SPECIAL FEATURES

• Limited Modularity:
  • Barrel: This model has two options for barrels: lengthened and standard. The Lengthened barrel gives it the same range as the carbine variants while opting for the standard barrel will provide the operator with a more pistol feel and range.
  • Mounting Options: Like the models before this, the MB-03P gives the operator two mounting rails at the front of the weapon.
  • Gas Canister: Like the previous models, the gas canister can be swapped between tibanna, sig, or any other gas you have available. Unlike the earlier models, it is a lot harder to do requiring what amounts to a battlefield strip of the weapon.
• Fire Modes: Lethal or Stun options are available on this model.
• Standard Gas: Unlike the earlier variants, the MB-03P uses the armor-penetrating Sig gas as its primary unit.
• Targeting System: The weapon has the FAE/S-06 Reactive Targeting Matrix built into the weapon with a power unit supplying the matrix power. The power pack is a small HAPU within the pistol grip of the weapon.
• Semi-Auto Only: At the request of the Paragon Naval Command, this variant of the Modular Blaster line is semi-automatic only. However, the single bolt that is fired out of this variant has the same power as the 2-bolt burst option on the earlier models.
• 'Underslung' Rocket Launcher: The MB-03P has the addition of an underslung rocket launcher. It uses the FAE/WH-04 Universal Missile Platform, but more specifically, the S2 variant, the standard wrist rocket size. While the magazine for the rockets is attached to the bottom of the blaster carbine, it still uses the same barrel that the bolts are fired out of. There is a small loading gate on the bottom of the barrel inside the weapon which is opened when swapped to this additional platform allowing for one rocket to be fired at a time. while the universal missile platform allows for a wide selection of warheads, the main ones used in this design are Baradium, Proton, and Ion Pulse. Although other warheads can be fitted with a request.
  • Magazine Options: The underslung rocket launcher has two available magazine sizes available.
    • Single Load: Single Load is as easy as it sounds, the operator of the weapon places a single rocket into the open slot under the barrel and switches to the launcher mode. This loads the rocket and readies it for firing. We offer a specialized pouch that can be added to any utility belt that holds FOUR rockets.
    • Standard Magazine: The standard magazine is a box; it can be attached and detached at will (with the use of a spring-loaded tension button). The standard magazine holds SIXTEEN rockets.
• Bolt Color: The Standard bolt color for the MB-03P is midnight purple due to the high-quality Sig gas that is used and the power cell charge.

STRENGTHS

• Powerful: This variant doesn't have the 2-bolt burst option, but its single shot contains the power of two bolts in one, reducing the overall cell capacity, but increasing the damage.
• Accurate: With the introduction of the targeting matrix, accuracy is increased, even with the normally inaccurate sig gas bolts. DISCLAIMER: The targeting system cannot replace skill. It only enhances the accuracy of the user.
• Rocket Launcher: The MB-03P has an 'underslung' rocket launcher, giving operators of the weapon platform an explosive edge when in combat.

WEAKNESSES

• Large Frame: The frame of this carbine is quite large, meaning that it cannot be a holdout blaster and most people will notice if you're carrying it.
• Small Capacity: This blaster only gets 20 shots out of its power cell before you have to swap cells. And only four cells before a gas refill.
• Rocket Launcher: The ability to launch rockets from your weapon is a huge boon, but also a hassle as it weighs you down. Additionally, it adds an explosive pack to the front of your weapon. While resistant to most blaster fire, you shouldn't have it take more than a couple of hits.

DESCRIPTION
The N&Z Umbrella Corporation MB-02 "Empire" was meant to be the last in the line, however, at the behest of the Imperial Paragon Naval Command (IPNC), Karl Von Strauss and the team at N&Z EnSol, brushed off the newly settled dust from the modular blaster schematics. Now, introducing the combined efforts of the N&Z EnSol team and the Naval Corps of Engineering is the Modular Blaster Model 03 "Paragon."

This variant of the modular blaster series of weapons follows faithfully with only a few alterations. One, there is no stock meaning that there is not a second gas canister hiding, and meaning that this can be used more effectively like a sidearm. Two, this variant uses Sig gas as its primary gas. Known for its inaccuracy and armor-penetrating qualities. Why would we use it? Again, the FAE/S-06 Reactive Targeting Matrix reduces, to a manageable level, the inaccuracy of sig gas to give you the needed accuracy and armor penetration you deserve out of it. Three, which the designers say is the largest alteration, is the removal of the coveted '2-bolt burst' fire mode, instead opting for a more powerful single bolt (at the request of the IPNC). Lastly, the underslung rocket launcher only has two options for its magazine, single-load, and a 16-rocket box. This box is different from the double option of the 'Empire' variant; it was designed with magnetically attached to thigh armor in mind.

Designed with the Imperial Paragons in mind, the MB-03P is an excellent weapon to add to their armory.
