New here, not new to Star Wars RPG

Hi all. I found this forum today and it looks like it could be fun. Here's a little bit about myself.
I've been into Star Wars RPG since EP 3 came out. In the beginning my character was a Jedi but that quickly changed. Once the Sith got hold of her, there was no turning back. I've been on lots of Star Wars RPG forums with my character and I've enjoyed most of them. I'm ok with starting over with her if need be.
I'm excited to get started.

You can transfer characters over so long as you provide substantial evidence of their rank; either way the character themselves can be brought across, but if there's little to no evidence you'll remain at base rank (Apprentice)

Wow thank you everyone.
I noticed that I would have to provide my character's training, rank promotions, etc... unfortunately I can't do that because the other forum I'm a part of doesn't have those details on it. My characters training thread was on a forum that is now shut down. But like I said, I'm perfectly fine with starting over with her.

So I read a guide on here saying how to create a new character. I'm referring to this: http://starwarsrp.net/topic/1575-guide-how-to-create-a-new-character/
Do I have to do that for my character? Or is this just like all the other forums where you just post your character bio thread?

You do not necessarily have to make a new character as the guide is telling you to start your first character. When I started here in Chaos I didn't know of this feature and I just proceeded to create my first character with the "writer character" (below your avatar and mine there is a green rectangle that says Writer, that is your Writer character). When you create a new character the writer rectangle changes to a "Character" rectangle. Many writers create a new character (or alternate characters) when they want to be a bounty hunter instead of their Jedi character. So you can create as many characters as you want. @[member="Arluna Star"]
