Of Alien and Men - Act II

The woman jolted in surprise at both of the questions. She slowly felt about until she held onto her cane, then she settled into her spot to recover from the surprise. "The farmer's are most kind here, I do believe. They taught us how to plant some of the more difficult to maintain items, and how to regulate the process of their growth. I see no reason to assume either of these questions could lead to anywhere but arguments."

She seemed slightly angered, "How quick you are to dismiss these concerns! I'm not sure an argument will be necessary if you were to just cooperate." [member="Jartani Ponds"]

The woman seemed a little more upset now. She neatly folded her arms and raised her beak. "I'm afraid I do not like your tone right now. I will ask you to leave."

 

[Elmora Raa]

"You may ask me all you want but I WILL not leave here without answers! Now either you tell me and make this easy or there will be a BIG argument!" She yelled, obviously frustrated. "I can see through your lies elder! Tell us the truth!" [member="Jartani Ponds"]

"I have never met a creature so rude..." The woman reached up inside of her mask, then moments later, let her eyes flicker out. Her hands rested to her legs and she went quiet, sitting blank and in the complete black of her outfit.

She sighs, "Pardon my outburst but might I ask what you are doing?"

The Doctor isn't responding. Perhaps it'd be better to ask someone else, or discover what really IS under the mask...

 

[Elmora Raa]

With some hesitation she reached forth and grasped the beak of the mask firmly, pulling it upwards. [member="Jartani Ponds"]

The woman jerked her head to the side, blindly reaching for her cane. "Now just what do you think you're doing?"

 

[Ek Vilibro Griz]

Noticing the figures in the trees, Ek sent his Observer probe droid to the others in the hut. Ek's voice issued from a small speaker on the droid. "We have company." Ek then recalled the droid and sent it slightly closer to the approaching group using it's infrared and spectral scanners to detect the number of life forms. Ek then pulled his rifle off his back and aimed it towards the oncoming group hoping he could get a better glimpse of them through his scope.

Olan had just remained quiet as Raa went on her tangent towards the crow-masked lady. Shaking his head gently as she tried to remove the womans mask. Brow raised to the skies as he watched her. "Now, miss, yo-" And was interrupted by Ek's probe droid coming in, his voice issuing from it. Standing up swiftly, he took his blades with him and belted them on. "Can you give me a direction?" He asked the probe calmly, hopefully the info being relayed to the Techno-bro up in the tree.

Looking back at the bird-masked woman, his calm veneer slightly burning away.

Was this a trap? Lull us into security and attack? Hrrgh...

For a moment he just stared at her. "Don't got outside." Is all he could manage, doing what he could to keep his temper from flaring up. Trying to come off kindly, but he sounded more conflicted than kindly.

Stepping out into the air he began to look around. His hand naturally moving into the confines of his blue jacket to feel for that comfortable grip of his blaster.

Several of the Doctors have been alerted by the presence of stranger cloaks. Soon enough with wood from hut to hut, most of the doctors were trying to pack and leave as quickly as possible. What was going on here..? The Elder woman stayed inside, trembling with fear, letting out alarmed cries for her children to come into the safety of her home.

Battle Phase has finally begun.

Roundly twenty creatures who had only a slighter newer, and slighter less fashion sense than the rest of the Doctors stormed in from the clearing of the trees with their weapons held thick. It seemed now, by closer look some of them even holstered blasters. Where did they get those? Chaos was quickly leaving the village as some of the Plague Doctors fled for their safety, and the strangers prepared for battle.

OOC Note: For each interaction a set of dice will be rolled. Please do not take on more than three Doctors at once, as your chances will be slim. You are free to kill off as many "real" Plague Doctors in the crossfire. Every strategic opportunity has a chance to raise your attack or defense.

"They don't look friendly..." Olan growled into the air as the group of 'Doctors' came out to play with their assortment of unusual weapons. Whipping out his heavy blaster pistol with his left hand and drawing out a vibroblade with his right, the blade beginning to thrum as he depressed the activate button.

"Eyes up everyone, we got a fight on our hands." Eyes taking in the scene quickly as the Doctors panicked while the other 'Doctor's engaged them.

Aiming the pistol at the nearest Doctors to him that appeared to be armed, he let a few shots rip from the muzzle of the firearm-'THURMTHURM', keeping a steady pace to close distance and use his sword.

Attacking nearest target with blaster and moving to engage with a blade if possible.

La'kuus was quick to get into a more suitable battle position at the sudden struggle of the Doctors. Before long, with weapons afiring at the team, the young warrior went out on a small rampage. First stop was a child running around with a small doll in hand. Without question, she dived the knife into the back of her hat as she scrambled for the hut's entrance. The cry wasn't long, and her body fell to the ground with a thump, her doll latched to her chest.

Tiny whimpers came from the sides, as more scurrying feet ran themselves away. La rubbed the green blood off on her coat, then went to the next battle. It was extremely easy, fearfully so. A few hits with the knife and a few poorly arranged dodges from the fake Doctor lead to a rip up and through the middle. She had to stop herself from damaging the body further as she looked out for new targets.

There was a difference from the Doctors and the Fakes. Real Doctors don't wear farm clothes underneath their robes. In fact, now that one is cut open and spilling blood onto their cloth, it seemed rather strange that they would go as far as to dress as farmers underneath all that shielding.

 

[Ek Vilibro Griz]

Ek Recalled his obsever droid and Activated 4 crab mine droids. he programmed the droids to crawl down the tree he was in and to scurry under bushes on either side of the advancing armed plague doctors. Once the armed plague doctors walked past the first pair they would explode causing the group to either scatter or bottleneck, either way they would break formation. Ek hoped they would bottleneck because then his second pair of crab mines would take out more since they would be closer together. Ek waited in the leaves of the tree peering through his scope to see if any of these enemies would try to take command during the chaos that would ensue, thats the one he would try to pop with his rifle. For now though, he waited.

The target wasn't as lucky as he hoped to be on the front lines. Face to arm with a blaster, the fake Doctor tried and failed to keep from getting shot. He was dead enough as is, wounded in several places all over again. Without a moment's notice, he passed out from pain and red blood-lost, leaving his victor to do as he pleased.

A critical hit! La'kuus has ended the attacker's assault with the help of her trusty blade. The blood spilling is massive, as is the evidence of her attack embedded inside the stomach and chest. Clearly the farmer's clothes are noticeable.

After the first explosion of the crab mine, a small group of the Doctors scattered! By luck, one of the Doctors was killed upon impact of stepping on the mine, and shortly after, body parts went flying from two other victims. The last mine wasn't so lucky for it's use was only hit by a flying limb of a fallen suit.

More of the children have escaped, and more of the Plague Doctors are struggling to gather the youngling's belongings, and their own. The village once peaceful and quiet was slowly being destroyed, some even by the looks killing each other. Of course this was not the case, but who knew?

Unsheathing her twin lightsabers, she set them ablaze in yellow light, then sprung outside to the commotion. Seeing the battle that was going on she decided she would like to do what she was payed for and fight. Slicing in a wide arc she attempted to cut one in half with her saber...

Ek put his rifle away on his back. It snapped onto the magnetic holster with a quiet thud. He activated his hunter probe droid with its bottom mounted blaster, then reached for the curved lightsaber hilt on the right side of his belt. He ignited its purple blade and force jumped from his tree perch to the edge of the fray and pulled the giant pistol on his thigh from its holster with his off hand and fired into the crowd of enemies, the recoil of the shot nearly numbing his left arm. Simultaneously, the Droid began firing at nearby enemies, never straying far from Ek. He then raised his purple blade in defense. "Today is not your day."

La'kuus gently picked at the clothing the Doctor wore, then quickly pulled bits of it off. Alarmed by a sudden presence, she raised her small blaster (link to be found... blah.) and aimed for the Doctor's head, while her secondary (the exact same pistol) raised to her left target, aiming and firing within a few seconds bound.

Even if it hit, even if it didn't, La'kuus pulled off her comlink and put it to her mouth. "I have some bad news. We're going to have to take this to a safe destination, don't let anyone follow you."
