PRODUCTION INFORMATION
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
  • Classification: Orbital City
  • Length: 21KM
  • Width: 21KM
  • Height: 80KM
  • Armament: None
  • Defenses: Extreme.
  • Hangar: New Hirona has enough space to houses thousands upon thousands of visitor transports and it has numerous places to dock with capital starships from the Sith Empire navy. The recent Star Dreadnoughts, the Behemoth and the Song of Truth, both have reserved spots outside of New Hirona with internal docking bays on the surface of the station exclusively maintained for refitting and refueling purposes. Advanced docking tubes allow for seamless transfer of goods and personnel from the star dreadnoughts to these docking bays.
  • Maneuverability Rating: Very Low
  • Speed Rating: Very Low
  • Hyperdrive Class: Average: 1
STANDARD FEATURES
New Hirona has all the standard features an orbital city of its scale and functionality should possess to be effective and efficient, among them are the following:

  • Standard sublight engines
  • Standard deflector shields
  • Standard repulsorlifts
  • Standard subspace and hyperspace communications
ADVANCED SYSTEMS
  • Artificial Intelligence. The entire station is regulated and maintained by a central processing unit at the core of the city. The AI has numerous junctions throughout the city that it can use to appear in holographic form; to answer possible questions, to get a better look at maintenance problems and to provide guidance where necessary.
  • Advanced Life Support. The orbital city has very advanced life support systems. This shows itself into multiple overlapping redundancy systems that ensure that even if one system fails, there are still numerous others that can be engaged. Life in space has the potential of being dangerous, after all. Every internal section has segregated bulk doors that can be sealed off remotely. Atmosphere can be shifted and changed to accommodate certain species- as a result there are numerous districts that cater to non-Mirialan populations and need specific conditions to survive and even thrive.
  • Defenses. Multiple overlapping shield systems, molecular shielding, heavy reinforced super-structure and internal security all adds up to New Hirona being exceptionally secure. This in response to the numerous existential threats the Mirialan people have suffered over the last decade and to provide them with a new safe place to live and thrive. Furthermore external defenses like point-defense lasers, flak launchers and similar defensive systems exist to downscale any threats against the new capital of Mirial.
  • Skyhook. New Hirona has a modular space elevator construction that allows direct contact with the surface of their planet, Mirial. The foundations of the elevator are located just outside their former capital, where the Sith Empire has enforced a safe zone with heavy perimeter checks against the undead threat that still persists outside of several major hold-outs on the world.
Strengths:
  • Vast: New Hirona is an absolutely massive space construct orbiting the planet of Mirial. After the undead overwhelmed the world and the incursion by the Silver Jedi Order destabilized the world further, the Sith Empire in cooperation with Fa Holdings began the construction of a place where the people of Mirial can live and thrive without the existential threat of the undead hovering over them. The orbital city has enough space for the remaining population of Mirials (after several genocides and other tragedies this is sadly far easier to imagine) and is currently experiencing a population boom as Mirial refugees flood back from other parts of the Galaxy to unite with their people. As war blazes through the Galaxy the Mirial government has opened New Hirona to refugees from other planets as thanks for the assistance their own people received and as a sign of solidarity with the victims of tragedies they have suffered themselves.
  • Bulwark: The station is a sign of renewed Mirial strength. Rather than be decked out with weaponry and other trump cards of military might, New Hirona underlines the Mirial's resolve to survive and remain strong on their own terms. Its shield systems are impressive as are the many point-defense lasers and other defensive weaponry that serve to defend the denizens of New Hirona rather than lash out in anger themselves.
  • Automation: The central administrative unit of New Hirona is integrated in every single system of the station and ensures that the orbital city is efficient and streamlined. Its main goals are to ensure that the denizens are safe, secure and happy in their new lives.
Weaknesses:
  • The bigger they are...: New Hirona is large and predominantly filled with civilians of a multitude of species. This makes it into a large target for those that want to hurt the Sith Empire. It can't move without the assistance of numerous tug ships, can't maneuver to get out of the way of enemy fire and it needs preparation before it can engage its hyperdrive systems.
  • Skyhook: While essential to maintain contact with the surface and encourage transfer of goods and trade the Skyhook presents a very real vulnerability. When the hook is engaged with the station, any damage to it can cause a networked-wide explosion that could reach the station itself. That doesn't even bring up what it could potentially do to the settlement on the surface of the world.
  • ...not bullets: New Hirona has no ability to launch any counter-attacks and neither has it got any squadrons within it as all the hangar bays are reserved for more important, non-military needs.
Description: Mirial has been through a decade of abuse, suffering and genocide at the hands of numerous governments and foreign entities. Its people scattered to the wind, its nation burning and fracturing under external pressure. The undead spread through the world and attempts to stabilize this were hurt by the incursion of the Silver Jedi Order sometime ago. Rather than attempt to clear the world as they had for the past year, the Sith Empire decided to shift their priorities.

With the input and assistance of the Mirialan people the Empire (in cooperation with Fa Holdings) began the construction of a new capital for its people. All its people. In orbit over Mirial it was named New Hirona (to celebrate the bravery of one of the Sith heroes, Tabigarashu Madara, who had risked their lives during the Jedi invasion) as a fresh start for the Mirialans. A gleaming shape of metal, secured, reinforced and massive in scale it would serve as a focal point for the abused people of Mirial.

As it was finished it became a major draw for the various diaspora of Mirialans across the Galaxy.

A sign that their culture, heritage and, indeed, their very identity was not dead yet. Many of them returned, united once more, as they settled New Hirona.

As new wars raged across the Galaxy the Mirialans even opened their new capital to the various refugees across the Galaxy. This as a sign that even with all that they had suffered, they would not embrace isolation and would not turn a blind-eye to the suffering they went through in others.

Now New Hirona serves as the capital of Mirial, a place of security, prosperity and safety above all.

But beneath it... Mirial still silently turns, many horrors remain and more growing by the day.
