New Techno Union Advertisment

We are The Techno Union
Business. Technology. Oligarchy.

Business
Business is at the core of the Techno Union faction. But this doesn’t mean, we’re all stuffed suits, VIP, spice-snorting, power players (well, some of us are). The Techno Union vehemently protects its interests with a powerful droid army augmented by mercenary companies, corporate navies, and specialist battalions provided by planetary governments. The Techno Union strives to wipe out terrorism, slavery, and mindless criminality as they appear- peacefully if possible, and by force if necessary. Bring your business into our network, and you will be fully protected by the Techno Union Security Force, provided you don’t break any of the system laws. You will have free reign to develop technology, access to a wide and varied company network and business partners with which to sign contracts.

If espionage is a part of your game, join up with Spynet, a Techno Union sub-faction for intelligence agents, infochants, slicers and spies. Stealing secrets and undermining the galaxy’s industry allows for healthy competition and can give your company an edge. Criminal organizations are small, hidden, and secretive. There are no slithering Hutts or flashy, casino-owning Crime Lords. Our agents sneak past the watchful eyes of policing Hegemonic Automaton droids, and occasionally slip into the Obsidian Order, the guardians of the Techno Union. Some of these criminals are your friends, your co-workers. And they are working to undermine the system.

The Obsidian Order
Just below the surface, beyond the employed masses, advanced technologies are open to everyone, and increases in the organic form through cybernetics are occurring at rapid rates. More and more people are finding that technology improves life, makes it easier and more entertaining.

The Obsidian Order is the Force sect of the TU. Masters of the Order seek to leverage technology in teaching and practice, not eschew it. And if there are blind spots, the Order swiftly covers them with advanced state-of-the-art armor, weaponry and artillery produced by the Union. Cyberpunks, engineers, mercenaries all thrive inside the Techno Union. Will you be the intersection of low-life and high tech? Mechanicals, androids, bucket of bolts: The Techno Union is a droid haven. From Astromech to protocol droid, whether you are a droid who has achieved sapience with a super-human AI and complex intelligence or a clunky, little, round thing that bleeps and bloops, there is a place for you. Find a master to take you along their journey, fight among the TU Army and Navy or run your own company. Organics need not apply.

Oligarchy
The Techno Union has always been a commerce guild, holding tight to the galaxy’s wealth with a golden fist. A powerful technobillity controls the richest worlds in the TU’s sphere of influence. Noble merchant characters thrive here: Kings, Queens, Dukes, Barons, Counts, Empresses. Their workers aren’t slaves – they prefer to call them ‘indentured servants.’ But even at the top of the tower, all is not as it seems. Power, prestige, titles – the oligarchs vie for these things. Rivalries will form and kingdoms may fall.
What makes it different and why should I join?

We have created a new playing field. While most factions are looking for you to be on one side, we are looking to blur the line within the faction, while remaining united to our business interests and willing to protect them at all costs. The Techno Union is looking for all types, from the corporate executives to the spacers looking for a quick buck, to slicers and hacktivists working to disrupt the status quo and make the companies think. Merchants, warriors, droids, expansionists, mercenaries and oligarchs… this is what the Techno Union is about.

Are you going to rule the galaxy through corporate dominance? Or allow the galaxy to rule you.

The choice is yours.

I reworked Corey's ad into something new that hopefully encapsulates our identity as well as entices players to join.

Any and all feedback is welcome - even edits. I also feel like that first picture could be better.

General:
  • Don't say "TU," just put in Techno Union. Sounds better.
  • Fiddle with those images in photoshop. Give them borders, make them uniform in size. Looks nicer.

augmented by respective armies and a TU Navy.
Replace with "augmented by mercenary companies, corporate navies, and specialist battalions provided by planetary governments."

Terrorism, blatant and mindless criminality and slavery are not welcome and the TU will attack to defend it.
Replace with: "The Techno Union strives to wipe out terrorism, slavery, and mindless criminality as they appear- peacefully if possible, and by force if necessary."

Techno Union welcomes what we like to call “healthy competition.” Stealing secrets and undermining the galaxy’s industry is all part of the game.

This may give off the wrong idea that the Executive Council is constantly at war with itself and the corporations that comprise it barely compromise willingly. If we still want to work with the intrigue/intelligence gathering niche, we should use the Spynet and give that its own header.

I'd also suggest replacing the "technology" header with one for the Obsidian Order.

I also don't know if the "droid" header is necessary. There are very few people who play droids on here, but we could try to start a Dreadguard-esque program, but with a specific type of robot instead of Force-dead clones.

Also just reduce the second to last heading to "Oligarchy" so it reads better.

Thanks for the suggestions! I will make those edits.

Also I don't have photoshop so maybe someone who does could help me with the images?

Or I could hide them in image spoilers.
