Ice quickly jumped on board the shuttle that had been sent to hime. "Get me back to my ship, quickly!" He said in an agitated tone. While enroute, Ice pulled up his comm. After ensuring it was on a secure military frequency, he sent out words to his men. "To all active military units. This is the Shadow Hand. Our capital world is presently in a state of quarantine. All air traffic has been grounded, and nobody is allowed out of the city."
"All we know for now, is that some experiment gone wrong has managed to get out of a lab somewhere. Unfortunately details on who did what, or where, are vague right now. It is not important anyway. What is important is shutting down this problem, before it becomes a disaster. What we can tell of the problem so far is something reminiscent of an old time horror holo. People are seemingly attacking others at random. But not with weapons. The attacks are being carried out with the attackers teeth. Biting, scratching. Some initial reports have some of these murders eating those they attack. That is not even the most disturbing part. After a victim has been attacked and killed, the bodies seem to reanimate somehow. They come back as one of the attackers and begin attacking others. All units are now authorized with shoot to kill orders against anyone exhibiting signs of being infected."
Ice then switched over to a secure channel to his commanders in the field. "Sirs. Police units have been notified to support military positions. I want a complete lockdown of the capital, effective immediately. Checkpoints at every exit. I'll not risk the entire planet. Once the perimeter is secure. I want large holding areas put in place for all the people trying to flee. Everyone is to be given a quick medical exam before being allowed in the holding areas. Anyone exhibiting signs of being infected by this experiment...or whatever it is that got out, are to be shot. If they are only just starting to show signs, pull them aside to a place out of view from the citizens and handle it quietly. As cheesy as it sounds. Head shots are required for all persons suspected of being infected. We'll see how similar to the old holos this situation really is. Any questions, comm me immediately."
Now on board his vessel, he ran to the bridge where he found Saki. "Thanks for the pick up." He said with an emotionless smile. "Ok, Saki. Here's what I want you to do. I want you to fly low over the ci---"
"SIR!!" Came the disturbed yell from his pilot. Ice immediately shot around to the viewport just in time to see a ship taking off from the star port. Defense laser guns began firing after it. But it was managing to dodge most the rounds in its attempt to escape. "Saki...." He said grimly, not even looking at her. "Shoot that ship down." His eyes never left the fleeing ship. He knew he could rely on her to carry out his orders. So far the bounty hunter turned ship captain had done a fantastic job.
