"I trained, joined adventures with other Jedi. The Order tends to do the same things in the time of peace. Much as we do, expect they travel to other planets as well," Satara explained. There wasn't anything special in the basis of it all, these things were similar to the two groups. It was the specifics and methods that differed between them. Satara chuckled at the sudden change of subject. "There wasn't a specific bonding ritual between me and Nadie. I earned her trust by my hard work. When I was young, young as you are now, I was sent for my Trials by Ancestors and one of my tasks was to bond with a rancor. Unfortunatelly, he passed away little before Nadie was born. She is his daughter, you know." Like many creatures of the galaxy, even rancors sometimes passed on peacefully. Such was the case with her first rancor but his daughter, was so young and pure when Satara met her. "She and her mother were left on their own back then, they weren't part of our herd. I gained both of their trusts in time and when Nadie was left on her own, we worked on our relationship." She had left out that Nadie's mother had been killed, fighting a bull rancor. While Satara usually had nothing against such large creators, something had happened to that one, he had been different, violent. There was no saving of Nadie's mother but she had at least gotten there in time to save Nadie and bring her into the herd.
"Though as much as she quickly became devoted to your mother, she didn't always trust me. Nadie tends to not like strangers so it was only natural for her to be hostile towars me. Then again, she was hostile to most rancors in the herd at first but that was fear talking more than anything. That's why she's protective of all of you. She worries," Madoc added to the story.
