Not Easy Being Green

Tangata'Osofa, on planet Biitu

"I said let them go!" Bryce said to the Rodian slavers.

The markets in the "Green skin" district were packed as they always were this time of the week. Lower class Biituians hurried past their heads down in fear and shame of the spectral before them. Humans and the other minor races had arrived for weekly slave markets, eagerly waiting to shell out their hard stolen credits for indentured companionship.

"I told your masters at Grandcorp this poodoo was not going to fly. The people of the loto lelei tribes are under my protection and you have wrongly taken them from their homes. Now you will return them to me, or else." BB threatened.

Things quickly degraded from there as the Rodian slavers and the young Biituian boy broke out into a good old fashioned street fight. To may of the onlookers surprise the brash youngster was holding his own. With near cat like moves he fought bravely against the slavers attacks, but as more henchmen dressed in Grandcorp uniforms arrived it was looking like the odds would soon be to great for BB to overcome.

Raachwaroo

Flying the beat up junker through space Raachwaroo found himself being caught into a gravitational pull of the planet Tagata’Osofa's orbit. Oohing in his native tongue he flew it inwards to the mostly green though slightly urban planet. Landing the smaller ship down in the lovingly named 'Green Skin District.' As he pulled out he grabbed some of his salvage and began wandering looking for someone to buy some of it before he heard a few cheers and hollers. This kind of sounds were commonly used on his home planet for signs of good things, and good things brought credits. Walking closer was where the only Wookie within a short space jump distance who snowed saw Bryce Bantam, or BB.

"Graaaaaaagggggh!" The massive beast cried out as he saw money being passed around for bets. Taking the side of the underdog, the one not dressed in slavers gear. Pale olive skin contrasted the mostly human slavers before the Wookie ran in dropping his bag of steel salvage and uppercutting a slaver about to strike BeBe from behind. Crushgaunt combined with Wookie strength was enough to literally launch the being up into the air off the ground by a few feet. Roaring in delight he backed against the much smaller half-human and chuckled as this was going to be very entertaining.

He's big, he's strong, and he's helping me?... BB had no idea who this mountain of hair covered goodness was. All he knew is this fight just went from badly out numbered to payback is a giant roaring beast, and he loved it. Dipping and dodging the still attacking slavers BB combine his quickness and fineness with his new allies strength and aggression. Before long the two stood alone surrounded by a dozen slavers who lay on the ground having lost fight the will to remain conscious. BB stunned at the turn of events was breathing heavy as he approached his long haired ally.

"Wow, I have no idea where you came from mister but DAMN you big.... Oh sorry right my manners, my name is Bryce Bantam, but my friends call me BB." He said holding out his hand to for wookiee to shake.

After almost quite literally wiping the floors with these people he hadn't even met yet, he realized only at the point that Bryce had spoke that he made a mistake. He had absolutely no idea what the boy was saying, he got a few words here and there, the jist of what he heard was, 'gibberish, jibberish, big, gibberish, wood friend.' Wood Friend? Deciding that the handshake was a good sign, and actually something he recognized. Grabbing the hand painfully, but not damagingly hard, the wookie said back to BB in true Shyriiwook fashion,

"Graghha Maaahn!" Which if translated by a master decoder, on a level of the famous C-3PO would say, 'Well met Red Friend!' though if refined through his gestures 'Well met my new Red Friend! You are an excellent fighter!' Then the wooled man looked to the bodies and resisted the overpowering urge to loot them and maintained eye-contact with the half alien.

Man this guy has a grip that would make a cargo loader droid jealous BB thought as he check to make sure all his knuckles were intact. He roared to, something like "Graghha Maaahn" ... graham... Oh Graham, that must be is name. Having deduced that introductions were completed BB bent down and began going through the nearest slavers cloths for the shackle keys. Finding a pair and the guys money clip he flipped the clip it to his new buddy Graham before motioning for him to keep looking for more keys.

"Some of the shackles have different keys, you keep looking for the remaining sets buddy. I'm going to go over and start freeing the prisoners." BB said as he jogged off to the Biituian slave cages.

"Oh I also signaled for my ride, should be here in like 10 minutes!" BB said pointing to his wrist comm.

"Brahmll!" He cooed back much less violently, which was basically a 'Yeah, sure.' Giving a nod as he'd seen humans do on Kashyyyk, and out of all the things he'd seen them do this one was the most common right next to weird finger language when they got upset. Seeing the money clip and keys being presented he decided that the keys where this beings cut of the spoils, fair enough he thought as he began looting. Taking the credit clips and placing them in his black vest pocket and the keys around his ring and middle fingers. After looting them all except for one that was crawling away he dragged that body to the men taking bets and presented it before holding out one of the credit clips and hollering in Wookie about him and BB's earnings.
"What are you talking about? C'mon get outta here." The human gambler said giving into one of his cardinal sins. This made Raachwaroo unsure of what he said hoot louder causing the man to give him a fair amount satisfying the beast as it made it's way to BB and handed over the keys with a smile and grunted as he pressed his fist to his chest, a sign of 'You're share.' Picking his satchel of scrap metal of many alloys, some still having strict sanctions against, like a set of alternative lightsaber crystals, and of course the small set of Mandalorian iron.

@Bryce Bantam

With Graham's help BB was able to free remaining Biituian tribe people and was begin escorting them on board BB ship. No sooner had the Biituians began boarding then a dozen UUD-1 and an old looking GE3 droid came out to greet BB.

"I say, well done sir. Let it never be said the master Bryce is not a man of his word." The GE3 said in a proper accent.

"We are not done yet, have the UUDs take the slavers into custody. Use the slave shackles to bid them and load them aboard the Starr, away from the tribesmen if possible. Oh, and I can't really talk to Graham so well, can you give him my thanks and offer him a lift out of town, the local security folks will kinda want to arrest him after this." BB said pointing to the wookiee.

"Graaaghn." Raachwaroo stated plainly to the GE3, translating to 'Hey, nice to meet you.' Not shaking the droid's hand he looked around at the green skinned people being loaded on before the slavers were cuffed. 'Why does Red Friend fight alone? Surely he would have lost if I'd not stepped in. Does he have secret power?' The wookie asked confusedly as he scratched his head.

GE3 responded to Raachwaroo question by noting while in master BB's care he had noticed abnormal speed and skill from the boy but as for magic that was beyond his programming. As for allies he advised Raachwaroo that the Biituian people loath violence, and that BB is unique among his people. Before GE3 could enlightening Raachwaroo on the intricacies of the Biituian tribes the rear Mace Kinetic Energy Weapon turrets of BB's ship came alive and began pounding the security vehicles that just rounded the corner.

"GE3, time to go! Load the the remaining folks and get your shiny tin backside up to the bridge." BB said as he ran down the cargo ramp while letting loose a few shots as the disembarking security force.

As the remaining passengers got on board a Biituian woman ran down to the ramp shouting, "Sosha, Sosha!"

A child responded hiding behind a trash container, with tears in his eyes the toddler screamed for its' mother to help him as blaster fire filed the air. BB wasted little time and ran toward he child responding to the security forces with shorts from his own BTI-DSG "The Hibernator". Moving fast the sheer volume of fire was to great for him to avoid and he took glancing shots to his back and thigh before reaching the child. He grimaced in pain as he rolled over to shield the boy from oncoming fire and tried to take cover behind the already battered container.

Fear crept into BB eyes as he tried to move. He was hurt and his greatest asset might be lost to him. Without help, he now feared for the worse and clutched the boy close as he fired at the security forces unwilling to give into the fear that would cause many to fold.

Raachwaroo

BB was in most people's shoes a stranger. Raachwaroo was raised in a tribe that taught family was kept close while outsiders were no where near as valuable as yourself and your brothers. Though Raachwaroo was a black sheep, and had always caused trouble for his families mainly with his primary weapon which was his fists. Then as BB fell to the ground trying to protect a child, Raachwaroo rushed to the side, not of Bryce... but Red Friend. With his only form of protection since the age of eleven he threw his right fist out into the air and punched a blaster's ray deflecting it with the Crushgaunt's main material, Mandalorian Iron. Roaring out in protection of his friend the sight of a roaring Wookie was enough to stun them momentarily as he in his left hand began firing his Blaster Rifle at the group buying the two boys a little bit of time but ready to bolt the second they would.

With the open Raachwaroo provided BB wasted little time picking up the frightened child and hobbling into to the "Starr". With his new allied close behind the BB signaled to take off which T7-S80 was more than happy to comply with. As the H-wing rose into the air BB handed the child to his mother before motioning for his new friend to follow him up to the second level. Handing off his unneeded gear to a Z6 crew droid he then proceeded to take a seat in the port medical bay to begin treating his wounds.

BB removed his ripped up shirt and cut open his scorched pants so he could apply the Bacta pads to begin the healing process before saying...

"GE3, please thank my friend here for saving my shebs again out there. Damn fine of him to help. Also let him know he is welcome to any care or supplies he needs aboard the Starr, and welcome to stay at with us at the fort or wherever for as long as he likes." BB said.

Raachwaroo quickly followed his friend into the ship and later the medical bay, he was thanked by some of the green skin people to which he smiled and nodded as they would have no idea what he was saying. With his ship left behind he now just had his mandalorian iron and some scrap steel with him alongside his blaster and gloves. Feeling rather incomplete he listened to their metallic medium convey BB's thanks and gratitude before the chesnut boxer retorted in Shyriiwook, 'It's no trouble, I shouldn't need much. Perhaps some water, though what the Fort? Can I sell my metals there? Maybe find a blacksmith to work it into something useful?' After the long series of grunts, moans, and back of the throat gargles. Raachwaroo looked to BB whom was healing himself with small alien patches, to try to maintain eye-contact while his delayed words made it to him.

BB has a crewman droid bring out a spread of his finest provisions he had on board. Fresh Moli fruit, Fatu breads warmed in the ships galley, dried Fen-hare meat seasoned with local salts and spices, and some water distilled from the valley springs of the southern continent. BB had few allies and many to care for so this small offering was the least he could do for his gallant mountain of a friend.

"No smiths at fort, though I do know a few people who deal in contraband. I should be able to find someone to give you a fair price, till them can you hand out, the loto lelei tribe will surely want to celebrate tonight with a grand feast, you should say so they can properly honor you." BB said hoping Raachwaroo will accept.

'Of course, I'd love to have dinner with your guests. I'll hold off on the meats for now, but might take it for the road.' Raachwaroo was very greatful for saving this friend, not only had he made his money, but he was getting food out of it too. He'd had to leave his ship behind but he hid it well enough he hoped. Nodding to BB he was overjoyed to be invited and was more than ready for such a party. 'Perhaps you could tell me what this stuff is sometime?' Raachwaroo asked the translater as he motioned to his satchel filled with Mandalorian Iron, Steel, and some Synthetic Lightsaber crystals.

Grandcorp Tower, Tangata'Osofa, on planet Biitu

Wendell looked displeased as he left his personal bath, even sending his twi'lek slaves away. He has spent years trying to bring to heel this pacifist planet and these recent rash of disruptions were interfering with his bottom line. Rapping a towel around himself he walked up to the security chief that had brought him the bad news.

"How?" he asked simply demanding his underling explain the reasons for the most recent string of failures.

"He had help, a wookiee that had just landed. We have already impounded the ship but..." The chief stammered.

"But what?" Wendell asked.

"It is a wreck, no clues as to who owns it or where it came from." The chief answered.

"The tracking devise, did you at least do that much right?" Wendell asked.

"Yes we have a signal, it is weak and may take sometime to triangulate but I think..." He began to say.

"Don't think, know, and get me those coordinates. Once we have the location of his hideout, we can begin the testing of the experiments." he said in an ominous tone.

Wendell Wraith would let them have their fun, it was always better to crush a hopeful opponent, more fun to watch that hope turn to sadness when they lose.

Fort Ua’ua leva, on planet Biitu

The Starr set down in a roughly cut clearing near the southern end of the town. Just as BB had foretold once the ship had landed and extended its cargo ramp man and woman alike began embracing missing family now returned to them. As the joyous reunions continued the three small round green fur covered beings floated down and began to seem to comfort some of the more traumatized rescuees.

"The're a good omen," an older man with a short grey beard said as he approached the ship.

"Pretty cool for what I thought were pets," BB replied shaking the preachers hand.

BB introduced Raachwaroo to one of the refuges of the rebellion on Ruusan, and their local clergymen before being handed a datapad from GE3.

"Lord Merrill has agreed to your request, he stated he is in the area and will be here within a few hours." GE3 continued summing up the information the data pad contained.

"Well that work out better than I hoped, he should be here in time for the celebration." BB said.

That night a great feast was prepared by the old temple, young old alike began eating, drinking, and dancing. Tribal music filled the are as the area around was lit from the light of great bonfires.

"Cut loose and enjoy yourself buddy, I'll let you know when Jorus arrives." BB said to raachwaroo before taking a Manu leg from the table and digging in.

Raachwaroo

Raachwaroo was extremely happy with the preparations and the mass gathering of people now all not slaves that were truly sentient. Thanking BB with a nod and a Shyriiwook,

"Geyyr!" Or 'Enjoy all' a common phrase amongst him and friends from his planet. Drinking some with no problem as Wookie brews were strong enough to kill humans so Biituian Ales surely weren't strong enough to down him let alone intoxicate him with using it to wash down instead of drink deep. He didn't understand but he would come upon hearing BB yell. Dancing uncoordinatedly he laughed and brayed loudly enjoying himself and the food around him. A lack of furred women was a bit sad but he didn't need the opposite sex to enjoy his night, and his preferences didn't matter in him having fun. Raachwaroo laughed and had a true blast for some time.

He'd always meant to quit drinking. Up until his mid-twenties he'd been downright alcoholic. He'd put that behind him as best he could, but his whole life was first contact missions. And most cultures only trusted you once you shared a drink or something comparable.

Bearing a small cup of the local hooch, Jorus wove his way through the party. He narrowly avoided an intoxicated Wookiee, ducked between some flirting locals, and wound up where he needed to be. That was his one talent.

"You Bantam?"

BB put down his drink and turned to see the aged face of a voice had only heard over the comms. Brushing off food crumbs and dirt he attempted to make himself more presentable. While not an imposing figure Jorus had a presence about him that was undeniable.

"Hey boss, nice to finally meet ya in the flesh." BB said while snapping a sloppy and untrained salute.

"Oh I got someone I want ya to meet... GRAHAM stop all the dancing and get over here!." BB shouted drunkenly while waving the wookiee over.

Graham, Raachwaroo, and also known as Wood Friend heard the cries of 'Red Friend' and made his way over to find that there was now a new human. A very small comparatively Corellian Jedi Master with enhanced blue eyes, though of course Raachwaroo knew literally none of this aside from the very small factor. Looking to BB and then to the man he nodded and gave a,

"Raaaaaaaaaaaachur!" Or simply put not involving his right arm pistoning upwards, 'Well met new friend!' With no proper name to call the master he would find the best sounding word out of his sentence to name him.
