SPECIAL FEATURES
- Photon-Absorbent Matrix: Significantly reduces visual profile in low-light and shadowed environments
- Thermal Damping: Suppresses outward body heat signatures for IR and biometric evasion
- Subsonic Weave: Muffles sound caused by movement, breathing, or friction against armor
- Kov'dra-Fused Fiber Matrix: Infused with microscopic fragments of refined Kov'dra, the weave distorts the wearer's presence in the Force. It blurs passive sensory abilities like danger sense, farsight, and Force empathy, making it harder for Force-users to detect the wearer's intent or presence unless focused
STRENGTHS
- Ghost like Fielding: remaining stationary create a blind spot against electronic sensors, motion trackers, and low-light optics
- Force Blur: Woven Kov'dra particles subtly distort passive Force perception, delaying or weakening abilities such as precognition, life sense, or instinctual threat detection
- Zero-Maintenance Stealth Layer: Non-conductive, resistant to grime, and durable enough for long-term infiltration ops
- Stackable Functionality: Can be layered under armor or worn as standalone cloaks, compatible with stealth mods and ECM systems
WEAKNESSES
- No Direct Protection: Provides no resistance to damage or weapons; not designed for combat impact
- Flammable Under Plasma: Highly vulnerable to flame, lightsabers, or thermal weapons
- Limited Force Resistance: While Force "detection" is blurred, actual Force powers (push, choke, etc.) are still fully effective against the wearer
- Close-Range Weakness: Force-sensitives at close range or in direct line of sight may still sense the wearer with effort or active probing
DESCRIPTION
Born from the experimental blending of ancient Kov'dra metallurgy and modern textile engineering, Nyxweave represents one of the Lilaste Order's most sophisticated stealth materials. Its creation began when technicians experimenting with discarded Kov'dra forge particles discovered that the metal's Force-resistant nature still lingered even in microscopic fragments. By embedding these particles within a synthetic mesh matrix, they developed a lightweight, breathable, and highly stealth-optimized fiber with both technological and metaphysical concealment potential.
The result is Nyxweave a whisper-thin underlayer or cloak fabric used by elite scouts, spies, and saboteurs. On the technological front, Nyxweave excels in all the ways expected of advanced stealth gear: it mutes sound, scatters light, and confuses most sensors. But its true strength lies in how it feels to the Force. Jedi and Sith who brush against someone wearing Nyxweave describe a hollow presence, like trying to perceive a person through fog or static. It doesn't negate their presence it just makes it feel wrong, out of sync with normal sensation.
This "Force blur" effect, drawn from the Kov'dra fragments woven throughout the material, weakens danger sense and life detection abilities, especially when the wearer remains still or hidden from sight. In battle, it might allow an ambush to go unnoticed until it's too late. Outside of combat, it makes Nyxweave wearers exceedingly difficult to track with anything but mundane eyes and ears.
Still, Nyxweave is fragile. A sharp blade or a blaster bolt will cut right through it. It's not meant to protect only to hide. Those who wear it understand that stealth is their armor, and silence their shield. Most often used as the foundation for stealth suits, infiltration cloaks, or ceremonial garb worn by Diarchy assassins, Nyxweave is rare and difficult to reproduce. Its value lies not just in what it conceals, but in the knowledge that by the time you're aware of the one wearing it, it may already be too late.
