Intent: To create a heavy flying truck for intermodal operation

Development Thread: If necessary

Manufacturer: Ringovinda StarYards

Model: Ocktor flying truck

Affiliation: Open maket

Modularity: Can choose to attach or detach a hover trailer using a fifth wheel coupling

Production: Mass-Produced

Material: Durasteel hull, standard repulsorlift components

Role: Speeder truck

Height: 2.90m
Length: 7m (tractor unit)/21m (with empty trailer)
Width: 2.60m

Weight: 7 tons (tractor unit)/13 tons (with empty trailer)

Minimum Crew: 1

Optimal Crew: 1

Propulsion: Repulsorlift

Top Speed: 170 KM/H (full load, tanker trailer)

Armaments: None

Squadron Count: It may feel a little weird to think that long-haul trucking can be done in squadrons but 6

Passenger Capacity: 7 (sleeper tractor unit)/59 (with a special "school bus" 52-seater trailer)

Cargo Capacity: 2 tons (tractor unit)/34 tons (dry trailer)/77 tons (tanker trailer)

Misc. Equipment:

1x each on the trailer and the tractor unit

- Inertial compensator
- Tensor field generator

Strengths:

- Can keep cargo integrity safe
- High cargo capacity

Weaknesses:

- Unarmored
- Slow
- Has limited cargo capacity without a trailer

Description: Developed for use on planets with containerized cargo spaceports, the Ocktor heavy speeder truck has a sleeper tractor unit with three rows of seats, two of which are retractable, for a total of eight seats, driver's seat included. If the tractor unit's aft two rows of seats are retracted, the tractor unit can carry an additional two tons of break cargo. Even though on planets such as Coruscant, a truck has to travel at altitudes up to 500 meters, it is safest to operate an Ocktor at altitudes of a maximum of 5 meters above ground. Its trailer is designed to accommodate one Hedeek intermodal cargo container regardless of its content or variant (stacking two Hedeeks would make it impassable to most tunnels that speeder trucks can use), giving the Hedeek its qualification of intermodal.

Who can use this: Anyone
