Silver Star

The moment was intense, Eve couldn't ignore it. A stillness settled at last as the Knight began to calm. The way Azzie embraced him so readily, no holding back, and spoke to him with such delicacy, told Eve everything she needed to know about the two's dynamic. Azzie turned to her in thanks. Her voice was warm with an earnest gratitude, but clearly tinged with a relief and exhaustion from the moments just passed, but the expression on her face alone would have told her everything. The escalation seemed to melt back to calm as quickly as it had initially risen.
Eve nodded to Azzie, the manner on her own face acknowledging how serious the moment was. She had done her part, although bringing out that lullaby had caused a tinge in her own heart somewhere, tugging at a distant memory she had buried deep, back into the edges of her awareness once more. In the corners of her mind, a black and white flash of her father's face rested quietly in waiting for her, but she knew she wasn't quite ready to think about that, and pushed it from her mind. There were more important things at stake right now.
Through the Force, Eve sent the warmth of a soft smile to Aadihr, hoping that that would be enough from her for now, and stepped away from them both. She turned, looking out to the forests beyond. Maybe she would go on a trek soon to clear her head. Maybe it would serve as a distraction from the memories she couldn't quite face yet.
