New Beginnings [SJO]

That was a difficult question to answer casually but something about the honest eagerness of the boy was infectious, "I've been offworld mostly, doing some work with Matsu and my own projects." Really the other Jedi was her main point of contact with the Silvers and it had been her friends efforts that had brought her here to Kashyyyk. "How about you? What sort of research are you doing?" Most Padawans in her estimation probably got stuck with boring research in her mind, it was safe and taught the proper process for self-guided tasks. At least, that was her expectation from the few times she'd had her own apprentice.

Jasper forgot about everyone and everything around him to hear Master [member="Celeste Rigel"]'s words. He wanted to know what she had to say and if it was possible to talk to her. Once she gave the consent to ask her or the masters any questions, Jasper felt satisfied. He could now ask her questions that he felt needed to be answered and wanted to get it done asap. Walking toward the Jedi Master, Jasper looked around to see if what going on around him. He notices a few people mingling and talking to each other, none of his business or concern he thought. Even though he realized he could have gotten some possible information, he felt that the information he would get from Master Rigel was the bigger priority to him than talking to people who to Jasper, felt that they wouldn't give decent information.

Jasper was now near the female Jedi Master and look around the woman to see if there was anyone trying to talk to her first. Afterward, he comes up to her and asks her a simple question, “Excuse me, may I have a moment of your time please?”

She was certainly a timid one, it was kind of cute to see the young girl blush, even if it was due to embarrassment of meeting new people. She was uncertain of why Holi had a hard time interacting with others, perhaps it was just something about her people or any possible attention she would get from her voice and body. "Well hopefully we can change that, I bet in no time you will come to know and like those in the Order", Sukai replied, waving her over to the tables laced with different materials for making the amulet, herself taking a seat.

"Please have a seat and I will step you through the process of making such an item, unless that is you already have an idea of how this sort of thing works". She had said she was apart of the Order for a while, perhaps she had learnt a few things by herself, it would be interesting to observe the Padawan and see what skills she had. "I suggest we start off by getting the crystal prepared, why don't you select one you find the most appealing"?

Hearing that Domino was working with Matsu Ike peaked his interest a bit. The Padawan didn't have many encounters with the Jedi master but he usually learned something when he did encounter Matsu. for example, she was the one that taught him how to use Tutaminis. What really peaked his interest though was the projects that Domino was working on. He wouldn't pry for information, not trying to be disrespectful, but he would at least ask. First, he would respond by answering Domino's question.

"Well, I do research on a variety of subjects depending on what peaks my interest or if there is a need to learn something. However, recently I've been delving into the process and history of cloning. I've learned quite a bit about the galaxy's history of cloning that I didn't previously know, but there was one specific thing that I was looking for specifically: can a clone be force-sensitive? The force lives through all living things, right? So could a clone, who's existence is due to the copied genetics of another, become a force sensitive just like any other living being?"

Reggie's enthusiasm grew as he spoke about his initial inquiries. The Padawan had a habit of going on and on about such things however, so he took a few seconds to calm himself down before continuing, breathing in, and then out. He didn't want Domino to be pushed away by his excess talking.

"Short answer is yes. A clone can be force sensitive, but usually it's due to the template they're based off of is force sensitive. I'm still doing delving into the subject to find out if there are cases where that isn't always true, but i've found out a few other things here and there that would lead me research different aspects of cloning."

He had finished talking now, not going into more detail that Domino might not care for. He would return to what she had said before though.

"You said that you were working on your own projects though, right? If you don't mind me asking, what kind of projects are you working on? Of course, I understand if you can't, or don't wish to tell me. Interesting non-the-less."

The Padawan's friendly and enthusiastic demeanor hadn't changed, seeming to be in his element when talking with others.

Holli sat quickly down - the chair wobbling ominously due to her speed - right next to Sukai. Wearing so many thick layers, she almost emanated heat - especially when she was sat so close.

In truth, gems and amulets were something she knew a surprising amount about. Kolthis' beaches were lined with gold, and chasms ran through the earth that were lined with shimmering jewels. Her people, naturally attracted to the sparkly, were natural jewelers.

She mentioned none of this to Sukai, far more eager to have a helping hand than she was to make the medallion.

With delicate feathers, she picked up an azure blue gem that had a certain luster to it. She was surprisingly dexterous - her tip feathers gripping and turning the gem to her eye as she gauged its purity.

"I think this is the one," she spoke carefully. "Thank you so much for offering to help me."

For the moment, it seemed that most everyone was occupied with conversation or creating their amulets. A soft smile remained on Celeste's face as she watched the members work together, this was exactly what she had hoped for. After a quick glance towards her toddler son, she saw that he was still munching on his cookie and sitting with some of his youngling friends.

Celeste's brows lofted slightly as a young man approached, asking for a moment of time. Turning to him, she offered him a nod. “But of course!”

She had not had many interactions with the boy, that she could recall... but he was familiar. Squinting her eyes for a moment, she remembered his name from the Padawan Clan roster. [member="Jasper Candos"], a member of Heliost Clan. Perhaps this was a quest for knowledge, something that Heliost Clan members were quite well-known for. Moving towards one of the tables, she took a seat and gave the empty space next to her a pat.

“Come, have a seat. What can I do for you?”

Jasper was relieved to know that the Jedi Master ([member="Celeste Rigel"]) spared some of her time to ask him his question and even felt a bit more comfortable around her after her response. “Thank you.” Were the first words he said after her response as he sat down on the empty chair next to her, accepting the woman invite. Jasper then continued “ I heard you're a healer and can heal with the force.Could you try your best to explain to me how healing with the force works?” Jasper heard about the Jedi skills in healing from around the temple and admittedly was interested in the idea of healing ones-self. He didn't know how skilled she was exactly, but considering her position in the SJO, she had to be at least an expert. “I heard you're a master at it.”

Sukai gave Holi a small smile as she too went for a crystal, herself being drawn to a silver one, the women carefully picking up the pretty gem. "It is no problem I need to learn how to teach and guide new Padawans for when I become a master, that and my current student is less of a student and more a partner". "So it is nice to be a guide for someone who may not be used to the Order and requires help, makes me feel needed I guess you could say".

Turning back to her crystal Sukai started to make it levatate infront of her, closing her eyes and keeping concentration on the item in front of her. "Now we need to attune the gem to yourself while in a meditative state of mind, this will help you concentrate when using it". "Do you know how to attune or infuse your presence onto an item"? Sukai was not aware of the fully capabilities of Holi and how much she was able to use the force and thought it best to ask, just to be on the safe side.

It was impossible not to get caught up in the Padawan's enthusiasm as he rattled on about cloning and Domino's smile gradually turned into a genuine grin. "Mysteries of the universe type stuff, how to be in two places. I'm also rebuilding my ship," the Twi'lek waved a dismissive hand at his question before drawing nearer. "Though I used to be quite heavily into cloning myself, even oversaw the creation of an army by the Kaminoan masters. Tell me, how do you solve the madness paradox in cloning a force sensitive?" She was curious to see just how far he had come in his research and to see just how much it connected to her own while still protecting him from it.

Reggie's enthusiasm also spoke of one not yet burned by fire and Domino's research scared even herself at times despite her cautions. This was one of the times ignorance of a thing was a shield to protect the young no matter how much Domino hated that tired excuse. Far better for the inquisitive mind not to know there was a question to ponder in this case.

Celeste smiled as [member="Jasper Candos"] posed her a question. Indeed it was quite a question, too.

When it came to teaching the art of healing there were many different applications, but some were difficult to explain without some kind of visual aid. Lightsaber forms could be demonstrated and practiced, but healing was a bit abstract. She remained quiet and thoughtful for a moment, and then pulled an amulet from her pocket. It was a circular amulet with three crystals set onto it, healing crystals.

"Healing is just another way to use the force, if you think about it. When you want too use force push, you actively channel the force into that action, yes? Healing can be used much the same way, focusing on a wound and using the force to mend it. You can even use a calming, healing force presence to help ease pain." Of course, that was the simplest way. "There are other ways, too. With Art of the Small, you can focus on a disease or a problem and really pinpoint the issue, working on a microscopic scale."

The Jedi healer opened her mouth to say more, but she realized that she might quickly start rambling. She offered another smile, and held out the amulet to Jasper.

"Take a look," She nodded, "This amulet is fitted with healing crystals. It is a good way to start learning how to heal, as you only need to channel some force energy into the crystal -- it does the healing for you. This will mend very minor wounds, and as your skill advances, it can help amplify your healing power."

Nida had lingered near the edges of the courtyard, near enough to hear Master Rigel’s introduction. There were others here like her—Padawans—that freely mingled with one another. They were confident, and they belonged. The young Zeltron still couldn’t shake the feeling that she felt like an outsider, despite the fact that everyone she’d met thus far had been kind to her.

Maybe I am just over-thinking this. Nida gingerly made her way over to one of the tables where some of the others had set to work assembling meditation crystal necklaces. Her eyes brightened at the prospect, ever curious but still too shy to make much of a move on anyone around her. Instead, she sat down and began working. I wish I were brave like Yula. Her older sister had no trouble talking to strangers.

She was having some difficulty fitting the clasp onto the crystal shard, for some reason it would not take hold. Frustrated, she applied more pressure until…cracks spiraled in the crystal and it fractured into several pieces. “Oh…” Nida swallowed a lump in her throat. “Oh no…” She whispered to herself softly, hoping that this wouldn’t get her kicked out.

Reggie listened to what Domino had to say about what she was up to, genuine interest showing from his demeanor. Hearing that she had information on cloning herself was interested him even more, seeing an opportunity to further his knowledge. However, the question that he was asked made him think a bit.

"Hmm. That I do not know if i'm being honest."

The Padawan was obviously in deep thought, going over what he did know about cloning force-sensitives and the drawbacks of doing so.

"There have been some hypothesis' that suggest that since the force sensitive clone is supposed to be a copy of the original template, it causes ripples in the force. The force lives through all lifeforms, and bringing another force sensitive into the world that isn't necessarily natural can cause side affects for the clones mind. Though since there have been cloned force sensitives, that may not be the case.....right?"

The Padawan shrugged, admitting defeat. Seems like he had a lot more to learn.

Dagos arrived here at the place of the Silver Jedi Order. His master had received an invitation to attend a party and had sent him instead. Dagos had not known Jaidain long, only a few weeks but he was not offended when she sent him away. Actually he felt the opposite. It had only been a few weeks but Dagos had grown to like Jaidain and she had explained to him that a Jedi needs community and told him of the Silver Jedi, a group of people she'd known and grown close to and now he was here taking the first steps toward doing the same.

Well almost, at the moment he was snacking on some fruit and just observing the people around him. People that could one day be his friends.

As he was minding his own business, a wave of fear washed over him. Dagos turned and found the source of the disturbance. A girl over at the craft table sat with a broken crystal and a worried look.

Dagos walkeds up to the gir. She was very pretty he noticed.

“hey there.” Dagos said to her as cheerfully as possible “anything I can help with?”

It was Zen's very first day within the Order of the Silver Jedi. He had been brought over from the unknown over towards the planets known of the Wookies. He had been brought here shortly to this location by one of the factions recruiters. He had slept for an incredibly long time to make up the long day of traveling by himself. It was far too much to ask for such a young child as himself. He had most likely stolen some food in order to survive. Who knows?!

Ruby was Zen's Vornskr in bed. They were buckled up. They woke up quite late and when he woke up, he didn't seem to be in too much of a hurry. He looked outside though and saw a lot of people gathering. He was quite curious and dressed himself in his old clothes and wandered with his Vornskr by his side. His Vornskr walked all the way constantly beside him. Zen took a mini-step just as the Vornskr did. He had his book by his side.

He was late already. He missed the introductions and didn't know if he should've been there. He didn't understand that what these clans were suppose to be nor what an initiate was suppose to be. He got near the group, but sat down on a seat and took a meditation crystal in his hand and in his other hand was his crystal of his necklace. "They aren't the same? Huh, Ruby" He eyed to the creature and without a sound coming from the Vornskr. He smiled, "Yea, maybe this is glass. Mine is blue. Maybe they tried to make it silver."

Despite the young man’s friendly tone, Nida’s muscles seized briefly. “Ah,” Feeling silly for being startled, she gave him a cautious smile. “Sorry for jumping, I was a little too lost in my thoughts.”

She peered down at the shattered crystal before turning back to face the newcomer. He was tall and looked to be a few years older than her. Perhaps he was Yula’s age, or maybe Alan’s. A pang of homesickness swept through her at the thought of her siblings.

“I think I was concentrating a bit too hard.” There was a light note of humor in her voice while motioning to the broken crystal. “I certainly hope that this is not a bad omen.” There were those lingering thoughts in the back of her mind again, the ones that told her she didn’t belong. She decided to press on regardless. “I’m Nida, fairly new here. And you?”

Our of the corner of her eye she noticed a boy with a rather unusual pet take a seat to her right. He was examining the crystals and making small talk with the pup beside him. Nida hadn’t seen him around before, which made her wonder if he was new blood like herself.

@Jasper Candos[member="Nida Perl"][member="Zen Phoenix"][member="Dagos Terrek"]@Domino@Reggie Faayare[member="Sky'ito Yumi"]

Jasper heard everything the woman before him said and did his best to took in the Jedi words on healing with the force and did this best to interpret it his in own mind. “Like using force push…” he said under his breath, attempting to compare the two different force techniques in order to better understand what he was told. Admittedly, he doesn’t use the force push technique as he didn’t see any reason to use it other than the one time. He was so focused on understanding and learning the force that he didn’t try any the techniques himself due to him being cautioned. He knows a bit on how to lower his heart rate in serious situations but other than other small minors things that were it. He didn’t want to underestimate the force and do something that could cost him his life. He knew he had too many things to do before life ended in this world.

Upon hearing about the force to ease the pain, pinpointing the issue on a disease to a microscopic scale, Jasper interested began to peak to the point to where he felt he must now focus on learning how to heal from his wound using the force. He wondered if she teaches any classes and is so, wondered what the requirements for were taking the class. Did he need to have a good understanding of the force and have some form of mastery over it?

Jasper soon came out of his mind when he saw Master Rigel about to speak, already ready to listen to what she was about to say. However, she stopped causing a bit of confusing to the young man. The confusing ended quickly when she showed him the amulet and looked at it while hearing the woman words on it.

He soon responded, “Interesting….” He also added: “I couldn’t help but notice that you were about to say something else before you show me this.” He pointed out. “Just to let you know miss, I don’t mind hearing more from you about healing with the force. I’m trying to gather any information that I can, so I know what do you later.” Jasper blinked a few times, he didn’t want to say the last sentence but a part of him consented to it. He hoped that she didn’t suspected anything from that as to Jasper, that would be bad.

Despite Reggie's faltering explanation Domino was still smiling by the end of it. He had quite the head on his shoulders and was pretty smart, not just about the stuff he didn't know, but in being aware that something he knew could be wrong. "You're pretty close. I like to think of it as a sympathetic echo myself, but if you're interested I'd think looking into the Spaarti cloning methods and the failures with it as a good starting point."

That was another tenet of Domino's, never give a direct answer to a learner. A starting point was far more useful than to train someone than all the answers being freely available. Otherwise you stifled free thought and creativity while blotting out the possibility of there being more than one correct answer.

"Heh, sorry, I didn't mean to spring a surprise test on you. What do you say, should we try our luck at making meditation charms? It'll be a first for me."

Dagos returned the girl's smile and waved away her apology, it was after all his fault for startling her.

“I'm sure it's not so bad as all that.” he said in response to her comment about bad omens. “A pleasure to met you Nida,I'm Dagos.” he said with a short introductory bow.

“This is actually my first time here.” he answered.

Dagos did not catch her eye wander toward the boy who had taken a seat near them but that was due to the fact that Dagos himself took a moment to focus his concentration on the young man. Dagos did not look directly at the youngling but he did not have to. He could feel his presence, there was something off about him and something down right dark about his companion, it made the hair on his arm stand up straight.

“What is that thing?” he asked Nida making a motion toward the Vornskr.

[member="Nida Perl"] [member="Zen Phoenix"]

Nida’s nervous smile evened out upon learning that Dagos was also new to the Silver Jedi. He seemed to be fairly comfortable among them.

“A pleasure to meet you as well, Dagos. It’s good to know that not the only new one here.”

Her attention was drawn towards the boy and his pet. A slight frown tugged at her lips as she realized that she could not identify the little beast settled next to him. “I am not sure, to be honest.”

She paused, wondering what to do next. Nida wasn’t particularly good at approaching people. “Should we go and ask him, Dagos? Would that be rude...?”

I'd been perching in one of the wroshyr trees where I'd been able to overhear the conversation between a young Zeltron and a young man who'd Introduced himself as Dagos. They'd been chatting about another young man's pet which I'd noticed was a Vornskr.... I doubted any but other Knights or Masters would have noticed my presence on account of my use of Force Cloak.

Deciding to throw caution to the wind I hopped down behind the pair soundlessly and said "Wouldn't be a good idea younglings. That's a Vornskr and they have the ability to sense The Force and if it is that young man's pet it'd be better to approach him without his pet present. Vornskr's tend to be...territorial." Looking at the younglings I looked directly at the young Zeltron and said "By the way your level of concentration was impressive youngling. Not to worry I have several crystals that are much more difficult to shatter...My name is Celiana Drayven, Jedi Knight. Pleasure to meet you Dagos and Nida."

Reaching into one of the pouches on my belt I pulled out a variety of crystals. Ice blue, Aqua, Forest Green and Ocean Blue. I wasn't sure if either had constructed a saber yet but in my experience saber crystals were incredibly resilient and excellent for channeling Force energy through.
