This is a Work in Progress
So in the next thread or so, Draco is going to Take over the Obsidian Order and rebuild it a bit. Its been dead for a while, but we have three new folks all interested, so I am gonna give it ago.
Organization
Obsidian Court (Currently Just Me)
*Probably scrapping in favor of each Net operating independently and an Archon overseeing all three. Probably Gut the Archon if it ever gets stable. Might go for just all masters on a council with Archon chairing the Councils.
Titles
Archon [Grand Master]
Ascendant [Master]
Savant [Knight]
Neophyte [Apprentice]
The only Major Changes will be making them a bit more prominent in Dominions. Most likely I will be taking the new 3 out on stuff during dominions. There is always something for FU's to do during a dom. But 3 apprentices is my max, and they are all three filled. The leadership area is currently non-existent so It will see some reworking, but the overall theme of them is fine.
A sect of warriors who combine the Force and technology, dedicated to protect the freedom of the Techno Union
Strike Swiftly From The Shadows...
The Obsidian Order is the division of the Techno Union that focuses and hones those Force Users who are sensitive to the Force. While not all of the Order are dedicated to its studies and practices, all Force Users in the TU are a member of it. They:
At the heart of the Obsidian Order is the idea that the best a man, woman, or anything else may become the best that they can be through the perfect blend of skill, technology, and the Force. With the correct combination built around the individual, a member of the Obsidian Order is capable of incredible and great acts. Whether those acts be to help or hinder, create or destroy, bless or condemn, is all left to the individual; and while honing the individual is a key focus within the Order, the Obsidians work best when united together. Be it on a battlefield, in a knowledge center, or even developing the next balance of Force and technology, the unity shown within the Obsidian Order rivals even the brotherhood of the Jedi Order(s).
Hopefully this synopsis has grasped your attention. If you are a newcomer to the Force or an experienced User who has been scorned or merely felt that you didn’t belong where you were, perhaps the Obsidian Order is what you seek. Even if you do not seek membership, the Order offers sanctuary to those Wanderers in the Galaxy.
...Strong Alone, Stronger Together...
The Obsidian Order is divided into three Networks (or Nets), based upon the specialization of the Member. The archetypes are Warriors, Scholars, and Spies. Each Network is represented by a mighty beast as listed below. When referred to in conversation, they are often called “Net Bha’lir” or “Net Taozin”.
The sects are as follows:
...Use Every Weapon.
LEADERSHIP
The Archon oversees all of the Nets and their leadership, watchful and present, ready to assure the survival and power of the Order. The Archon is one who not just earned the respect of each Net but as well demands absolute authority over all three. The Archon of the Obsidian Order is normally elected by the Executive Council from three candidates selected from the Networks of the Order. This ensures that the Executive Council maintains some level of control over the Order, and that the Order remains set apart from the government. Only the Archon is answerable to the Executive Council, and even then only via Three Fourths vote is his rulership of the Order able to be overturned.
The Ascendants of each Network form the leadership of the Order, not only ruling their own Network, but also acting as an advisory council to the Archon.
The Obsidian Order stands apart from regular society, seen a step apart from the traditional hierarchy. The Order itself is answerable only to the Executive Council as a whole, not individual members, and its Knights operate outside the confines of the laws. Though they are expected to serve the Union's best interests, the letter of the Law would confine them and keep them from being able to fulfill their duty as quickly and efficiently as possible.
POSITIONS AND HIERARCHY
Once an Initiate of the Order attains recognition as a full Obsidian, they are offered to join one of three primary sects. Those who decide to not choose a sect are free to live that way, or to specialize later. It is, however, recommended to belong to a group in order to be more readily called upon and to have a sense of camaraderie within the Order. On the surface and through the Techno Union, their titles are very plain, very common. Knights, Shadows, and Scholars. Within the Order, however, they have adopted their own names. Bha'Lir, Taozin, and Zillo, respectively, are the three Networks of the Order. One of the best ways to tell a member from a non-member is how they refer to the sects.
Archon: Overall Leader of the Order
Exarch: Leader of a Network
Ascendant: Master Rank
Savant: Knight Rank
Neophyte: Apprentice Rank
The Obsidian Order and the Techno Union
Here [member="Lucien Cordel"] is where I need you to write me a pretty paragraph or so about the Order's interaction with the Union's laws.
If standing alongside a congregation such as the Knights Obsidian piques your intrigue, then feel free to join us today! All are welcome within our midst! To join the faction, click Here; and if you have any questions, please feel free to ask them below.

The Obsidian Order is the division of the Techno Union that focuses and hones those Force Users who are sensitive to the Force. While not all of the Order are dedicated to its studies and practices, all Force Users in the TU are a member of it. They:
- Provide an alternative to traditional Jedi or Sith
- Value individualism - supportive of new members as they follow their path
- Blend state-of-the-art technology with use of the Force
- Each collect and modifies a unique arsenal
- Include a group dedicated to espionage

Each Network is represented by a mighty beast as listed below. When referred to in conversation, they are often called “Net Bha’lir” or “Net Taozin”.
The sects are as follows:
- THE KNIGHTS (BHA'LIR NETWORK)
Perhaps the most recognizable of the Obsidians, they are the warriors, fighters, strategists, and overall conflict bearers of the Order. Most of the time they will be continually training, sparring, and testing their combat prowess in order to become the ultimate Lords and Ladies of War. As a group, they pride themselves on being the original and the best sect. They're often viewed as the more arrogant of the three. - THE SHADOWS (TAOZIN NETWORK)
The most secretive and lesser-seen of the Obsidian Order's members, these Shadows typically weave themselves deep into the Spynet. They train just as hard as the Knights, but they train in entirely different affairs. Deception, illusion, manipulation, and how not to be seen. Their duties even expand into 'behaviorally corrective activity' and such related tasks for the betterment of the Techno Union. - THE SCHOLARS (ZILLO NETWORK)
These Obsidians are a little more curious. They typically research different aspects and arts of the Force, seek out artifacts and relics, and such quests. Others still are alchemists, and yet more will join with the Techno Union to create companies or invent new devices. Apart from the creative side, yet more are politicians and healers. The Scholars are perhaps the least-focused group.
