That is what happens in a no self nomination..............nomination. People tunnel vision on a single viable candidate and nobody else get's considered.

That is one opinion and I respect you for voicing it even if I don't agree with it. The fact remains you have no idea why I did it or what I may or may not do with said position should I ever be in it.

[member="Vengeance"] I imagine if people had a better idea of what you might plan to do with the Faction Lead position, they might be inclined to nominate you. Otherwise you're an unknown quantity, while Reverence and Pyrrhus are well-established. What else are we to think when you first nominate yourself and then complain that it'd be a more open field had you been allowed to? What other reasons might we have to think you might be a good fit for the job?

I never complained about any such notion of an open field or lack there of. It is however a proven fact that permitting self nominations creates a larger field of potential candidates. I simply entertained the comment of another player in reference to only Pyrrhus being the only confirmed candidate so far.

I am well aware of the established opinions and successes of Reverance and Pyrrhus. I RP'd with him under two different Sith first Arturious Engel when Mierin was FO and as Vengeance. I have also been in threads with both Rev and Pyrrhus with Vengeance here. As well as support faction growth with all three of my characters Vengeance, Thanith, and Viktor.

I'm sure there were lots of deciding factors in this nomination, the biggest one being suitableness for the job. But also having the stamp of approval from the previous owner of the faction - a writer who drove the faction to success and is beloved by the Sith and across Chaos?

If you want to call it tunnel vision, you can. But I prefer to point to the first two examples here for why this nomination is so unanimous.
