The redhead chuckled at Azzie’s description of just how happy she was. Katherine couldn’t help but imagine a scene of some poor Jedi Master getting absolutely startled by the level of happiness the Iridonian was displaying.
Katherine was all smiles as Azurine looked at her. “
I feel great, like legit feels like a new breath of life was straight injected into me.” And in a way that was true, though it was more just fixing the pieces that had been broken before, and left as such for so long. Soul and body, finally mended as they were meant to be.
Not what others had tried to force her into being.
“
Wait, what? Y-you have something for me?” Katherine asked, blinking a little owlishly as her friend reached down for something attached to her belt. She carefully took the offered box, pulling the ribbon loose so she could open it. “
Oh wow.” The redhead delicately grabbed the necklace, examining it. She could tell there was something special about the centerpiece bead, but it was something she could investigate later.
“
Thank you Azzie, I will treasure it.” She replied, not hesitating to disconnect the connecting parts and securing the necklace around her neck. “
You’ll be in my place soon enough.” Katherine smiled, again for the third time trying her damndest to not let the tears flow. She pulled Azzie into one last hug.
“
We definitely need to hang out again sometime, now that I’m back on my feet.” Things had always been limited given her previous physical limitations. But now? Sky’s the limit as they say, quite literally in Katherine’s case. “
For now, please excuse me. I spotted a particular Greenbean I am long overdue giving a hug to.” With one last warm hug/squeeze, the redhead parted ways and began moving through the crowd. She exchanged more pleasantries and thank you’s as she passed.
At one point she caught sight of
Vera Noble
, chatting away with what appeared to be two other Padawans.
Kaelos Vryn
who she’d only just met in passing minutes ago, and
Anavi Vandala , a fellow redhead who she was unfamiliar with. But just seeing the trio of them chatting away brought a smile to Katherine’s face. Knowing that one day each of them would find themselves in the same place some day in the future.
That, and it reminded the redhead she would need to be looking for a Padawan or two in the near future. But for the time being, she put that thought aside.
As Katherine continued walking, heading towards where she had last seen Shan, a different Pavond entered her thoughts. She looked around while moving, searching for the familiar bob of blonde hair that seemed almost a trademark of
Orion Pavond
. But try as she might, she couldn’t see him anywhere, even despite her newly acquired height. A pang of sadness settled in her chest, wondering if he had decided to not attend, until at the last moment he seemed to appear in view.
I swear if he somehow timed that…
Nonetheless, it brought a smile to Katherine’s face, who returned his small gesture with a nod of her head.
Once she finally combed through enough of the crowd, the redhead caught sight of her original target, sequestered away at the back. “
Come here you!” Katherine’s smile was bright as she practically strode over to
Shan
and pulled him into a big bear hug. “
Sorry for the surprise, I had intended on messaging you once everything was done, but things got a tad crazy afterwards.”
