Ionization: Built with an ionization field that can be enabled or disabled by gun crews. This ability may allow the driver’s shell to make contact with enemy hulls.
Range: While the shells are capable of reaching long-range, they are not as effective as they would be at standard or close range.
A smaller shell, but a familiar concept the Nike follows the Atalanta and Bellona but without the Siaber Power Generator. Under the guidance of the new Chief of Operations, Ryssa Yvarro - Primo Victorian technology begins to move away from Aurora Industries’ influence. The Nike features both the energy crystal and the boreas crystal. An energy crystal power generator with a boreas crystal heatsink and cooling unit to keep the weapon performing without the worry of overheating.
The two components allow the weapon to hit as hard as it would with the Siaber Power Generator but without fear of the crystal becoming unstable. Additionally, drawing heat away from the mass driver’s critical components allows it to increase its duration of sustained firing producing a more effective damage output. Designed for close/short and standard combat, the Nike while capable of firing at long range is not nearly as effective as it is in the shorter ranges.
Much like her big sisters, the Nike comes with a built-in ionization field that can be enabled or disabled by gun crews. She also features a 250° traverse with an elevation of up to 110°. The mass driver can also be fire-linked seated on fast track mountings. Her quad barrel design gives her as much stopping power as the older models and may prove lethal to her opponents.
