Not Quite Pelagon [Echo]

He gave a nod, as the waitress returned to take their order. "Hello again, could we get two xizor salads to start with, and..." The girl looked malnourished, and lacking in vitamin intake. Perhaps something to boost her iron? Steak was always a great option. "Two steaks; I'll take mine rare, try medium for the young Lady."

As the waitress walked off to give their order to the chef, Adiara could not help but let his gaze trail after her in thinly veiled curiosity. His brow raised, impressed. Then he remembered he was not alone at the table, and cleared his throat.

"You're okay now" he said, trying to comfort her as she wept without having to resort to physical contact. He didn't want to make her uncomfortable, after all, "soon you'll be away from this world, and then the Galaxy is at your fingertips."

"Hey, hey" Adiara cooed, reaching across the table in order to settle a hand upon her shoulder. He gave it a comforting squeeze, studying what little of her expression he could decipher with the distinct lack of eyes to rely upon. The eyes were, after all, a gateway to the soul. "Come on, it's okay; don't dwell on the past, sweetheart, keep your head held high and this rough patch will soon be little more than a distant memory."

The salad was brought to their table shortly after, so Adiara retracted his hand and instead used it to urge her to eat. Alongside the gesture came a soft smile and some soothed words. "I promise you'll feel better with some food in you; please, eat."

The food came and went, a multitude of plates were set before the girl who was permitted to eat as much or as little from each as she willed. Finally the time came for them to leave, however. "I cannot promise the same dining experience aboard The Miaplacidus, rations exist on ships for a reason, but you will not go hungry so long as you are with me."

And he meant it.

Rising, Adiara moved to the counter to pay for the expenses, before turning back toward Echo with a gently gesture.

Through the streets of Naboo he wondered, night had descended not that she would be able to tell the difference. His ship was close by, his head felt clear enough to pilot it once more. Where in the Galaxy could they visit, though? Well, that remained to be seen.

Once onboard he showed her to the crew's cabin. There were several bunks for her to choose from, a wardrobe for her to keep the things they had bought that day and anything else she might pick up."My cabin is just across the way; there is a refresher beside your room. You're welcome to explore the ship, but do not go poking in my quarters and I will do my best to keep out of yours." There was no other crew, no one for her to share the space with.

With that he ventured back to the cockpit and prepped the ship for take off. From one adventure to the next.

Echo moved to the wardrobe and began putting her stuff in before beginning to explore the ship a little. This was possibly the best day of her life, she had been found by the nicest man ever. She had eaten after weeks of starving. He had brought her back from the brink
