We tried the Empire before (sup @Antera) but we're utterly unable to get any real support for it.

I would love a proper Imperial faction with complex internal (in the Council of Moffs) and external politics.

Imagine if you made 'Emperor' an elected position...

I would actually be very interested to see an Empire organized similarly to the Holy Roman Empire. Moffs run systems, Grand Moffs order Moffs around and form an advisory council to the Emperor, and whenever a new Emperor is needed, the Grand Moffs elect one of their number to the spot.

Oh absolutely. But they do tend to create conflict and war, and that's all Cyrus really cares about.

If the faction takes off though I may end up making a Moff/political type character for it though.
