enlightening, regardless."

Shan brushed down his robes, trying to look presentable as he listened to Kahlil telling the Mirialan and Katherine to stay close. There was a part of him that felt like he didn't belong in a place like this. He wasn't someone who really fit in with nobility or the Senate in his eyes. Perhaps it was because of being raised on Nar Shaddaa but he shook his head, trying not to focus on that as he glanced over towards Katherine and Kahlil, giving the pair a small smile.

"I'm sure I'll be able to learn plenty here. Diplomacy has always been something that interests me, Master."

He lowered his head at that, before turning his attention over towards the others to try and see what he could learn just by watching people. Sometimes being quiet was the best way to learn things, than speaking out loud.

Lehvi stepped off the shuttle, taking deep shuttle as he took in the capital city. Unlike some many worlds that deemed themselves 'advanced', Hapes wasn't a sprawling ecumenopolis. The city itself was clean, urban. But the lush forests went as far as the eye could see, occasionally punctuated by massive, snow-peaked mountains. It reminded him of Haruun Kal.

What it could be. With the right resources.

The Korun's thoughts were interrupted by a polite cough. Turning around, he noticed an Hapan security guard standing behind him. "Right this way Ambassador Vas", he smiled, motioned him towards an air taxi. But behind his smile, Lehvi could sense his impatience. "Of course", he echoed, clambering into the craft. With a lurch, it sped towards the meeting location.

Over the past year, since the formation of the Al'Har Federation, Lehvi had been serving in the capacity of the Ambassador of Haruun Kal. Being that Haruun Kal sat in the shadows of Alliance space, it seemed prudent that there should be someone to champion it's interests, even if it wasn't a member world. The transition from warrior and leader of Haruun Kal, to being one of many dignitaries on Coruscant was...jarring, but necessary. So he had spent the last year understanding the workings of the Senate. Now, he was here for a number of reasons. Officially, to lobby the Hapans to join the Alliance; the threat of the Mandalorian and the Sith was too much to ignore, and the inclusion of Hapes was a net benefit to all. Unofficially, he wanted to observe the process- there would be a time to lobby for Haruun Kal's admittance into the Alliance, and he wanted to be ready.

Muttering his thanks, Lehvi clambered out of the vessel, entering the meeting hall. Plastering on a smile, he immediately began hob-knobbing with the Hapans- entering the diplomatic fray, as it were.

Objective I

The new Ambassador for Lao-mon was already running late (to her first major diplomatic function since her appointment, no less) when she opened the door to her speeder and was immediately assailed by a mob of reporters. Wincing, she raised a hand to shield her eyes from the flashing lights of the floating cam droids as she stood up. "No comment, thanks. Got to go..."

She was here to represent the interests of the Shi'ido, many of whom still lived within GA space while their homeworld was in the process of rebuilding. As she had learned not long after her arrival on Hapes, the local press were less interested in her and more in Cato, who had reluctantly agreed to tag along. Inanna knew it would likely be interpreted as some sort of political statement to bring her husband with her for support, but she didn't think it would be quite like this.

From the moment he got out of the speeder, he was machine-gunned with questions by a cabal of freakishly beautiful Hapan women shoving microphones in his face. Most of them got lost in the cacophony of noise as they talked over each other, but she thought she heard one of them incredulously and shamelessly ask how a man like him managed to marry a woman like Inanna. Now that was an answer she was interested in hearing, even if the sentiment behind the question was insulting.

She smirked to herself as they headed inside, only for her smile to falter and her eyes to widen as her gaze was drawn downwards. Trying to get Cato's attention, she made a subtle but emphatic zip-up gesture, then put her hand to her mouth.

Objective I: Alliances

Another opportunity for a new world to join the Alliance presented itself, and Kel wouldn’t miss it for… well, the world. Even keeping in mind the Hapans’ reluctance to abandon their insular ways, the old Bothan was sure they and their queen would come around in the end. He’d seen both the boons and curses of an isolationist society on his homeworld of Bothawui. Kel had an edge in this specific situation, one that he hoped would help away the Hapans to join the GA.

The Alliance would benefit greatly from the Hapan military’s strength, and in turn, Queen Daaray would find her people very well protected from the Mandalorian threat. It wasn’t just Alliance worlds they were targeting, after all. Not that he doubted their defensive capabilities. Hapes would be a formidable opponent for any invading force, but Kel believed that the challenge may very well be worth the risk to the Mandalorians. They’d conquer Hapes just to say they could.

The old cat shoot his head, clearing those hypotheticals from his mind.

Today was a day of fellowship between the GA and Hapes. Even if they declined, there were still many connections to be made. Kel looked himself over once more, tidying his finery before stepping down the landing ramp of the Tempest and onto the landing pad. He gave a respectable bow to the royal guards present, allowing them to take their precautions and ensure he was harmless before entering the palace.

"For your troubles," he said.

The dockmaster took one look at the handful of credits, grunted, then shoved them into her pocket. "I take it you'll be making more visits?"

"Well, Kavan needs supplies, don't it? Someone's got to provide."

The dockmaster's eyes narrowed. "Mm, supplies."

"And a few luxuries. I've got a crate of emerald wine, straight from Alderaan."

She went back to her datapad. "There's a reason we're called Stepstone, captain."

"People don't look underfoot."

She'd started to step away, but paused. "And they won't."

"Good to hear. Bright stars."

"And long burns, captain."

They parted ways.

The Vagrant freighter's holds were emptied efficiently, massive cargo crates shunted off and onto repulsor-pads for easy transport. The first set was legitimate stuff -- food, clothes, simple tech, some metals. Normally he was selling at a loss; most consumer goods were transported in superhaulers to markets of billions. Here on Kavan, a forgotten little shadow in comparison to the jewel of Hapes, they might actually make a profit on them.

The real profit was made in the second set of crates. In flight, they were hidden behind a simple masking shield to keep their contents being scanned, but it wouldn't do if the port authorities took a peek, which they were bound to do for an independent shipper on a hastily-organized delivery. Enki had arranged for a drop two weeks from now, but with the Alliance closing in, they'd had to move up the timeline.

Idiots. The Se'n Dorrin probably didn't have a shot now, especially if the Alliance left Hapes without challenging their culture. While it was less pronounced on certain worlds, even on a half-forgotten world like Kavan, he and his mostly-male crew would still catch eyes, marked as foreigners off the bat. He'd made sure they all dressed down and kept low.

Particularly when moving a cargo of military-grade arms.

He didn't go immediately, instead checking in with the four other ships that'd come in to move the rest of the product, and making sure they weren't arousing suspicion. Or rather, that they had. All their cargo was legal of course, but they just had to make a fuss, so that there'd be fewer eyes on the crates moving through the tunnels towards the Se'n Dorrin cell.

In time he joined a small convoy, hitching a ride on the back end of a cargo speeder hauling the crates deeper into Stepstone.

Formal gatherings like this weren't exactly Cato's style. He couldn't even remember the last time he'd been to one, if ever. As a Jedi, he usually left the uppity mingling to his superiors, and as a vigilante, well, there weren't any such gatherings to attend.

But life had take a funny series of turns for Cato, frankly almost all for the better. He could stomach a night of the bourgeois for his wife, newly appointed as Lao-mon's own ambassador to the Alliance. In fact, no one could be happier or prouder than him. He had pushed for Inanna to find a new purpose beyond just sitting at home with him and the kids (as pleasant as that could be), now here she was representing her people to the galaxy's greatest superpower. Whether she saw it or not, Cato recognized it as the natural evolution of the role she played in the Shi'ido diaspora. As they say, those who did not desire to lead, often made the best leaders.

So after a bit of pregaming from the free limo champagne, and a bit of extra coaxing from Inanna, Cato stepped onto the scene feeling a bit more himself than he otherwise would have. Immediately he was assailed by a legion of Hapan paparazzi, causing the man to recoil slightly. One question in particular rang out among the rest: how had he of all people married Inanna? Cato blinked a few times in the lights and smirked, "My good looks and my winning personality, mostly," He spotted Inanna having slinked past the vanguard of media reps, pantomiming a zipping motion to him. Cato glanced down to see the fly of his suit pants brazenly open. He blushed and nodded, quickly pushing past the press as he sealed the zipper closed one more.

"Nice save," Cato said when he caught up to Inanna, "Although I'm sure somone got a lucky shot." He tried to adjust his tie, still not quite comfortable in the nice fitted suit he wore, then placed a hand on Inanna's back, "So, what's the itinerary for a hubbub like this?"

Katherine did as she always did when their Master informed them of a mission, she researched it extensively. As much as the Jedi Archive and time would permit at least. She had read up about Hapes and its people, of their matriarchal society and the rocky history with the rest of the galaxy.

What she hadn’t expected was the level of attention directed her way. Back when Kahlil had first brought her to Coruscant, it had been her biggest fear. Overtime, that eventually went away, fading into nothing more than a subconscious thought. But since arriving on Hapes, she had been getting all kinds of looks and compliments.

Shan at one point had made a comment about her face turning as bright as her hair. And of course their Master had that knowing little smirk on his face. He had yet to comment on it, but Katherine knew he would eventually.

The Padawan honestly didn’t know what the locals saw in her. She was just dressed in her usual Jedi robes, her wings neatly folded behind her back. And yet it seemed like almost every servant they had crossed paths with had thrown her a compliment.

Katherine shook her head, she really needed to clear her thoughts.

Worry not Master, we won’t go wandering off.” She looked around, taking note of those who were in attendance. Everyone seemed to be waiting for the Queen to arrive. “I’m very curious to see how things unfold. The Hapans have had an interesting history with the rest of the galaxy.

Vulpesen's tail flicked to and fro as he stalked through the Hapan underworld, his fingers dancing against his saberstaff. Around him and melded into the crowd were a dozen Fox agents, each of whom were headed in the same direction he was. As the Valde of Veradune, he might have been expected to make an appearance before the Hapan Royalty. But he had a Howlaw Excelsus for that. Gracin's battlefield was ballrooms and court rooms. Vulpesen, however, had been tracking down criminal organizations for decades. This was his bread and butter. "Stick to the shadows for now. When the bolts start flying, take out anyone with a blaster, but if they start getting weird, leave them to me. Y'all ain't rated for force encounters," Vulpesen spoke into his comlink, tuned into the channel of his personal forces. Adjusting his hand on his comlink, he then went onto the general galactic alliance. "This is Valde, on ground and closing in."

Inside the glittering halls of the Hapes Consortium palace, Careina Djo swept through the vast corridors with practiced efficiency — her clipped gait echoing against the recently polished wayland marble. The vivid gold, blue, and white plates of her Chume'doro uniform shimmered beneath the drooping handblown chandeliers, made by the finest artisans from Gallinor, and adding to what some might have considered an otherworldly visage.

The glory of her golden hair was kept swept back from her face and pulled into a high ponytail that flowed freely down her strong, lean back like a wild lions mane. All at once, she was soft and feminine, fearsome and proud, brutal and strong--every inch of her the perfect embodiment of the Chume'da's elite — sworn to protect the Queen Mother, her Erenada, proudly until her death.

"Perimeter sweep complete in sector four," Chirped a voice in her ear, another of the Chume'doro updating her on their progress in preparation of the Queen's imminent arrival. "Acknowledged," Careina responded, pressing another tiny button on her wrist to address the rest of the guards simultaneously. "All perimeters have been secured with no signs of intrusion. Maintain your vigilance and be on high alert for any possible threats. Astarta and Ni'Korish, the two of you will proceed to join formation in the audience chamber."

"Understood. Ni'korish and I are on our way to the chamber now."

After that, the comms went silent.

With a soft exhale through her pert nose, Careina's fingers carefully laced themselves together behind her back, pressing onward to the main chamber, her thoughts inevitably drifting towards the day's events that'd stirred the palace's usual buzz. Briana had cautioned her weeks before that war with the Mandalorian's was more of an eventuality than just a vague probability.

The arrival of the Galactic Alliance, yearning to integrate the Consortium into their ranks, boasted the truth behind her younger sisters words. Though Careina remained unwavering in her faith that the Consortium was more than capable of weathering any tempest - as it had for millennia - she would remain steadfast and trusting in Kha'la Daaray Kha'la Daaray . Whatever their Queen Mother decided this day for their people, that would be the path Careina followed without question.

If at the end of the day that meant joining hands with the Galactic Alliance? So be it.

Alliances were always such fickle things that required the greatest amount of attention to ensure that they did not merely wither overnight in favor of another. It was the diplomatic side of things that she was never accustomed to, nor was it exactly her forte when it came as a means to handle a situation. She was often much more comfortable standing on the bridge of a Capital Vessel than standing in a room with diplomats and bureaucrats coming to an agreement on how to properly open a door without insulting either party in the negotiations. Perhaps that was the reason she had cannibalized some poor trooper's armor and donned parts of it over her usual attire, though the light did not help either in terms of remaining comfortable.
Still, she had other reasons to have accompanied those who sought to bring the Hapans into the Alliance, and hers were just as likely selfish as those who proclaimed altruism and feigned righteousness. She wasn't shy in conforming her own selfish reasons for attending, as it had only been a few years since she returned from parts unknown at the Edge of the Galaxy in Wild Space. The Hapes Cluster had the perfect astrography in regard to its isolation beyond the Transitory Mists, and it was an isolation that she sought to capitalize upon if given the chance. While she was in attendance as a representative of the Galactic Alliance Navy, she was just as equally a representative of her own agenda that she sought to advance via her position as a Captain in the GADF.
The armor was a welcomed feel and felt as though she had embraced an old friend that she'd not seen in many years even if she'd only worn a few select pieces; having removed others to maintain mobility and comfort in equal measure to protection. Likewise, for something of such prestige and grandstanding, she had opted for a simple S-5 Blaster, a reminder of a different time and home from when she resided on Naboo with the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Looking back on those few memories, she allowed a choice few to the forefront, though still did her best to maintain her composure as it would not do to be off in her memories in the event an individual was attempting to speak with her or grab her attention.
Amelia took a deep breath as she stepped forward into the audience chamber, having shaken herself from her thoughts long enough to once more become ambulatory as she made her way into the room. Old habits, however, did indeed die hard as she slowly scanned the room to note any means of ingress and egress from the room in the event of an emergency. For now, all she could really do was stand silently and listen while watching the odd boast or skillful application of one's nose to another's backside.

There is fun to be had even in a losing game, Sycorax's words echoed through Lon's head as he walked down a dark street. Well, dark by the standards of Hapes, anyway.

He was here to make contact with the rebellion on Sycorax's behalf while the Senator met with the Queen and all that chit. Lon was chosen for the task because he was her oldest (and deadliest) friend, and because he was the Man of a Thousand Faces. Today he wore a Hapan face, a mask of soft, deceptively harmless male beauty. He slouched to downplay his bulk and looked around with dull, stupid eyes.

Just down a narrow alleyway there was a red door badly in need of a fresh coat of paint. Lon knocked. A panel opened and the gleaming eye of a gatekeeper droid jutted out, peering at him. "Identify yourself and state your business," it ordered.

"'Name's Quasimodo. I've a special delivery from beyond the grave,'" Lon replied. The pretty boy mask cracked as a ghoulish grin spread across his face.

The gatekeeper's eye vanished back into the wall. Moments later, the door slid open, and an old woman ushered him inside, checking both ways before shutting the door behind him.

Hapes was the newest focus of the Alliance in their outstretched arm of influence. And in light of the growing aggression of the Mandalorian's, not an entirely unsurprising move.

The gathering of officials, jedi, and those with much higher pedigrees and other such claims to status had gathered to participate in the attempt to sway the Hapan people to their side. To throw their manufacturing capabilities into the war effort to come. Or whatever it was that the official title was to be of the hostilities between the Alliance and the Mando's was to be this time.

The stiff cut of the military uniform far less comfortable than the armor plates he was trained to wear like a second skin. A jacket with clean lines that while plain, were bold enough to mark him out amongst the Hapan peoples.

A number of them seeming to gather for the coming negotiations. and a few even throwing stares in his direction.

While he had been designated security. His security detail felt more like that of a lifeguard at a professional swimming event. Mostly posterities sake given the assembled bodies present at this function. The small glass of champagne in his hand the first of what he hoped was many to get him through the evening listening to the wordplay and posturing's of the officials.

Hand coming up to idly scratch the bridge of his nose as his eyes took in the assembly.

Kahlil Noble Kahlil Noble , Valery Noble Valery Noble , and what he guessed to be a pair of padawas had gathered and already had begun to take stock of the situation. Inanna Harth Inanna Harth and someone he didn't quite recognize alongside her( Cato Harth Cato Harth ) that exchanged silently before the man opened his mouth. The click of a camera on a floating droid not far behind them as he continued to scan.

A small shake of his head as he raised the glass to sip, pausing long enough to let a thought wander to the front of his mind.

"Probably ought to keep it to one." The defeat in his voice not escaping the glass as he carefully tasted the drink rather than up end it and be finished. A frown now painting his features as he returned to his training. Noting another doing much the same, though catching his eye far more than most given her attire. He was here for security however, and casually chatting up those who might be here to barter a truce wasn't high on his agenda for the evening. Letting the idle curiosity of Amelia von Sorenn Amelia von Sorenn and her attire slip to the back of his mind.

He'd been allowed the sidearm only given the fact he was security, and even then, they'd made sure to make him properly aware of how much trouble he would be in for even hinting at taking the weapon out without good cause.

Opting to keep the power pack in a separate pocket for the time being. Granted, he severely doubted anything more than a few stray remarks would cause any sort of real danger to the assembly here. And maybe a lack of decorum by those observing to learn beneath the watchful eye of their instructors for the evening.

Lily had been warned by her Master the way that Hapans were, apparently they valued beauty above all things, it was curious attitude to have but she put the dress on with tall heels that strapped around her ankles. Lily selected the dress that was simple, elegant and most importantly did not take away from her natural beauty. Her hair braided with sparkling diamonds weaved into her braids that made her hair sparkle and shine. It was a display of her incredible family wealth but Lily was hoping to make a good impression, for the Alliance and for the Jedi. It was important that she only displayed her best and did what she could do help others.

After Kestri, Lily was not eager to leave her Master's side but Briana had matters she needed to attend and Lily could not be there as well.

Walking into the room, her heels sharply clicked on the surface of the palace ground as Lily walked forward. Her hands were placed behind her, as Lily took the time to walk into the palace, her eyes scanning around and taking inside every drop of the palace. It was rare to be able to visit a palace outside the one on Eshan and Lily could not help but marvel at the beauty around them. Lily was sure that things of beauty were of definite high value on this world. Pausing, Lily looked around and spotted the two friends that she had agreed to meet here. Walking over to Ko and Loomi, she gave a warm smile to both. She had heard a lot about Loomi from others, though not had the time to hang out with her.

"Hey," Lily whispered, daring not to disturb the others in the palace that were here to discussed more important political matters. "I think I spotted Shan around here as well, but think we should be quiet and just watch them greet, see how things like this start, then maybe explore elsewhere around here."

It wasn't that she didn't think they would be unwelcome here, just, there was a lot of Hapan to explore and remaining at the palace where they could not talk, were not sought after, it would be best to not linger and risk causing issue.

In all honesty Ko knew next to nothing about Hapes. Just that a few notable Jedi have backgrounds on the planet and surrounding space. The Kel-Dor padawan figured he’d do a simple brush up on the planet before arriving but it seemed to have such a long and complicated history that he felt like he’d need to take an entire college class just to get a basic understanding of the world and the cluster that shared its name.

He knew one thing for sure, he had to look presentable. Ko feared that standard jedi robes wouldn’t make the cut so took to fashioning something indicative of traditional formal attire from his homeworld. A primarily green and black outfit with intricate designs and sleek, shiny black boots that covered his feet and lower legs. He’d been putting more effort into his wardrobe for events like these. Breaking out of his comfort zone of wearing the same earthy tones day after day after day.

Ko also always kept his antiox masks clean. But today I made sure to really give it a thorough treatment. Getting it nice and polished looking. He even asked his friend Cora to give him some pointers on making his sensitive claws cleaner looking. But at the end of the day he still had rough leathery skin that looked more akin to ground beef than anything. Sure, other Kel-Dor, tognaths, and Gand might swoon at the sight of how good he looked. But he sensed a notable amount of standoffishness as a guest here in Hapes. Part of him worried it was all for nothing.

Ko found himself with one of his best friends. Loomi, wanted to spend the time catching up with the sweet godoan girl. Since the last time they were together she was quite drowsy. Then there was Lily who he could hear before he saw her. The sharp clicking of her heels preceding her. For once he felt he honestly felt like he could match the stately young woman in their respective sense of fashion. Although the black dress that hugged her form was simple, it was no less stunning. He reciprocated her warm smile with one of his own hidden behind his shiny mask. If Ko had known, he would’ve tried to help introduce Loomi and Lily. But he’d just assumed his two friends were already acquainted. “Good evening Lily.” He said, his voice was low and soft. The mask didn’t need to work as hard to amplify the volume of his voice as it normally would. “Shan’s here too? I guess that makes sense, he is training under the Shield of the Jedi after all. I’d expect Master Noble would be here. But I agree, probably best we don’t draw any unnecessary attention to ourselves.” If the Kel Dor padawan was being honest he’d probably prefer to just be overlooked by the native matriarchs.

Objective II | Hapes Underground | The Durasteel Devils Territory
Tags: Open | Mary Hilstar
Status: Casing Warehouse-1837K79

-
Perseus strode carefully through the darkened corridors and alleyways, a silent look over his shoulder every few turns. In places like this there were eyes peering from every window, ears on every corner, having a shadow following him was something he couldn't afford. Not when the stakes were this high. It had taken him more than two weeks to finally get a feel for the Hapes Underground, learning the movement of its people and groups, identifying key players and territory limits - all this on top of identifying which particular group happened to be in possession of what he sought. Dark Side Artifacts.

It wasn't even until the end of the second week that he was able to pick up wind of the artifacts, where they were stored for safekeeping was another task entirely. At least, it would have been had Perseus not been resourceful. Thankfully, threats of violence went far in the underworld especially when one had a vibroblade pressed near against their throats. Perseus had let the man live, it wouldn't do to have the local law enforcement hot on his tail but he figured once The Durasteel Devils found out who'd squawked the man would be dead anyway. A quartermaster at one of the lower warehouses, he'd known exactly which crates had been designated for which routes and destinations and it just so happened that several crates of "Domaine de la Maison sur le Lac" were bound for Warehouse-1837K79. Collectively, following the breadcrumbs of information and the information he was able to extract, Perseus now found himself approaching the warehouse.

Security looked light from the outside, a quick scan of the primary hangar style doors revealed. It had better be, thought Perseus. Given how far he'd had to navigate the underground he doubted this was the Devils' primary operation. Too risky to transport illicit goods of that nature in the event of a raid. No, this was well off the beaten path and for good reason. He'd have to find a way inside without triggering any alarms or alerting any guards they did have - with cargo so precious it was a certainty that they had some sort of security in place. Perhaps he could suss it out.

Eyeballing a small food stall tucked between two structures Perseus changed his gait to that of a laborer. Slower, weighted on the left foot. His attire was one of utility, a step away from his typical apprentice robes. Dirty, scuffed, worn boots. He'd fit in, provided he wasn't questioned too deeply. Sauntering up to the vendor he ordered a small cup of noodles and stood, content to observe the streets and warehouse while he waited on his food.

"I think I spotted Shan around here as well, but think we should be quiet and just watch them greet, see how things like this start, then maybe explore elsewhere around here."

"O-okay," Loomi nodded.

The Godoan was visibly anxious, but no doubt that would be felt through the force as well. These were a people that valued beauty above everything else, or at least that's what Loomi had been told. They didn't like scars, or prosthetics, or anything else strange of that regard. To that end she was a walking antitheses of everything the Hapan people held to the highest degree of importance. For that reason it wasn't ridiculous that she was uneasy about attending. Having no desire for attending the war, matters of this nature were to be expected to increase for Loomi, but that didn't mean she was likely to be welcome at such gatherings of diplomacy.

She liked staying back and being quiet. That was far better for her nerves, she thought.

"N-nice to meet you," she added in the direction of Lily.

They hadn't met before now. This was certainly a strange place to make new friends, and a notably far more normal looking one at that. Lily was quite pretty, a stark contrast to herself she believed. Loomi couldn't help but wonder if it was better to stand with her to avoid attention or worse because she may bring judgmental glances towards the older padawan.

Not that it mattered anyways. There wasn't much in the way of turning back that could be done now.
