Reina had stayed quiet for the entire discussion. Coruscant hadn't been her home for a long time and she had learned pretty young that where you were wasn't important. It was who you were with. So if the Jedi decided to settle on Tython, that's where Reina would move her stuff. It might help her to get a better connection to the Spirit herself. Even if she would prefer that they settled on a more aquatic planet, Tython was going to be good enough for her. There was a lot being debated that she couldn't fully understand her yet, such as the discussion about the Warden but her mind fixated on the idea of helping to heal the Moon...but could she even heal something in the first place?
"If there is a calling for healing... then I want to answer."

Her eyes darted over towards Everest at that. There had been plenty of other people who had volunteered for the mission but Everest was the one who believed in who Reina could be. So after an extended period of hesitation, Reina raised her hand nervously. In a way it was amusing for Reina. She was stubborn, headstrong but right now she was never more terrified in her life. She wanted to prove to herself tha she belonged here and that she couldn't just fight. She could also heal. Even if she had no clue how to do it.

"I'd like to volunteer for Ashla as well...if that's okay I mean."

With that, Reina lowered her hand back down to her side. Why did this have to feel so difficult? Reina just wanted to blur into the group of Jedi. It felt strange to her to just be offering to help. She just wanted to jump straight into it and do it. No fancy volunteering. She just had to focus on how much of a learning experience it could be for her though. She had already told Valery how she wanted to learn how to heal through Darkness. And this was one of the first steps she could take for that lesson.

Valery's gaze swept the chamber once more as voices quieted in the wake of the volunteers stepping forward. She nodded with solemn appreciation, then turned to address the inquiries — and make her decisions.

"Thank you, Master Raene, for the clarity in your question," she began, her voice steady and clear. "The position of Warden is, as you said, one that carries weight — and expectations. To clarify, the Warden of Tython will not sit on the Council, nor serve as an administrator of doctrine. Their role is to protect the Temple grounds and surrounding lands, ensure the safety of our people, and mediate day-to-day disputes that do not require Council intervention. They are the Temple's shield, not its voice."

Her eyes moved to the two who had stepped forward for the role.

"For the role of Warden, I'll give the Order a chance to express interest beyond this meeting." She looked at the two who had already expressed interest and offered them an appreciative smile.

"As for the healing of Ashla — it is good to see so many of you step forward. This effort will not fall on one set of shoulders alone, but it does need a guiding hand. Master Corazona von Ascania Corazona von Ascania , as a member of the Council, I'm asking you to lead this initiative. Coordinate with those who've volunteered and bring balance back to what was lost on the moon."

Her attention moved then to Shan, and her expression shifted just slightly into something lighter, respectful but direct.

"Shan, you've offered your skills in rebuilding — thank you. I ask that you reach out to Master Si, who has already begun work on the architectural side of the Temple's reconstruction. There's more needed than just a hall of meditation. We'll need landing zones, training courtyards, gardens for reflection — everything that makes the Temple and it surroundings ready. Help us shape it."

And finally, Valery turned to face Nulgath Zardai Nulgath Zardai fully before he'd be moved away.

"Your words were heard. And I do not dismiss them lightly. You are right — Tython is not merely a place of origin. It is a Force nexus, a living memory. That's precisely why we've already sent Jedi to cleanse the land and unearth the dangers that remain. That work is far from finished — and it will continue."

She took a step back, allowing her eyes to meet those seated before her.

"Now… before we continue to the next topic — are there further questions?"

He was late, as usual. Judah rarely seemed to arrive on time for these kind of meetings. It served two purposes. First, it drew attention to the fact he was still active among the New Jedi Order when it suited him to be. Second, it made him seem ill suited for leadership of any kind. The last thing Judah wanted was to find himself in charge of anything. Maybe he would have aspired to such things when he was younger, but the older master now found himself wishing to remain in the background.

His duels with Srina Talon, the Sith Empress did not keep him there.

Judah listened to the discussion which ensued about relocating their home once again. The idea barely elicited a shrug from the shadow. He did not care. His path kept him on the move, and where the Jedi based from did not matter to him, nor did it impact his ability to serve the force or galaxy as a whole.

Simply put, nothing changed for him. His home was on Corellia.

It was not long before the conversation moved toward the logistics of what needed to be done. As a Shadow it would make sense for Judah to work with whatever team was going to help contain the darkness which the Dark Empire’s dark side order had used to pollute the moon and planet. He smiled, thinking about the last time he was in a meeting like this one. It had gotten him in trouble.

He could say something, but opted not to for the moment. His gaze simply caught Valery Noble Valery Noble in the eyes for a moment. She would be happy to see he had finally come out of his hiding in his home on Corellia.

The big man just nodded at the resolution. He gave her a “finger wave” in the hopes that she would pick up on the fact that they needed to talk, even if only short about a related matter. If she did not it was fine, it would be more to let her know what he had with him and what he had planned to do. When he turned around to stand next to his son, but not before clapping Judah Lesan Judah Lesan on the shoulder, Connel quipped. I’m surprised.

Caltin half-shrugged. I’m not.

Connel then laughed. Didn’t expect you to be bitter.

Caltin just sort of glared. You know that I’m not.

Okay, let’s pretend the people viewing at home don’t know what I know… tell me why… WHOAH! Did he just break the fourth wall? Connel just looked off in a direction with a look as if to ask “Are you kidding me?”

I have myself to think about, she has the entire Order. Before you bring it up, I know that you and I fought our tails off working to get Tython out of the hands of the Dark Empire… we weren’t the only ones. Who knows, the other who volunteered may be a better choice anyway.

Now Connel was honestly surprised. You seriously think that?

Caltin then shrugged. Doesn’t matter what I think in this case, it isn’t up to me. I’m going there anyway.

Then Connel realized. Oh yeah! You came all the way from Midvinter! How’s uncle Thurion Heavenshield Thurion Heavenshield doing? He worried about the man, which is why he was rarely around for meetings like this for more than a few minutes. When he was not on assignment, Connel was looking feverishly for “aunt” Coci Heavenshield Coci Heavenshield .

Your mother is out there right now, spending time with him and being around them. He’s doing about as well as can be expected. He worries about you too.

That made Connel almost angry in resolve, wanting more and more to find his “aunt”, not for him, but for “uncle”. Did you have a problem bringing it?

No, it was always the plan to bring it back once it was safe to do so… just forget it was there up until recently to be honest.

That was actually my fault.

Better story if it was me.

Tel had already started to shy back into the crowd the second that one of the knights present spoke up to put more of a spin on the suggestion he'd tossed out to the group, and that desire to get out of the field of view only intensified when Valery took back over the discussion. He really didn't intend to put his voice out so much at all, so much as just—he'd been reminded of something he read and he couldn't really stop himself from talking about it for a moment. Thinking out loud and letting everyone else hear.

He was almost surprised he didn't already hear some half-mocking laughter in his head from the passenger that decided to try and catch a free ride in his mind.

Now, with the field open for volunteers for various necessities of the move, he made a point to keep his mouth shut and keep out of anybody's direct view as much as he could. This was already more up and in front of everything than he'd been in all the years since—probably—the day that he was dropped off as an infant. He couldn't risk being mistaken for volunteering for something where he had no clue what he could even do to help. Even with the little bit of advancement he'd made recently, he still barely knew anything compared to all the others around him.

Nope, definitely not gonna risk it. Just hang back, stay out of the lights, meet up with Anthony again later and things should be fine...

CORUSCANT

Drystan continued munching on his sandwich, seemingly unbothered by the ongoing discussion around him. Whatever words were exchanged—picked up, turned over, and thrown back into the mix—none of it seemed to sway his decision. He had already made up his mind.

He was going to Tython.

It was where he believed he could grow further, a place to push the limits of his skills. Not just by watching others and applying what he picked up through his accelerated learning, but by diving into the roots of the Jedi themselves. Tython was where it all began, and that's where he intended to go.

He gave Valery a casual wave and a nod in response to her question.

"Crystal like Kyber over here," he said, before pulling a bottle of water from his coat. After taking a good swig, he let out a refreshed sigh, content.

The chamber was filled with voices; hopeful, anxious, uncertain. They echoed in arcs around the room, bouncing from stone to heart and back again. Some spoke with fire, others with doubt, and yet others, with the slow deliberation of those still deciding whether they belonged in the room at all.

Issar Rae’Velis sat along the edge of the room, apart from the rest of the crowd, serpentine body coiled and still. Two arms lay folded in quiet repose upon his lap; the other two moved with measured grace, fingers tracing the spiral-carved memory beads that nestled gently in his palms. He had not come to speak. Only to witness. He listened not just to words, but to their weight, how they landed, where they trembled, where they rang hollow. The currents here were strong. Not chaotic. Merely vast.

A shift was coming.

From across the room, he caught Master Noble's gaze, brief but heavy with knowing. Perhaps this was why she had asked him to come. Not to lead. Not to teach. But to hold space. To remember. To be a still point in a gathering storm. The others debated, Tython loomed on the horizon of every sentence, and Issar remained as he was; silent, listening, present.

Where the Spiral turned, he would follow.

Voices filtered in - some familiar, some new - to give their support. Cora's attention landed on Azurine Varek Azurine Varek as she volunteered. The blonde's expression softened as Azzie reached to Aadihr, steadying herself, still tenacious as ever despite her hellish ordeal as a Sith captive.

The healing of Ashla had been her suggestion. It made perfect sense that that the zabrak would want to see to its restoration, and what she'd witnessed during the Dark Empire's assault would be intrinsic to the work that lay ahead.

Next, the young man she'd been speaking with offered his aid, followed by the gentle voice of Everest Vale Everest Vale - one who'd already begun to develop her ability to purge the dark, and fortunately the moon was stationary target. Others spoke up to assist in rebuilding.

"Understood, Master Noble."

While the role of temple warden was still being debated, Cora dipped her head in acknowledgment to the Grandmaster's words and took a step back. She tilted her attention up towards the Padawan, taller than her.

"Knight Corazona von Ascania," she offered. Though Valery Noble Valery Noble had addressed her before she'd gotten the chance to respond to him, she thought it rude to leave a question unanswered. "I'm pleased to hear you volunteer, Padawan Dawson. The healing of Ashla will not be an easy task, but we've several fine Jedi to support us."

Valery gave the chamber a final, sweeping glance, allowing the silence to stretch just long enough to settle the decisions they had made. The weight of them. The promise.

Then, with a breath, she continued, "Tython will become our new center — a place of teaching, of healing, of reflection," she began, her voice calm but resolute. "But make no mistake: Coruscant is not being abandoned."

Her gaze moved briefly toward the projection still displaying both Temples. "The Jedi Temple here will remain a pillar of the Order — a hub for diplomacy, for our work with the Alliance, and for our continued presence in the heart of the galaxy. And more than that, it will remain a home for those who find comfort here." She stepped forward again, her hands lightly clasped in front of her.

"But we are not only of the Core. And we never have been." Her voice grew stronger. "It's time for us to expand — not in power or authority, but in presence. In our reach. In the support we offer to those who don't walk these shining halls." A new projection shimmered into existence above the center of the chamber, displaying scattered planetary markers across the galactic map. Names flickered into focus: Ossus. Spintir. Selvaris. Bogano. New Cov.

"Some of these worlds already hold Jedi temples or sites of ancient importance. Others have only ruins or potential. But each of them can be made into something again — sanctuaries. Outposts. Enclaves. Places where Jedi can live, serve, and connect with the people of those regions."

Her eyes moved through the crowd again, stopping on a few familiar faces — and many new ones.

"These won't be ruled by Councils. They won't mirror Coruscant or Tython. But they will be part of our Order. They will be places where Jedi can offer help, defend peace, and study the Force. Places to grow and work from."

She let that sit for a moment before asking, "I'm looking for Jedi who are willing to take on these tasks — to travel, rebuild, reimagine what a Jedi enclave can be."

Her tone softened.

"If there's a world you feel drawn to… a place you believe the Order should return to or discover anew… step forward. Let's build this future together."

She gestured to the map.

"Tython may be our new beginning, but it is only the first step. The stars are waiting."

The Force was a funny thing. It carried several currents, and even more wishes. Right now it was washing him to make the decision he thought he would never make. It was something that he had thought about, but the big man let the Force pull him in directions to and fro along the hyperlanes of the galaxy. In short. Where the Force called, he went.

Of course, as Valery was discussing her desires to bring the NJO out into the stars (which could be spreading them too thin, but he could not say that he would be acting any differently in her place), Caltin had gotten a message from Aric Siasides Aric Siasides . Three simple words… “We got it.”. That brought a smile to his face.

There was one thing left to do. Step forward.

He thought Connel’s eyes would bulge, but in truth, he clapped his father proudly on the shoulder. Proud of you, old man.

Jin had stood quietly in the back of the chamber, avoiding the spotlight like it would incinerate him if all eyes turned towards himself. Shadows were weird like that. They were always present, always around but dispersed when greeted by too much Light.

There was a lot of that here. With so many Jedi gathered in one spot it was easily drowning out his darker half. Which wasn't a completely bad thing, it was just both uncommon and weirdly comforting.

At the words of the Grandmaster, Jin perked up and brought himself to focus on her.

Truly, did they have the chance to establish themselves on new worlds? The offer, and thought, of what could be done on his homeworld...it would ensure no other young children of Kimiji went through what he did. Experienced all he had, though said experience had created him. Molded him into who and what he was.

Still, if the possibility of bettering his home was there he had to take the chance.

"I...I would like to establish a presence in the Outer Rim. Within Cartel space to try and do what can be done to hinder their efforts and offer their people a chance at something besides a life in the underworld." Jin swallowed as many eyes turned his way. Dammit. "I am only a Padawan still though. Perhaps it is something best planned for the future?"

Zaiya's breath caught softly in her throat as the star map shimmered to life above the chamber.

Tython.

She swallowed hard as distant memories from her experience upon the world ebbed and flowed within her mind. Not just because it would be the new center. But because its ruins were still laced with echoes, scarred from histories and choices, darkened and waiting. There was something honest in that. Something she could help purify.

Her gaze flicked to the side, to where Cora sat a few levels down, the beautiful blonde Knight as composed and calm as ever. In her discussion with Iris Arani Iris Arani , Zaiya had spoken about how Cora and Master Kahlil Noble Kahlil Noble had been on Tython Station and how they'd both been part of the equation with Force Light, the technique she'd accidently channeled that had greatly affected not only her, but Nulgath Zardai Nulgath Zardai as well. It was meant for healing and driving back the dark. At the time, it had sounded like myth.

Now, it felt like direction.

Yes. That's where she could go. Assist in restoring the ruins. Help Cora. Learn.

Zaiya shifted where she sat, the golden sheen of her skin catching faintly as she moved, but not with uncertainty, but with quiet resolve. Her bioluminescent stripes rippled with a soft cobalt-flecked amber in determination, only for a gentle bronze hue to follow, curling at her collarbones. Hope.

She didn't need to speak yet. The decision was enough for now. A small, silent nod to herself, barely perceptible from the shadows of the high alcove. The others were beginning to rise, murmuring to one another, choosing their paths among the stars.

She had chosen hers.

And soon, she would walk it.

Jobbi had trouble following all the details because everyone spoke in Basic. She was warned not many would speak Huttese away from home and that she was too young to have pretty interpreters like her dad does.

All these words like Ashla and Tython went over her head as they spoke too fast, but she perked up when she heard Jin Kimura Jin Kimura mention "Outer Rim" and "Cartel Space".

That was where her home was! She didn't pick up much more of the conversation but excitedly chewed on all 8 of her fingertips at the chance of a Jedi temple being set up close to home.

She tried to listen harder now that she picked up more of what the Jedi were saying

"I heard that. Jokes aside, it wasn't a bad suggestion, kid - there's just a lot of pressure on the people in this room. Don't beat yourself up over it."

That's not what's got me so bothered! It's the fact I said anything to begin with, I don't want all these people noticing me! Besides, it sounds like Master Noble was keeping that thought in mind after all...

It felt weird to argue with a voice in his head, and yet, here he was. Here he had been for a few days now. Of course, there was more to it than it just being a voice—at least, he was reasonably certain there was more to it than that—but the point remained; he was arguing inside his own head. At least now he knew that he didn't have to say everything out loud all the time.

He was moderately impressed with the other Padawan that nearly volunteered himself to establish an enclave in Hutt space, before remembering that he was just a Padawan. That one had a level of confidence in his abilities to match the lack of ability that Tel had. As others kept volunteering for other things, he felt at least reasonably confident that there wasn't going to be any more attention directed his way, assuming that one Knight that had decided to try and build on what he was saying didn't try something.

There were a few others there who he recognized, and who maybe recognized him, but they didn't seem too likely to drag him into anything either.

"Yeah, I think I'll just hang back for now," he mumbled to himself. He'd be busy enough trying to catch up with the rest without volunteering more of his time on some venture like any of these, he needed to stay focused. Locked in.

What do you think of Tython, anyways?

IrsGHCG.png

O9S0Ehq.png

Discussions branched into mantles and responsibilities, of which Corin found little and less interest in. To anyone that knew him, either then or now, understood he chafed against any manner of restriction. For better or worse. To whomever wished to bind themselves to Tython, they're more than welcome to it.

He would remain on the edge of space.

Though the topic of outposts, enclaves and hideouts forced his hand, stepping forward.

"I'm going to find a way beyond the Blackwall," the sudden implementation of it ensured the Sith had all but disappeared from notice, left behind their wall to plot in secret, away from prying eyes. "Once I've determined a reliable way to bypass it, I'll establish an outpost for the others to make use of."
