Nothing like a late night stroll and drink

Rosa Gunn

Guest
Sleep eluded Rosa, she had lain in her bed for hours eyes closed but her mind would not rest. She tried to meditate instead, and while it worked to clear her mind still she couldn't sleep, she had every reason to be tired, as always Darron had worked her hard and she had spent hours studying after. Nonetheless she couldn't sleep nor work out why she couldn't sleep in order to fix it. So she did the only thing she could, she got up, got dressed and moved silently through the deathly quite corridors of the Jedi Temple, wondering what she could do with herself.

She could study? the mere though of that made her groan aloud and she moved to her next option, to go out. She had no plans, or destination, she merely stepped out of the Jedi Temple and let her feet carry her. Even past midnight, Coruscant was still a whirlwind of activity, with speeders zooming above her head and streets packed with late night activities generally resolving around alcohol or other narcotics.

Their heightened emotions made Rosa somewhat uncomfortable and wanting the calm and peace of the Temple. Going back meant one of two things, study or practice and she wanted neither. She opted instead for and old haunting ground of hers. hailing a speeder she directed him to a rooftop club. It was for the sophisticated and as such they tolerated no drunks and fights were dealt with long before they could break out.

Half the club was outside where they had fashioned a intricate garden with plenty of little niches for those private conversations and moments. Rosa picked a table close to the edge of the roof where she was concealed from sight but could watch Coruscant go by while sipping the Corellian whisky she had ordered at the bar. Relaxed once more she extended her empathy across the restaurant, wondering if any of her old acquaintances were here.

Keter

The Renegade
The wheel turned, and they all wound up back where they had started. In Keter's case, he was back to serving drinks. He couldn't help but smile. It was a job many of his kind considered beneath them, but personally, he loved it. ANd employers also loved him. What other bartenders could have a small halo of bottles orbiting their heads, pouring multiple drinks?

An utterly crass misuse of his powers in the eyes of anyone else, but they could go hang. These were his powers and he would do waht he wanted with them. Besides, being a bar man was one of the most steady jobs he could hope to land, and it allowed one to overhear a whole lot of information. Granted he still wasn't anywhere near proficient in cocktail mixing, but juggling the various bottles and glasses along the counter was perfect excercise for his powers. Spatial awareness was key. Jedi and Sith would have snorted or laughed at him, dismissing him as some lowly apprentice performing parlor tricks. Being underestimated always made Keter feel like he had achieved something. To be considered beneath notice meant one could do a lot of things without fear of scrutiny.

But that was neither here nor there. He had a family to support, so whilst he still had his little schemes, he was mostly focused on the task at hand. And then he felt the faint prickling in his mind of a hunter. Nothing malicious, just someone seeking out others. The blond ignored the feeling and continued his work, bottles, liquid and glasses flying from the counter to the sink to the shelves and onto trays. He was a minor attraction here, and he was never one to disappoint an audience.

"Yes Master's, the tracking device has been planted as requested. I will roam the bar for a while to make sure there are no other hitmen for Radosk here and then I will make my way back to the temple." The mini-holograms before him all nodded in unison as the Jedi Master cut the comm on his prosthetic forearm, it took a few moments to adjust the synthskin he was wearing over it after he covered the mechanical part of his arm up. The man took one last look at himself in the mirror to make sure his disguise was still holding up at this bar where a Jedi Master had no business being at this time of night. Couldn't they have sent someone else to do this, oh no lets send our greatest warrior for a simple tracking mission after he finished working with his former Padawan. Guess this must be some practical joke from the Council, some sort of welcome to the club joke?

Darron quickly cut his random thoughts short as he re-centered himself in the Force, it was unbecoming of a member of the Council to think such things. Instead, he turned his attention to his radically different appearance. Instead of being clothed in his normal attire, or even in Jedi robes, he was dressed much more casual. He had on plain boots, with stylish and tight blue jeans over them, a tight fitting v neck t-shirt that showed of his very muscular build. A leather jacket also fit rather tightly over his thick arms and broad back, the stylish necklaces he had been supplied with seemed to go well with the simple belt he was wearing. The synthskin covered the prosthetic that was as much a trademark of who he was, and his lightsabers were safely stored in a secret compartment in one of the astromech droids working the venue. His normal, braided or free long blonde locks where pulled back into a ponytail and for once he actually allowed himself to see himself as a man instead of as a warrior. I wish Rosa were here...

The thought haunted his mind as he made his way through the bar, his senses checking for threats as he appeared to mingle. He could feel the eyes of everyone in the bar on him, guess they must not see 6'5, well built men very often? He paid the catcalls no attention as he made his way around the bar appearing to be disinterested in everyone but his drink until he felt a familiar surge of empathy flow through the establishment. Guess the Force does provide, i'm in luck. He quickly turned and headed towards the presence in the Force, all the while masking his own presence to allow him the element of surprise. She has no idea I am here...

He allowed a boyish grin to cross his handsome face as he made his way to her table, using the Wookies in front of him as cover from her beautiful, brown eyes. Seeing her look elsewhere, he quickly pulled up a chair and addressed her as a man and not the Jedi Master she knew. "I would say I would like to buy you a drink, but I feel like we are past that....and yes you look amazing. Also, I won't even begin to ask what a Jedi Knight such as yourself is doing out here on their free time." He made sure to put extra emphasis on the word "Knight" to show his approval of her promotion.

Viqi The Durosian once more landed his straight-line ship near the bar, he walked down the ramp, burping. Viqi would notice Darron, noticing that he is flirting with another woman. Why he does that is a mystery to Viqi.

It was unusual to find a force sensitive barman who was clearly trying to strengthen his powers through practice. Rosa had nothing against it, though she felt like it was a waste of perfectly good talent. Eyes closed she pushed beyond the bar and across Coruscant, still felling the heightened emotion that came with alcohol but beneath it all was so much more, before she could delve into it any further however someone slipped into a chair at her table. She did not feel them she only heard them, so when Darron's voice came out she gave a start and spilled her whisky over her hand.

By the force, are you trying to give me a heart attack? she asked telepathically shaking her head as she grabbed a napkin to wipe her hand with and setting her glass on the table, his casual attire and greeting was enough for her to kow that acknowledging that she knew him put him in danger Undercover?

She gave him am uninterested look though there was a twinkle in her eyes that gave away her game to him "Contrary to common belief, Jedi Knights to often get the chance to have a social life, unlike Masters of the Order who seem to be too busy to remember to have fun." the corners of her mouth twitched as she resisted a smile "You don't seem the usual sort to find up here," she said giving him the once over with her brown eyes "Far too handsome."

And of course the holostar goes to the woman. Like a Nexu to fresh meat. Keter kept his gaze on the man who had entered a moment longer, saving his image to the memroy banks. He could run a facial recognition scan whilst he got on with work. More drinks were poured, and faces came and went. Doing this kind of job allowed him to lose himself in his work, and let go of his worries and schemes. Everyhting seemed so simple, before anything else had become necessary. Still, the data being fed back to his sight from his ship was not comforting. Looked like superstar boy was not a holostar after all. Curious. Further investigation would be necessary once his shift was done.

The shock on Rosa's face had been the intended reaction and Darron couldn't help but let a laugh escape him as he pulled the chair next to Rosa out and took a seat next to her. It had been quite the pleasant surprise to see his former Padawan out and about, especially while he was wrapping up an assignment such as the one he was on. As Rosa spoke to him, he noticed that his tracking device had worked successfully and that the objective had been cleared. I could leave now, head back to the temple, and get some well deserved rest his mind said to him. Stay for a while and and talk to Rosa outside of the Order for once, Force knows you two have been dodging a few certain subjects during your time training her and after that. The heart won for the first time in nearly three decades, the last time he had allowed that had been a few years before he had been frozen for two decades. See where that got you Wraith?

Yes, assignment is over though. I could leave if you like.

Her words had caused him to laugh, even as he had telepathically communicated with her. Yet there were a few barbs in there, and they had stung as had been intended by Rosa. "Well, I would technically have no life had my life gone on as biologically intended. Yet my adventuring ways seemed to have allowed you the rare opportunity to actually deal with a man not of your time, I was friends with your father, yet here we are?" Blue eyes traced her lean and attractive form, her clothes fitting her in ways that temple robes just didn't. "You should try and wear stuff like this more often around the temple, you might have a fan club." What he had meant to say was that she was strikingly beautiful and that he couldn't take his eyes off of her, but instead he let that remark come out. There was a trace of humor to his words as he waived a waitress over to get them some more drinks, yet at it's core Darron had been bluntly honest as always.

"Yes...I'll have whatever the lady is having," he barely got the words out of his mouth as he paid the waitress before turning his full attentions to Rosa. Blue eyes dropped to his glass for a moment, and he allowed his face and body to relax for the first time in ages. What in the Force are you doing Wraith? Darron's eyes found Rosa's and he just stared into them, for the first time with no guard between the two. "Can I ask you some things and you answer them with full blown honesty? I mean hell, let's just open the floodgates and you can fire away too." Darron took a sip of his drink before continuing.

"If I was just Darron Wraith, just a man nothing more. What would you think of me? Also, why can't I shake you from my head despite all my training and past experiences in life telling me the opposite Rosa?" He had dropped all formalities as he leaned forward a little, his voice dropping. "Please tell me this isn't just me going crazy from being locked in carbonite for two decades, or am I just completely out of the loop and reading things wrong. Is there anything to read?" He hadn't meant his thoughts to come streaming out like that, but he was in no mood for games on this night.

Rosa shook her head in response to his message a sly grin at his words "What make you think I don't have one already? I'm surprised they haven't made you the number one groupie." She looked away, reaching for her drink and finishing the last of it as Darron ordered more. Her chest tightened as he looked at her and she caught his eye, there was that look, the look both of them had raised barriers against. An unspoken agreement to not acknowledge whatever they thought the other was thinking.

Darron was letting the barrier down, Rosa dropped her eyes to her glass as the questions spilled from his mouth, slowly as the last question fell out she met his eyes again and opened herself to him completely in the force allowing him to feel what she felt every time he spoke to her, every time that he brushed much closer than he knew he should. "I would think no differently of you Darron," she said softly a nervous laugh escaping her, she took a sip of her drink. Your so deep under my skin right now and I can't do anything about it, she thought to herself before continuing "Your not exactly easy to read yourself, I mean one minute I catch you looking at me just like you are now..." she paused, realising just how fast her heart was going, and how hypnotising his eyes were "and then your as cold as stone like when Ashin was in town, which I'm still annoyed about for the record."

She was trembling and she closed both her hands round the glass to stop it and leant forward, shrinking the gap between them even more. "Your not going mad and you're reading me perfectly fine, but you already knew that. The real question is, what are you going to do about it?" No games, floodgates open, barriers down and that thick ball of emotion in her chest that threatened to overrun her rationality and actions.

"I honestly have no idea gorgeous..."

Darron looked down into his glass, searching for answers, or at the very least a way to properly say what was racing through his mind. The intensity of their conversation had ratcheted up about 15 different levels and he was noticing it was getting rather warm in that leather jacket of his. He had never felt pressure like this, and his job description consisted of him acting alone in hostile environments taking on the monsters his parents used to scare him with to go to sleep as a child. How did you allow her to get underneath your skin Darron? You are much, much more careful than this, and you should have known better you fool. The Jedi Master just sat in silence as he mentally kicked himself for letting things get this far, yet at the same time he didn't seem to really care. So which is it Wraith? Do you care about fixing this or letting it proceed?

The Jedi slid the leather coat off, revealing the tight shirt underneath. He slid his thick arms across his chest as he leaned back in the chair to gain a few inches of distance just so he could think. Rosa's presence had the effect of closing off all functional thought, and he needed to be able to complete a sentence. "I know I'm not easy to read, and I'm sorry. I know you read me that day with your empathy a few months ago, but could you honestly dissect every event? I have lost so, so much and it took a lot to get me to where I am in life now." Darron took another look into his drink, and decided against a sip just yet as he looked directly into Rosa's beautiful brown eyes. "You see the end result before you, but every lesson I have learned was never an easy one. You see this Jedi now, and you see what everyone sees. You expect me to be this titan of battle and a god outside of it, when in reality i'm just someone who lost everything and somehow lived through hell."

I"ll have that drink now, he thought to himself. He eagerly downed it's contents before placing the glass on the table. His blue eyes looked around the bar for another moment or so before continuing. "You expect me to always know what to do, and with this I don't. I'm grasping at straws here Rosa, I honestly don't know how to proceed. Have you read my mission briefs, have you watched the vids? I don't have a normal job and every mission could be my last easily, do you want to get wrapped into that? Can you handle the stress of knowing I will always be in mortal danger? I'm not invicible, one day someone will kill me." A morbid silence fell over him as he looked down at the table once more before uttering one more sentence.

"I have watched everyone I care for die for me, I can't go through that one more time...I can't. I'm the best in battle, but I don't know how many times I can take being emotionally destroyed."

Rosa closed her eyes and sat back. "You know something Darron, for an intelligent man, you can be such an idiot." Opening them again she fixed him with an intent stare "I don't see a god, or a titan, Darron. I don't even see the Jedi. You think I look through the eyes of everyone else but I don't. I see a man, I see someone who has suffered and for all his faults I see someone who wants to do the best by those he holds dear. But I also see someone who is afraid, who hides behind this thick shell."

She sat forward again, un wrapping his fingers from the empty glass and interlocking them with hers. "I am not like the people you lost Darron. I am not defenceless and I do not need protecting. You have been given a second chance to live...and maybe even to love." she let her words hand in the air for a moment "Neither of us are invincible, but if we were then it would make what we feel pointless. Take a chance Darron."

It wasn't until Rosa unwrapped his fingers from his drink and took his hand, did he notice the slight tremble in his palms. His hands were trained for so much more, he had done so many great, powerful, and terrible things with them. Yet here she was grasping his hand like he actually deserved some happiness, do I honestly deserve this? She could have any many she wanted, and she's here spending her time with me. He closed his eyes, and made his breathing slow as he considered everything that was going on. Yet he was still taking notes like he was on a mission. Her smell was intoxicating, the way her clothes clung to her body was hard to not notice, and her touch was doing things to him he couldn't even fully comprehend. She was making it hard for him to focus, remember the lifetime worth of training that steeled him from such things. I really just need to jump off that ledge and get some air, he thought. "Rosa, it's not that easy. It really isn't."

Blue eyes found hers, and he allowed himself to just be fully vulnerable and open to her.

"Don't you think I just want to say ok? I know you can take care of yourself, the guy who taught you is the best I heard." He managed a small laugh at his own joke, "yet I don't know what to make of all this. What happens if someone uses you against me? You got angry at how cold I was to you in that bar with Zev, that's how it has to be to protect each other." He leaned forward in his seat and tightened his grip on her hand slightly with his prosthetic. "We are both capable, but what happens if we are used against each other? You know I would die for you in a heartbeat, you know how selfless I am." His eyes continued to plead with her for answers as the words spilled from his mouth.

"Tell me how to manage all of this, and I will give it a chance. I just need to hear that this can and will work."

The already drunken infantry officer entered the bar with a bit of a stumble. He'd only just returned from yet another annexation by the Republic of a world that didn't quite want to assimilate. Was it right? Probably not. And then the even larger question after killing men and women who believed they'd been fighting for their own sovereignty, which they probably were, did he care? The answer?

Not a damn bit.

The officer sat at the bar and ordered three more shots of whiskey, there was a record of some kind he was trying to beat but he'd already forgotten what it was.

Rosa's heat sank at his words and she pulled way her hand rising from the table and moving to lean on the railings looking down into the chaos that was Coruscant below, drawing in deep breaths and trying to find a way in her mind to hep him see, to help him understand that it could work. That it would work and that no matter what the galaxy threw at them it would be fine.

The tight block of emotion in her chest shifted up and a lump formed in her throat. She swallowed hard against it. Turning her head slightly so she could see Darron out the corner of her eye she spoke "What do you want me to say Darron? That no one will use us against each other? Of course they will try, its how the galaxy works. They exploit try to exploit everyone's weakness...but you're not my weakness. You're my strength." she turned to face him, one hand still on the railing.

"I was mad at you with Zev because I saw no reason for the protection there was no warning, no communication, not to mention you were a complete idiot. I mean seriously, openly talking to Ashin, in broad daylight. What were you thinking?" she closed her eyes and shook her head, waving the issue aside "Not important, it doesn't matter." she said before Darron could try and give her an explanation.

Opening her eyes again she sought out his blue eyes, her heart felt like it was aching and she became more aware of the lump in her throat "It can work Darron. We can make it work." she said softly, afraid if she spoke any louder then her voice might crack with the emotion behind it.

Rosa pulled her hand away, and Darron didn't feel the calm he had been expecting. It was really quite the opposite, her lack of touch suddenly made him feel cold. In fact it was much colder than when he had been frozen, it actually burned. He looked down at his hand expecting to see damaged skin, but there was nothing. You really have an effect on me woman, how did I let it get this far? The Jedi kicked himself for completely messing things up as he watched her get up from her seat and go and lean against the balcony, well there goes the best thing that has happened to you Wraith. His inner voice was having a field day with this, as his cautious side begged for restraint and for him to do things the Jedi way. Yet the heart inside his chest was beating furiously, he had never heard it this loud in battle and yet here he was at a bar and he could barely breath?

So it's not a Sith Lord or a world being destroyed that brings me to my knees...its her.

He made his way to stand on the balcony and look out at the skyline before them as he listened to her. He didn't appreciate her cutting him off but he waited patiently on her to finish before he opened his mouth. "Listen, she showed up there. I was doing her grandfather a favor and making sure she hurt no one and got out of the area before more Jedi came. There are no feelings there, she just was there to free me and we have a deal to join our Orders together if a larger threat emerges that needs unity. Surely as a former politician and as a Jedi Knight...a Knight I trained you can appreciate me of all people trying for diplomacy." He moved his hair out of his face as the wind whipped it everywhere before chancing another look at her. "Listen, I'm not perfect and Zev shouldn't have heard that conversation. I just was a fool who didn't want to get you involved and hurt over something that is my fault..."

Rosa's aura was crying out in pain and he could feel her calm starting to break, you did this, he thought. "You are capable of defending yourself, I know that. I just don't know what is the right thing, I just do the only thing I know how to do in these situations. Which is keep people safe, when it comes to me I don't care. You should know this, my nickname isn't the lion because I'm a coward." He allowed another glance towards her beautiful form and he cool hear throat cracking as she spoke. Then he heard a voice in his head. "Darron, sometimes all you need in life are twenty seconds of blind courage to accomplish great things. Never allow yourself to not live a life, Jedi can have that too son." It was a lesson from his father ringing in his head.

Twenty seconds of courage huh? How about just 5?

His heart started to race as he grabbed her gently around her waist with his left hand, and with his prosthetic right hand he cupped the back of her neck. Darron towered over her as he pulled her close and regarded her beautiful brown eyes before bringing his lips towards hers. Here goes nothing..

Rosa was soaring, high above Coruscant and among the stars. There was nothing else, just her Darron and the stars. The pain was gone, undone the moment his lips touched hers. She hadn't expected that, she was preparing herself for him to walk away, for him to run from it, for fear of losing her to whatever demon lurked around the corner. Her hands had looped around his neck as she tiptoed to kiss him back. Pure delight radiating from her to hit everyone around them, not caring what they thought or who was there. For the first time since she was a child, her happiness was unchecked and pure.

If there was any moment that she wanted never to end it was this one. All the same she slowly drew away, opening her eyes to find his topaz eyes glittering back at her. A smile formed on her lips, as her hand found his face and she stroked it lightly as a laugh of delight escaped her and she tiptoed again to kiss him lightly before dropping her arms to wrap around his waist so she could hold him. Her heart was racing and as she leant her head on his chest she cold feel his was too.

He knew nothing, for a few glorious moments it was just him and Rosa. There wasn't a bar, not a bunch of onlookers, or people catcalling. There wasn't Coruscant, not the Jedi, not another living soul in this galaxy. All of his responsibilities and duties faded away and his only obligation was to the beautiful woman he was slowly kissing. His entire body was on fire yet he couldn't get enough, it had been so long since he had allowed himself any sort of affection that he couldn't get enough presently. The Jedi had to watch himself very careful because he was pulling her in hard, pressing his body against hers and fully enjoying the moment. As she released, the world and all of it's responsibilities came back with it, and his heart fell only slightly from it's high perch as she rested her head against his chest. Wow...shouldn't have waited so long Wraith, you idiot that was amazing. Said the voice in his head.

"You know nothing will be the same after this beautiful.."

His words trailed off as he studied every pair of eyes on them, the whole bar is staring. Luckily for the pair they where dressed as normal civilians and not in their usual Jedi garb. "So, where do we go from here?" Questions seem to litter his mind as he considered the path they had just set upon, his mind a whirl of emotions and for once he didn't care. The Order would find out and he would deal with the consequences from the media and the senate when the time came. Right now, he was just a man enjoying the company of the only woman who had brought anything out of his heart in a very, very long time.

Moments turned into minutes, and then Darron kissed the top of Rosa's head as he stroked her back. "You know we shouldn't have waited that long....and I want more of that ASAP" A grin crossed his face as he pulled her in for another kiss before she could form words, they could talk later.

Rosa sighed at his question. "Shhhhhh." she said softly with a smile, her eyes opening again and becoming very aware of the people watching them, her cheeks growing pink as she looked away from them, burying her face in his chest to hide her grin. "Don't ask questions. You always ask questions, just let things happen."

She looked up at him as he kissed her head, a sarcastic response forming on the tip of her tongue before he kissed her again. A need rose up in her then, a burning desire as she pressed close against him. "Darron.." she managed, before being drawn back in again as his kisses caused small explosions of delight across her mind and body "Maybe we should..." she could have spent the whole night there locked in the embrace with him, but she wanted, no needed more.

Months of keeping each other at arms length and pretending that it was nothing but harmless flirting had taken its toll on her. Pulling away from the kiss she smirked at Darron, her eyes glittering with delight. "Come on." she said taking his hand and pulling him out of the club, flicking a credit ship to the man behind the bar to pay for her tab and averting her eyes from Davin with a shy grin, pressing a finger to her lips she signalled for him to keep his mouth shut before climbing into the back of a transport her hand never leaving Darron's.

Her first thought was to go back to the temple, but another place came to mind. A hotel close to the senate building, one that always kept a room ready for her and with a discreet entrance. "Temple or hotel?" she asked Darron, the decision was his. Rosa would scream and shout about this given the chance but for his sake, she would give him the opportunity to chose discretion.

Giving instructions based on his response, she slipped into the seat next to him, her lips finding his once more.

The moments were a blur as he allowed Rosa to lead him through the bar, and he could feel everyone's eyes on the pair as they made their way through the bar. Yet, oddly enough he didn't care even as he saw Major Jusik sitting at the bar. The pair made eye contact as Rosa was pulling him out, and Darron managed a wink as well. Quickly so as to avoid detection from his gorgeous company, he sent a thought to the Major. Tell no one about what you saw, and please be safe getting home. We will discuss this later brother. A broad smile crossed his handsome face as he kept his arm around Rosa's waist as they made their way through the gawkers and onlookers. Thank the Force neither of us look like what we usually do, or this would be all over the news. He breathed a small sigh of relief until they made their way to the cab, and then Rosa was on him again and he couldn't think.
"Hotel, I already had a room there with my belongings there since I was on assignment." He barely got the words out between kisses and he couldn't honestly complain.

He tossed a credit chit to the cab driver and motioned for him to keep the change, and he threw the card for the hotel to the man as he gave Rosa his full undivided attention......

The Morning After.

Well good to know I spent "most" of the night in the bed yet I got zero sleep. The thought crossed his mind as he walked back into the bedroom where Rosa lay with the covers draped completely over her nude form. Wow, I trained her and had her with me every second of almost every day for four months and failed to notice she was this beautiful. I think I might need to go get my eyes checked, he mused to himself as he laid the tray with the French toast, eggs, bacon, and sausage on it. Hot coffee was steaming slightly to the side of the plate as he sat next to her without a stitch of fabric on him as well. "I may want to get dressed," he whispered as he slid some briefs on before sitting next to Rosa's inert form. Flashes of the incredible hours of passion that they had finally given into shot across his minds eye as he brushed the hair out of her beautiful face. She looks so peaceful, I can't possible wake her up.

"Come on beautiful, we need to get up sometime soon." His words were gentle as he kissed her forehead and stroked her cheek, he was feeling oddly awake despite getting absolutely zero sleep. As she stirred he planted another soft kiss on her lips before whispering in her ear. "Last night was real yes, and yes I thought it and you were absolutely incredible." Darron figured some honesty wouldn't hurt after the months of them playing games with each other and trying to pretend that what was going on wasn't real. Now that the façade was gone, what would happen?

She didn't want to wake up, she didn't want to open her eyes just in case it was all just a dream. A wild, passionate and highly inappropriate dream about her former Master. Even as he kissed her head and tried to wake her she was still unsure if it had been real.

"Last night was real yes, and yes I thought it and you were absolutely incredible."

Rosa opened her eyes, her hands sliding out from under the covers to wrap around him and pull him back down for another soft kiss. "I feel like I'm in a dream." she whispered back, losing her self in his eyes again as her hand stroked his face. The smell of coffee brought a fresh smile to her face. "I don't want to get up. Lets stay here, no one will notice." she pleaded, wrapping her arms around him pinning him so he couldn't escape.

"I've waited months to be woken up like this."

Eager lips received Rosa's and he allowed his passions to take over momentarily as he gave himself fully to her advances...then the familiar knocking of duty hit at his soul. With great effort he leaned away while still wrapped in her slender arms, and he against stared deeply into her eyes. Wraith, just say the hell with duty and do what feels right for one day. No, whispered his voice in his head. I once fully gave myself to my feelings and it nearly cost myself my place in the Order, she will have to learn balance just like I will. As the inner battle raged in his soul, the Jedi Master softly stroked her hair with his prosthetic. For a moment his blue eyes flicked to the device and he strangely felt self-conscious about it for the first time in a very long time. Get your head on straight Darron, she obviously didn't give a damn last night so don't worry now.

"Listen Rosa, you have no idea how badly I want all this too. We have a duty to the galaxy too, and I can't shirk that anymore than what I already have. Please know this isn't me being a jerk or anything of the sort. In fact I was going to say, lets travel together so that we can stay in each other's company." A faint smile crept up his face as he looked deeply into her soul, and forced his feelings to her so that she could see how badly he wanted all of this. Yet at the same time she needed to see that he could never give up or feel like he was compromising his duty to those who needed him. "Please don't think wrongly of me, I just have failed so much I'd like to do everything in my power to not do that again. You have seen everything I have been through, you know my pain and dedication and what prices I have paid."

He looked away at the window for a moment, and his voice came out as a faint whisper. "The entire galaxy needs me, the Jedi need me, I can feel their pain and hear their cries for help. But...I need you. Please never forget that."
