New Dominion Suggestion

So I've been discussing with @[member="Siobhan Kerrigan"] and I have a new idea for our next Dominion.

Fighting Bando Gora is fine, but some variety is nice.

Is a pretty nondescript world, but it's in the right place for our ambitions.

I suggest a Dominion where we have to face a natural disaster rather than invading enemies or swarms of mooks. Something like an impending asteroid impact, a series of severe earthquakes or even a dying star means we have to step in and help evacuate the people or similar.

Thoughts?

Sounds cool to me. Perhaps it's a culmination of disasters. We can also add in some criminal scum to shoot (who try to steal our ships and stuff).

Some of our ships get wrecked and we have to race to get evacuated - and obviously there's total chaos because everyone wants off the planet.

Sounds like a good plot, but I would propose taking Saijo first to shorten the post count requested for Zonju, while it's something we could do without Saijo, it's much easier and more common for longer threads to stall out and pause due to inactivity rather than shorter ones.

Zonju is something we could get at any time, I would propose looking at Riflor, then Cerea, Triffis or Silken Asteroids first.

Saijo is a fortress worlds used by Darth Krayt, Riflor can become a forge world, and I talked to Siobh about it a while back, I had a cool plot that could be used, tying in the exodus of Riflor's natives and bringing them back, Cerea can provide researchers and scientists, Triffis and Silken Asteroids can provide strategic position.

And also what about Ceres? I created it for the Protectorate and it's what people would classify as a 'garden planet'

The non-aggression treaty with the Fringe established a buffer zone - Varunda IX, Riflor and Chalcedon, I think. So Riflor and Cerea are presently beyond our reach, alas.

But Saijo could be fun. What are your ideas for that?

Yes, what idea do you have for Saijo?

As it is, it's only one square more which equates to 25 more, a total of 150 posts I believe?

Well, Saijo was a fortress world of Darth Krayt as I said, supposedly the best-defended world in Outer Rims, with lush, green river valleys, not much is said about it besides that it had immigrated populations of Nagai and Tof, we could play an angle in which the planet has been tainted with Dark Side corruption of Darth Krayt, perhaps drawing the Bando Gora onto their planet to make use of one of the fortresses

We have been using the Bando Gora quite often...but maybe there's a Sith spirit or an dark artefact left behind from the time of Darth Krayt. Combine that with your darkside nexus idea and it could basically be corrupting the once green and lush planet into something predatory and twisted.

So we go on an artefact hunt! And fight the wildlife that has turned monstrous.

Awesome. She and Sio haven't met since Roche. Let's hope the artefact isn't the Daemon's Heart! That would be...bad.
