So what I have seen is we have a number of people already Signed up or are Interested so I have decided to come up with a rough organization of the Republic's Military Campaign upon the surface of SX192. If someone more experienced or more qualified wants to take over this, please speak up. Otherwise please reply or pm with your force, or any ideas/strategies you want.

First off there are Three Primary Objectives and we will need a reserve group in addition to groups moving against the objectives to fill in where we need it most. As for troop organization, lets start with a rough what style group you plan on running, Armored Spearhead, Mechanized Infantry Racers, Massed Infantry, Support, or Balanced, etc.

Next we need a primary commander, someone that knows military strategy, and is capable of assisting people in need of help directing their troops, using combinations of troops effectively, etc. I don't know enough people here yet to be able to know anyone to personally back, my apologies, no offense intended to anyone.

Third we need a combined force organization to allow different commanders to specialize and work in tandem with each other. Fast and Loud doesn't always work so we need versatility.

Fourth, understand the Factory will be an absolute bloodbath. If the Sith linger away from it, there is the possibility they use its capabilities to stall whoever assaults it by mass posting at other areas. Its what I would do if they go straight for it, (have every writer start posting like mad against the other two targets and let them deal with tons of new units every round). If they go straight for it, let em have it, we can wear them down using the NPC's against them.

Finally, we need to understand this is a game and will be awesome win or loose. I know it sounds corny, but I already have Ideas to use for survivors of my force should I get butchered. Loosing Fair is fun if you want it to be.

EDIT: We will need to have an OOC Thread within the Republic to assist us in coordination once the battle begins. That will be where people ask for help, declare intentions, and generally keep the rest of us informed on whats going on with each other.

Also as a side note. *Clears Throat*. Top this Fleet Folks.

EDIT: PM or Reply below if you don't like the Task Force I have you under. Its really easy to change out.

Here is a look at My Force Organization, and Here is a link to the Republic Armory to select from. If you know of stuff you can use that you like better, go for it.

I've got to say you've done a great job with this so far and you should be helping us run this mother.

Personally, I know ground combat, I know mechanized infantry, I know tactics. I would be most valuable as a coordinator there. OOC at least. If leadership disagrees on that front with Ali specifically, but still want me around, I will gladly take on another Character for the battle.

My posting style is specifically geared towards ground combat in a unique way. My posts are detailed, my attacks well explained, my reactions clear and obvious.
Enemies can't get passed me because I do a stellar job explaining myself. Half the time I can out think writers OOC, which helps me out play their Characters IC.

That being said, my posting style is slow. Not slow in the sense that you'll be waiting days for posts. But slow in the sense that I do not skimp on my posts with mass actions. I usually tell the story from two different points of view.

1) I switch between perspectives of characters throughout the battle that hold important or near important roles within it. Sometimes you get a post from the POV of a machine gunner, sometimes that of a General, a Sergent, etc. Together you get the whole pictures.

2) POV's of characters directly on the receiving end of an attack, or the front of initiating one. I don't often tell battles from the leadership's point of view because, well, the enemy won't be privy to those scenes IC anyways, and telling the battle from the POV of someone observing it just serves to confuse people reading.

Enemies get my tactics, attacks and defenses from the POV soldiers they're fighting: Always. That makes tracking damage and numbers and maneuvers SO much easier and allows me to clearly define to readers whether we're winning or losing.

Also, I do my research. I know the vehicles I use, their strengths and weaknesses, and I exploit the weaknesses of enemy tech. I take full advantage of the knowledge I have access to.

[member="Ali Hadrix"], What kind of political intrigue are we talking about? Who are we going against, the Sith, a rival faction?

I just quickly re-read the original post made when the thread was opened, which I know is not a good idea, but I have a busy day and wanted to get an idea where and what Karrie would be doing and was unable to ascertain who we are moving against.

It looks like One Sith/Fringe/ACA/Primeval are one coalition at least, with just about everyone else on our side in some way or another with varying degrees of tension. Red Ravens switched to use because of some feud with the OS because of some unknown reason. .

Although of course, alliances are subject to change. I would suggest we not do that and try instead to coordinate with our allies forces and split the OS/Fringe/ACA/Primeval forces so they can't coordinate.

If you can cause some turmoil in their upper echelons through politics that would affect the ground level military forces, that would be great.

I'll try and come up with my force structure tonight once this final is finished and turned in. Looks like we'll have three people commanding troops here, right?

[member="Sressechka"], You guys would probably fit in best on the Space portion of the fight here. Get in touch with them and go kill Sith and Confederate Hold Outs in space, wooo!

[member="Sressechka"] Well PM or reply if you want to help out with one of the Ground Task Forces. We have a plethora of spaces that need filled so just pick one and let me know.
