Beltran listened as Ingrid explained that the Force, as he knew it, was the magic to which the alien being referred. As the red-haired woman spoke, Beltran could feel a slow, subtle increase in the radiation emanating from the being. With his practiced eye, he watched the being's body language. Rather than be soothed by the explanation, they seemed to be growing more and more unnerved. Even frightened.

"So my magics and this Force are the same thing......interesting... What would a Nexus.....or Vergence be?....You outsiders seem to know more than what you tell me....."

It wasn't an outright accusation, but it also wasn't not an accusation. The radiation being emitted from the being was growing rapidly now. Could it be dangerous? Beltran didn't know. Was it on purpose? That too, remained unanswered. What was clear was, this being was powerful and it was quickly becoming unhappy.

Taking a step forward, Beltran decided that perhaps a little reassurance was necessary. "Apologies, Lady." Beltran said to Ingrid as he stepped around her. His goal was three-fold: Put himself between the Empress and the alien, draw the alien's attention to him and away from Ingrid, and hopefully to convince the alien that they meant no harm. If the last failed, at least the first two goals would put him in the best position to protect the Empress of the Eternal Empire.

Raising his hands in a gesture of peace, Beltran looked up at the alien being on their makeshift throne and spoke. "It is only natural," He began, his voice never raising above a calm tone. "That we, who have travelled the stars know more of The Force than you. There is no shame in that, nor do we seek to use our knowledge to put you at a disadvantage. I think it is fair to say that we would not have come to talk to you on our own if that was the case."

"I, myself, am still but a student of its ways. But from my own meager knowledge, please allow me to attempt to explain. A Nexus, also sometimes called a Vergence, is an area where the Force is felt more strongly than normal. When we first felt the radiation coming from this world, we thought perhaps it was because of such a place. Now, we realize that is not the case. The radiation...it comes from you, does it not? From your raw power in the Force, or the magic as you call it."

As the old woman spoke, Ingrid felt that radiation increased again. Now she was absolutely certain that the woman was the source of that. And she probably did so when she was excited or just scared. It was really very strong, it was a brute force, uncontrollable. The woman had no idea what powers she was playing with. However, Ingrid wasn't worried the witch would be able to kill them. However, she didn’t like it when someone openly threatened her. No, it was not the words that threatened, but the radiation.

The Empress was about to act and speak when Beltran acted. The red-haired woman turned her head very slightly to the side and nodded imperceptibly to her future student. She let the man do what he wanted; after all, the man was a free man who did not have to be controlled. The Colonel was not an uneducated child, but an equal party who wanted to learn. She thought so. Last but not least, she still respected him and recognized his abilities and trusted him. Beltran earned confidence on the battlefield with his actions and words.

She didn't speak, just watched in silence and waited for the man to explain it all. However, feeling the Force here in this place; it was the same as Eina. Although Eina was special in this regard as well. But yes, vergence was not just tied to a place or object, like a Nexus, but even to a person. And yes, that could be the explanation.

"Oh! She is, she is the vergence." said Ingrid. "This means that your magic is much more powerful around you, it can also cause very strong and real visions. And I would be happy if you hold back your power. I don't like being threatened."

For now, it was just a request, not a threat, though her voice was still cold and military.

Niransh felt the power course through her as her curiosity and anxiety were being reached. It was new even in her centuries. She was glad that they explained. Her mind calmed a bit as her posture remained the same as it was.
"...It speaks....the warrior speaks...Your explanation makes.....sense....."
She paused a moment to process what the other said. The authority thought Niransh was a threat. This fascinated Niransh as she thought these two would squish her like an Akhiliikh larva given the chance and willpower.
"..Threat?....You think I am a threat?...A whithered witch alone in the lungs of the world.....is a threat?...I sense you holding back something.....You think you are less powerful than me....you who holds back....but has such....authority?.."
Her quiet and raspy voice spoke with with curiosity. The radiation remained the same as she was focusing to maintain control of her thralls outside as well as the guests.
"...You both have me at my most vulnerable at my invitation....You did not want to be a threat...so I beckoned you here....I would not threaten you....so you are here....I am what you look for...What will be done now?....

Again, she sat there and waited. The energy she felt from inside her was calmer, but just as present as before. Focus was restored, and control was maintained. Her posture was the same, as she leaned forward on her staff with what would have been her gaze staring straight forward from her seat.

Stirric:
Targryn and a small attachment of fellow soldiers that had followed without question from the base camp swiftly became lost to Stirric's eyes as the group crested over a particularly foreboding mass of rubble. Stirric had instructed the ultranaught commander to keep his comms open in case any updates were required. It was, he knew, an empty order for, of course, Targryn would keep live comms anyway- to do anything less would certainly air a gracious dis-service to the Empire's code.

Stirric had already long since concluded that he would not follow with the rescue efforts. Even at his heightened age, he knew an ascension over the mounds of rubble would certainly be achievable. After all, he had received the brutal environmental training under the Sith Regime with even more beastial instructors- though, admittedly, it had been just shy a hand's spread of decades since last he had utilised it. No, instead the Admiral was reminded once more of the enviro suit adorned to him which made the incline impossible.

Despite this, Stirric did not remain idle as he instead began scouting around the haphazard terrain. He noted new flames atop numerous somewhat clear platforms and he puzzled at their stillness.

'Whatever is going on here, it certainly isn't natural' he thought to himself as he made his way towards the proposed resting place of the downed shuttle. If there was any better place to start finding answers, he couldn't think of one.

Targryn:
The scene before them was a gruesome visage. What had once stood as a prominent, defensive structure had given way to utter ruin. Yet still, Targryn would not despair. Off to one side, fellow ultramarines had already begun with the rapid excavation- all the while calling out their divisions and ranks. Were he one of the victims violated by the impact, Targryn would agree it was not the most pleasant of tone from a savior- but at least it would guarantee the presence of an ally.

He had expected the fires of course. The small, young flames that would surely rise to form a swift cremation to couple the potential earthly grave of those submerged. What he hadn't expected, however, was the corpse-like rigidity of the Blaze. It was certainly alive but it did not lick at the air. Instead, it clung to debris like a intricate fungus. Targryn turned back to the rescues when an incoming comm alert forced him to a stop.
"Sir! This is Private UC-4160 reporting from guard tower C-751. There appears to be two Ultranaughts outside the Perimeter Wall. They appearing to be under attack from some sort of creature. What should I do?”

All told, it had only taken a few heartbeats to register through Targryn's mind. A solution came to him almost immediately and he began his response.

"Private UC-4160" Targryn said, his voice controlled to a steady but fierce tone.
"Gather what support you can from C-751 and try to create distance between the perimeter wall and our men. If you can, get me a full analysis on that thing. I'll make my way to you immediately".

Targryn clicked the end of his message and began to storm his way out of the wreckage. Without breaking stride, he hailed two other Marines
"You and you. With me. The rest of you keep searching".
The ultranaught commander unslung his blaster rifle- the two other Marines mirroring a fraction of a second later.

There was something on this planet attacking the Empire's forces. Targryn vowed silently it would soon be a dead something.

Summary Of Actions:

. Stirric remains at the crash site hoping to gain information about the shuttle.

. Targryn began rescue efforts when a message of attack reached him. He is now heading to help face the thing with a pair of extra soldiers.

As Steve fell to the ground, he got a good look at his attacker’s face. It was not a pretty sight. It was an unnatural shade of white and resembled the skull of something that was human-like, but just different enough to be disturbing. The bright red eyes set into the creature’s face did not help. The worst part was that Steve recognized this face.

Meanwhile, Allen attempted to shoot the creature in the head with his KC-95. The first shot missed completely due to the recoil of the blaster. The second shot managed to hit the creature’s shoulder, but the third shot was blocked by one of the creature’s blades. Before Allen could shoot the creature again, it removed its other blade from Steve’s side, and rammed it up the blaster’s barrel. The creature twisted the blade, removing the blaster from Allen’s hands.
“Pathetic.” muttered the creature, as it removed the destroyed blaster from the end of his blade. All of a sudden, Steve jabbed his Lucius-pattern Bayonet into the creature’s right thigh. “You will never kill soldiers of the Eternal Empire again!” Steve said with sheer contempt in his voice. As the creature flinched, Allen jabbed it with the piece of railing he had been using to support himself, causing it to fall over. However, as Allen had used his support to jab the creature, he also fell down.

Nearby, Dennis was scrambling the other Ultranaughts in Guard Tower C-751.
“New orders from the Commander! We are needed outside the perimeter wall. Two Ultranaughts are out there being attacked by an unknown creature. We need to analyze and kill it, and save the Ultranaughts.” Soon, a group of fifteen Ultranaughts were rapidly closing in on the three individuals outside the wall. By this point, both Allen and the creature had managed to get up and had resumed fighting each other. Allen was clearly loosing. Now that he was closer, Dennis could clearly see the creature, and identify its species. It was a Draelvasier. He immediately activated his commlink and told the Commander about this.
