Tyron stopped in his tracks before engaging with anyone else from the New Jedi Order upon New Cov and his attention was drawn towards the Miralukan Jedi. He glanced down to engage with Aadihr who spoke to him that wasn't a Jedi belonging to the High Council. A sigh of relief escaped from the Besalisk as he bucked up the courage to get over the nerves he had since there is nobody that Tyron would know of. Besides Valery Noble, the Jedi Grandmaster, she welcomed him upon the Jedi Temple on Coruscant.

"Hmm? Oh yes. It is nice to see this Master." Tyron said to Aadihr while they were making conversation between each other. "It's my first time being here and well.. I've only recently came to the Jedi Order master." The Besalisk said to the Miralukan male.

Trees! How Everest had so yearned to be in nature again. Coruscant living was tough, no doubt about it. That eerie endless hue of artificial light, the smog, the noise. It was starting to give Eve a perpetual headache, and that was just on the good days. It was of absolute no surprise that when invited to come to New Cov to attend the knighthood of one of Master Noble's students, she jumped at the chance.

The excess shrubbery and towering trees were of course not the only motivation. This was a monumental moment for any Jedi. Eve recognised this already, despite her short time within the Order, and she watched with a soft excitement as her new Master recited the words and performed the motions of ceremony with Colette Colette , marking the end of her studentship and the beginning of her knighthood.

She looked on with youthful glee, fused with a deep respect. Knight Colette had completed a journey Eve knew she was only just beginning, and the two stood on polar opposites of that same path, both under the guidance of Master Valery Noble Valery Noble . A soft, silent smile spread across her as Master Noble completed the rite, and she clapped excitedly with the crowd, a tiny woop escaping her. She so hoped to meet the new Knight before long face-to-face and learn all about her.

But her eyes suddenly slinked beyond the crowd towards one particularly large and beautiful tree. She was going to climb the heck out of that later. Good heavens she loved trees.

Aadihr let out a small laugh, taking the misunderstanding as a compliment.

I really am starting to sound like an old geezer. He thought to himself.

"Oh, I'm no master, just a knight. Just Aadihr is fine, pleased to meet you."
Aadihr extended his hand in greeting to the four-armed newcomer, getting a closer look at the ripples and hues of his aura in the force.

Aadihr suspected the Besalisk was a Padawan, or very young for a knight - the assumption and defaulting to deference led Aadihr to believe the former.

"In that case, you've picked a bright time to join the Order. Welcome to the order! One day you'll be the one up the stage with the braid being removed."
Aadihr spoke, intending to encourage the Besalisk, who's aura still seemed a bit nervous.

Azzie stood at the outer edges of the gathering, her eyes fixed on the ceremony unfolding before her. The air was thick with reverence, the sounds of the jungle mingling with the soft hum of the moment. She had never witnessed anything like this before, and despite the solemnity of that fact, her heart raced with excitement. A formal knighting ceremony—the kind that had eluded her for so long—was happening right in front of her.

Her training began during the chaos of the first rebellion, when the Jedi Order was scattered, its future uncertain. She’d never had the privilege of witnessing such a moment before—at least not like this. She had only met Colette a few times, but it didn’t matter. Her excitement for the other practically radiated off of her in waves. But a flicker of something else stirred inside her, a longing she hadn’t actually allowed herself to entertain.

One day, it will be me standing there, Azzie thought, her hands gripping the talisman around her neck.

Maybe, just maybe, she would find herself standing alongside Valery Noble Valery Noble on the council, sharing in the weight of the galaxy’s future. She couldn’t help but dream. Today wasn’t that day, though, and she couldn’t allow herself to dwell on it too long. She had to focus on the moment—the profound significance of Colette’s achievement.

Her gaze swept over the gathered Jedi, their auras shimmering like ripples in the Force. Among them, Aadihr Lidos Aadihr Lidos 's presence stood out—a steady light, warm yet tinged with a quiet intensity that always drew her attention. She felt it more keenly than the others, if only by a bit, and that realization sent a small flicker of worry through her chest along with the other emotions. Shaking her head, Azzie chose to push the thought aside, unwilling to fully let it settle right now.

"By the right of the council, by the will of the Force, I dub thee Knight of the New Jedi Order."

After Valery had finished, Azzie clapped until her palms stung, her cheers loud and unapologetic, cutting through the serene hum of the jungle, "Hell yeah! You go, girl!" Her amethyst eyes shone brightly, a grin splitting her face as she raised her fist in celebration. Watching Colette’s smile, radiant and humble, only fueled Azzie’s excitement. It was as if the Force itself had wrapped around the moment, binding everyone together in shared joy and hope.

Events like these were not to Orion's taste. Another knighthood, another day. The only reason he attended these ceremonies or any other was due to the fact he needed to provide security, but with several dozen Jedi in attendance, the necessity of providing any protection seemed almost null. The lack of good food also dimmed his interest in the event. The only reason he attended was due to the simple fact that a very specific name was involved in the ceremony.

Colette Colette . An ex-flame of his cousin's ( Shan Pavond Shan Pavond ).

Honestly, he was here to sate a curiosity he held since receiving the news of a particular relationship between the pair. What Orion wished to glean here is what had happened between the two without actually speaking to the two. He would read their respective body language and move on from the scene.

Colette did not know him and he saw no need for her to know him quite yet, and, as for Shan, it was better if Orion's cousin did not see him at this event. The two of them were too much the same and too different at the same time. There was a certain feeling of shame that came from Orion every time he saw Shan. Orion tapped his nose in thought before turning away, walking further away and along the periphery of the crowd assembled.

And here he spotted a particular mane of vibrant red hair ( Katherine Holt Katherine Holt ). One that stood much taller than when he had last seen her. A smile grew on his face, washing away the feelings of self-doubt hidden underneath that green exterior. As the clapping of the crowd died down, Orion stepped around and through the various Jedi before introducing himself with a small wave.

"Hey, Skywalker," Orion grinned as he tilted his head playfully, sparing a glance at the valkyrie's new and improved wings, "You still owe me that dance, by the way."

A little introductory humor always helped break the ice. Especially since it had been so long since their initial meeting. And, by the looks of things, a lot had happened since then.

@everyone in this thread

A thousand steps and a thousand more.
This was another step like the ones before.
And yet for tonight,
She felt stage fright.
Colette was not a Padawan anymore.

The smell of burnt hair pierced her nostrils, a gentle sense of ease washed over her shoulders over a braid she not only had felt opposed to at first but that eventually just sort of was there. Like a lame extra limb that was simply a part of her.

As she stood up again and gave her master and/or mother a happy little nod she was struck by surprise at the amount of people in this place. She supposed not all of them were truly here for her as much as the occasion itself. Tradition dictated it, boredom enabled it, well-wishing encouraged it.

Shan was hopefully here for her, or so she hoped at least. He hadn't really spoken to her since coming back and at this point she wasn't sure if it was because of bad feelings, and if that was the case it was probably best to just let him be.

There were also some other familiar faces, of course, some even outright familial. Vera, Loomi, Braze, Zaiya. Cora… No? She was probably just late, she was sure to show up. Right?

Others she had a passing familiarity with that came from being in the same general area at times. Vanagor, Katarine, Aadihr and Azurine, Diogo, Roman, Jack, and Eve.

And… Someone who looked like Shan? Not as cute, but… Taller? And blonde. Her eyes couldn't help but wander between the black-maned stallion and the less impressive, blonde specimen with a happy grin. They were related, and she picked the good one.

And that grin only grew wider at Azzie's "You go girl!"

Colette raised her hand with a small laugh and a gentle wave of her hand. Was this when she held a speech? She didn't exactly feel like it. People had to know by now that Colette wasn't one to use words unless she had to.

"Uh…. Thanks." She said and rubbed at the back of her neck.

TAG: Colette Colette

Jonyna had never had the chance to learn much about Valery's various padawans. Colette had always been on her periphery, there, but never in the same circles as the Cathar. It was strange, considering how much they were alike. Tribals who grew up on planets many deemed 'unimportant'.

Jonyna didn't have much to say, as a result. She was there for ceremony, not personal attachment. Jonyna could practically feel Giran on her back, lecturing her about how that was good, and how personal attachment was contradictory to the Jedi Way, but she always thought that was stupid.

The Light shines on those who do good, not those who lock their hearts away.

And the light had shone on this one.

"Oh, I see how it is," she quipped, crossing her arms and smirking. "It's not going to take long before I tower over you. I'll remember this~"

"We'll see... you think you're gonna end up a gigantic freak of nature like your dad and your brother Aris?"

"But hey, at least the green's working for you. Makes it easier to spot you in a crowd."

Diogo smirked. "I'll take that as a compliment."

"Yeah, I've got a whole squad of younger siblings," she said, ticking them off on her fingers. "The triplets — Aeryn, Adam and Aurra — then there's Eryx, and the baby of the bunch, Yvaine. It's a big family."

"Damn that's a lot of siblings," he chuckled. "Which one is your fav?"

Diogo wondered if she ever got peace and quiet. He had spent a lot of time in the Outer Rim, traveling amongst the stars, chillin' just outside the hyperlanes. Space could be pretty damn quiet in the confines of a ship, except when his annoying bunkmate blasted the most ear-shattering wreckpunk in the galaxy. He almost shoved that son of a blaster out the airlock. But at least there weren't a bunch of kids runnin' around.

"What about you? Big family? Or are you flying solo and making new friends with that sarcasm of yours?"

"Heh. Nah, I just gots a mom. She lives on Niamos. I guess I've been tryna make friends, but it ain't easy. Probably doesn't help that I've been hanging with Eloise a lot recently and she has a... particular reputation around the Order."

Vera blinked at Diogo's words, her eyes widening slightly before she let out a small, sheepish laugh. "Freaks of nature, huh?" she echoed, shaking her head. "Well, I'm doing my best, but I'm pretty different. Mom, Dad, and Aris are real fighters. They've got that edge, y'know? I'm more of a Jedi Seer. I see the future, read patterns in the Force… not exactly the type to charge into a battlefield swinging a lightsaber."

Her smile softened as she continued, her tone lighter. "As for favorites, I don't really have one. I probably spend the most time with Aris, though. We're the same age, so it's easy to do things together. He's got my back, and I've got his, but…" Vera's grin turned mischievous. "He can be really annoying sometimes."

When Diogo mentioned Eloise Dinn Eloise Dinn , Vera's brow arched slightly. "Eloise?" she repeated, thinking back to her spar with the other Jedi. Her lips tugged into a faint smile, a mixture of amusement and reflection. "I sparred with her a few years ago. Let's just say we… traded some words." Vera chuckled softly. "But I liked it. She's fiery, and she doesn't hold back. Keeps you on your toes."

She tilted her head, her expression becoming more thoughtful. "Eloise just always seems angry, though. Like she's got this chip on her shoulder and spends all her time blaming others for stuff. But honestly? I don't think she's a bad person. Deep down, I think she's just missing something. Something that could help her feel… I don't know, whole? Happy?"

"She has one of the best Masters in the Order, yet she still seems to hate the Order. If Amani can't help her find her place in the Order, I wonder who can."
Vera shrugged, her grin returning with a playful glint in her eye. "But you like spending time with her, huh? I hope you're at least less angry about everybody around you."

"Excuse me, Sir- would you perhaps-"

Cora whispered to the towering Wookiee who'd unknowingly moved in front of her during the ceremony, effectively cutting off her view of Colette Colette and Valery Noble Valery Noble . She had to stand on her toes in order to tap his broad shoulder.

The hairy Jedi turned with a low, apologetic growl. He rubbed his head sheepishly, stepping to the side and gesturing for her to move forward with one long arm.

"Thank you," she said softly.

She'd missed the actual moment where Valery's saber drifted over Colette's shoulder and sheared her Padawan braid. Oh well.

As opposite as the two were, they were close. Which was why Cora felt no hesitation in striding forward and pulling Colette into an embrace. That it was brief did not lessen the fact that it was heartfelt.

"You've earned this," she said with a smile. "You'll make us proud, I know it."

CONVERSATION: AADIHR LIDOS

Tyron felt a bit guilty as he had mistaken the young Jedi Knight for a Master, an elder. When he heard Aadihr's voice and seeing him close-up as they entered a conversation with each other. Way ago Tyron better apologise to him at least. The Besalisk Jedi student bucked up the courage and decency to say his apology to Aadihr.

"S-sorry I didn't mean to assume. I'm Tyron, it's nice to meet you too Aadihr." Tyron reached out with his arm and gently grips his own hand onto Aadihr's as they shook hands to greet one another. The Besalisk's aura and energy in the Force was uncontrolled and wild. It'd be common and understanding due to Tyron not yet fully trained as a Jedi.

Tyron was thinking that Aadihr was a Scholar perhaps and felt the Force was strong in the Miralukan he was interacting with. His nerves began to fade and settle now that he broke his own silence of shying away from others.

"Heh thank you, Aadihr. I've joined at the right time have I? Hmm. Ahah I'm not one for crowds. Someday yeah I'll be a Jedi Knight like many others before me." Tyron replied as it seemed the words of encouragement from Aadihr was helping the young Besalisk Jedi Padawan Learner be at ease on New Cov.

Her smile softened as she continued, her tone lighter. "As for favorites, I don't really have one. I probably spend the most time with Aris, though. "Oh, so COLETTE isn't your favorite?" he said a little louder. Colette was probably busy being congratulated, but maybe she overheard. His voice softened. "Heh, I bet Aris says the same about you."

"Eloise?" she repeated, thinking back to her spar with the other Jedi. Her lips tugged into a faint smile, a mixture of amusement and reflection. "I sparred with her a few years ago. "Did she kick your ass?" Diogo assumed so, but then again Vera seemed to have a mischievous ingenuity, which was probably devilishly useful in a spar.

"Very perceptive of you. It's not my place to share, but she's been through a lot. More than half these clowns who judge her," Diogo said scathingly. His protective edge with regards to Eloise bubbled to the surface. "But you sound like one of the good ones. Everyone else needs to cut her some fethin' slack."

"I hope you're at least less angry about everybody around you."

"Nah, she's got enough anger for the both of us," Diogo grinned. Facts were facts. "Y'know, you're not so bad, Vera. Kinda cooler than your mom."

Kahlil was, as ever during these events, quietly watching. There was an important part of this he needed to stay in the background for. This wasn't about the council, this wasn't about him being a father, this was about Colette. About her training as a Padawan being complete. About how much she'd grown from the girl Valery had first taken as a Padawan and then as a daughter.

In truth, he wasn't sure how he felt about taking a student on as their child. It blurred a line the Jedi sought to keep separate to keep both master and student safe. The Jedi of old, anyway. The New Jedi Order was a completely different organization. There was no doubt in his mind that Colette was his daughter. Their eldest, now a Knight.

He stood in the back, smiling proudly and totally not because if he opened his mouth to say something he might even end up with a tear in his eye.

7a91fDm.png

Katherine smiled, letting out a small laugh as she watched Colette turn and address the audience. Normally tradition would have dictated that the newly anointed Knight would make a speech, but she knew that just wasn’t Colette’s thing.

Nor was being the center of attention before a crowd. But then again, it would’ve been odd for the Jedi in question to miss her own ceremony.

The Padawan looked around, catching a few more familiar faces amongst the crowd. One in particular was Shan Pavond Shan Pavond . Last time Katherine had seen him, she’d pretty much laid out everything that had happened to her during his absence from the Order. It brought a smile to her face to see he was sticking around.

She caught sight of her Master, standing towards the back watching the ceremony. Even from here, Katherine could see how proud Kahlil was of Colette. For a few moments, the redhead was reminded of her own padawan braid. However, that line of thought was interrupted by a familiar presence and voice calling out to a ‘Skywalker’.

There’s only one person I know who calls me that.

Katherine glanced over, immediately recognizing the mop of blond hair. She rolled her eyes as Orion approached, but smiled all the same as Mirialan stood before her.

Orion,” Katherine replied, looking down at him. The fact she had to do that was still a weird feeling. More so given she had at least a foot in height difference now. A complete contrast to how she had been when they last met. “I mean that’s fair, I can’t imagine I was much of a good dance partner then.

Between being confined to a hoverchair, and somewhat tipsy at the time.

How ya been? Not gotten into too much trouble?

Vera tilted her head slightly at Diogo's question, her multicolored eyes flickering with a mix of thought and sheepishness. "Seen anything cool?" she echoed, a small, bittersweet smile forming. "Most of the things I see aren't exactly... fun. It's usually people in trouble, hurt, or worse. Stuff that I need to help stop before it happens." She shrugged lightly, her smile softening.

When Diogo asked if Eloise had kicked her ass, Vera snickered and leaned back slightly, arms crossed. "Oh, totally. I was, like, thirteen, and she was way older and way better at fighting. I didn't stand much of a chance," she admitted with a laugh. "But I learned a lot, and I even got a hit in on her. So, I'll call that a win in my book."

As Diogo spoke about people judging Eloise, Vera's expression grew more skeptical. She tilted her head and narrowed her eyes slightly. "Who's really judging her, though?" she asked, her voice curious but doubtful. "My mom and dad haven't. The Council hasn't. She's not even on their radar. So, what? It's other Padawans? She's kind of mean to a lot of people, so of course some will judge her for that." She paused and shrugged.

"Honestly, Eloise pushes people away, and when you do that... it's hard for anyone to really want to get to know her." Vera paused, her voice softening. "If anything, I think she's the one judging herself too harshly. And maybe others, too."

She sighed and looked thoughtful for a moment before continuing. "She needs to open up more to her Master. Amani is amazing, and I know she'd do anything to help her if she let her."

When Diogo called her cooler than her mom, Vera's grin returned in full force, and her eyes sparkled with playful mischief. "Well, thank you," she said, her voice dripping with mock grandeur. "I'll be sure to let my mom know you said that. She'll be thrilled." Vera smirked, clearly joking.

"Seen anything cool?" she echoed, a small, bittersweet smile forming. "Most of the things I see aren't exactly... fun. It's usually people in trouble, hurt, or worse. Stuff that I need to help stop before it happens."

"Oh, that sucks. Sounds like a heavy burden."

Vera shared her outlook on Eloise. There was definitely truth in what she was saying, but it wasn't that simple.

"I'll be real with you, pipsqueak. You were lucky to be born a Noble. Your heart is in the right place, but you don't know half the shit she's been through."

Hell, Diogo didn't even know. What he did know was terrifying enough. That kinda trauma never left you, like broken bones that never healed right.

But El and Vera weren't so different. Both had expectations thrust upon them at a young age. They were both practically royalty in all but name (Noble surname notwithstanding). Yeah, they had shared struggles. However, where they were different really mattered. Bridges almost impossible to gap. For instance, as far as Diogo knew, Val and Khalil never ate people.

"Well, thank you," she said, her voice dripping with mock grandeur. "I'll be sure to let my mom know you said that. She'll be thrilled." Vera smirked, clearly joking.

"I mean it, but maybe don't mention that to her. Next time I go berserk and try to kill her, she might not hold back," he said without elaborating. Let her stew on that one.

"Anyway," he shrugged. "I shouldn't keep you if you want to go congratulate your big sis."

Vera's multicolored eyes flickered with something sharper, a brief flash of something more personal as Diogo spoke. She crossed her arms, her weight shifting slightly as she leveled a look at him. "Everybody's been through shit," she said plainly, her voice steady but laced with something heavier beneath the surface. "I had my father die when I was four years old. I spent years seeing visions of his death over and over again — until one vision showed me that he was actually still alive, trapped in some weird Force dimension."

Her lips pressed together for a second before she let out a small, humorless chuckle. "That's also fucked up. But I don't go around projecting my emotions onto others like she does." There was no malice in her tone, just a quiet, stubborn truth. She knew Eloise had her struggles, but life didn't give people a pass for lashing out at everyone around them.

Diogo's next comment, however, broke through the serious moment, and Vera's smirk returned in full force. "Oh, you're afraid of my mom now, huh?" she teased, her eyes glinting with mischief. "I mean, yeah, you should be. I'd be scared too if I went berserk and tried to kill her." She tilted her head, letting the joke hang in the air for a beat before flashing him a grin. "But don't worry, I won't tell her. I wouldn't want her to start expecting you to behave."

She took a step back, her gaze flicking over toward Colette, who was still wrapped up in the celebrations. Vera smiled softly, her teasing demeanor softening just a little. "Thanks, Diogo. It was nice meeting you," she said, her voice carrying something genuine before she turned and took off toward her big sister.

The moment she reached Colette Colette , she didn't hesitate. Vera threw her arms around her, pulling her into a big, warm hug, her face pressing against her shoulder. "I'm so happy for youuuu!" she murmured with a grin, holding on tight.

"Cora!" Colette shrieked with excitement and wrapped her arms around her friend with a bear hug. "There you are."

Gods, it felt good to just use this blonde brat as a rock on this stage of newfound expectations. Of course Colette was ready, but that didn't mean that her emotions wouldn't play with her in the moment of her knighting.

She let in a deep breath and let the hug linger for a moment longer before she let go.

"Thank you. I—"

And then, Vera entered the stage. Colete oof'd as her sister wrapped her arms around her.

"Thank you, Vera. I… Don't really know what to do."

Vera held on a moment longer, squeezing her big sister tightly before finally pulling back just enough to meet her eyes. The grin on her face was wide and full of pride, but there was a teasing glint there, too — the kind only a little sister could manage.

"Don't worry, Knight Noble," Vera drawled, her voice playful, stretching the title out as if tasting how it sounded. "You'll figure it out. Pretty sure they don't just hand out fancy new titles for nothing."

She smirked, giving Colette a light nudge before crossing her arms over her chest. "So, what's next for you?" she asked, tilting her head with curiosity. "Are you gonna pick up a Padawan? Or maybe help lead something in the Order?" There was no doubt in Vera's mind that Colette could handle either, but she wanted to hear it straight from her sister.

Besides, now that she was officially a Knight, the possibilities were endless — and Vera couldn't wait to see what Colette did with them.

It was time for the first friend that Lily had made when she joined the Order to become a Jedi Knight. It was strange to think that they had started the Order around the same time and now Colette was becoming a Knight. In fact there was a lot with Colette that had drastically changed during that time, she had dated another of their friends, become part of the Noble's ever growing family and had been steadily becoming stronger in the Jedi Order. She was curious how her friend was doing since the promotion to Knight seemed like a daunting one for Lily. She knew there would be opportunities for her within the Shiraya Order, where she was now based. But an open future seemed crazy to Lily.

Directionless in a way that she was not ready for.

Looking around, there were plenty here to celebrate her friend's promotion to Knight which was exciting to see. She was always glad when plenty of people turned up and helped to celebrate a new Knight joining the Order. It was a time for big celebration and Lily was curious how things would be done on Naboo, now that was where Lily was living. Something to poke her Master about once she returned to Naboo. For now, she was here to celebrate Colette's achievement and making sure to make the most out of it.

Walking up to Colette, she spotted Vera, who was becoming her own woman since the last time they had met, as well as Corazona. She gave all three a smile and short bow. "Wanted to congratulate you Colette on this brilliant achievement! You've come so far since we first met and look forward to seeing what Jedi Knight you will be." Lily gave a wide grin.
