ADVANCED SYSTEMS
STRENGTHS
  • Hyperspace Tracker: The vessel is outfitted with a state-of-the-art experimental hyperspace tracker, able to track ships through hyperspace with relative accuracy. This does nothing for the ship itself, but the Noghri is able to transmit this information to other ships in a fleet; allowing the collective group to chase down fleeing enemy vessels.
  • Nigh-Impenetrable Defenses: All weapons were stripped away to afford the Noghri heavy armor plating, and comprehensive shields that gift the vessel with multiple layers of protection such as: molecular shielding, particle shielding, relativistic shielding, rad-dampening, atmospheric-friction shielding, and ion shielding.
WEAKNESSES
  • No Weapons: The Noghri is devoid of any sort of weapon system, including defensive weaponry. The vessel is designed for pure defensive support, chiefly hyperspace tracking. When threatened, the best the Noghri can do is run away or hide behind other, stronger ships until the danger has passed.
  • Momentarily Exposed: While the Noghri possesses strong anti-sensor systems, those defenses have to momentarily lowered to send relevant information to the other ships in the fleet. Because of this, the Noghri is left vulnerable to enemy detection while the jamming suites are rebooting.
DESCRIPTION

The Sith Empire, beyond pursuing greater advances in military technology, was fervently seeking greater means to give themselves the greater edge over their opponents on the intergalactic stage. Unrestrained by morality and ethics, the scientists and engineers of the Sith were allowed to carry out experiments and operations that greatly exceeded the acceptable limitations imposed by contemporary society.

They were allowed to delve deep into forbidden techniques, allowed to go farther than those that came before them.

In the end they prospered.

Through many trials and tribulations the men and women of the Sith-Imperial Corps of Engineers had developed working, albeit experimental, hyperspace tracking. Deemed a technological triumph by the Sith Emperor, the technology was immediately put to military use aboard a small fifty meter starship dubbed the Noghri. A DERP jamming suite was installed onboard the Noghri, while the hull was covered by a Nightshadow coating which baffled sensors and made the ship difficult to detect when still. However, if the Noghri moved at any speed above a slow list, then the anti-sensor coating would be negated as the engine emissions would negate the sensor baffling.

No longer could militants scurry away into the unknown, free from retribution. Now the Empire could find them no matter where they chose to hide, there was no longer any safe place in the galaxy from the wrath of the Sith.

Affiliation: The Sith Empire Production: Limited
From the template:
Production: The scale is Unique (Only One Character), Semi-Unique (Maximum of 10 characters), Limited (Only one small group of characters. IE: Small task force, not entire factions.)
Because limited production is specifically aimed for small groups of characters (not entire factions), could you narrow this down to a specific part of the Sith Empire?

Overall, we're a bit high in ratings (3 ratings to be exact). My guess would be because the hangar is listed as "None". If this is the case, pleas remember that the "Average" hangar rating for a ship this size is "none", so it can't actually go beyond "average" in terms of ratings for balancing purposes. Please adjust according.

Tell me a bit more about the jamming suites and the Reflec coating. How effective is this reflec coating at hiding the Noghri?

Most sensor jammers (including full-spectrum distortion projectors) aren't actually good at making a ship stealthy in the traditional sense of the word (like a stereotypical ninja, for example). Rather, they flood an area with sensor noise, basically trying overwhelm sensors with too much stimuli. This actually makes it easy to detect that something's around them (and making all that sensor noise), but it makes it difficult to discern what that is exactly.

If you're looking for something more stealthy in nature, I'd recommend checking out a Dedicated Energy Receptor Projector or another similar technology like a sensor mask or a sensor blind. Bear in mind that if this gives it significant stealth capabilities though, the production of the ship will have to be lowered to semi-unique per the starship factory rules.

Edited the affiliation, the type of sensor jamming tech, and the ratings to reflect balance.

I also changed the reflec coating to nightshadow coating, and explained that in further detail in the description.
