The arching architecture loomed overhead as the shuttle carried them back to the rented room. Quinn had left her apprentice, Kaila's apprentice, and the others behind. She felt only a hint of guilt, for everyone else was grown enough to handle themselves. Still, her mind wandered, wondering if it had been wise to leave Tamsin with Eira.
The Princess wrinkled her nose. Probably not her best idea, but it was done. She'd just scold Eira in the morning if anything happened.
Quinn's gaze drifted from Naboo's ancient, elegant buildings to the pair seated with her. Both of them had claimed her heart, something she had given freely. She'd never imagined the three in the same room, let alone like this, but their presence was proof of trust. Whatever the rest of the night held, there was a nervous excitement knotted in her stomach.
Sitting beside Kirie, Quinn leaned in close to the woman's ear. "Are you sure you don't want to wear your cosplay?" she teased quietly as her eyes flicked to the blonde across the cab. Her grin widened as she looked back to Kirie. "You worked so hard on it. I am sorry I didn't tell you it wasn't that kind of dress-up." She pressed a soft kiss to the handmaiden's cheek. Kirie had refused the suggestion before they left, but Quinn couldn't resist asking again.
She smirked as the speeder turned into the small estate Quinn had rented for her and her friends. When the driver opened the door, the Princess gestured for the others to go first, then stepped out with practiced grace, using the driver's hand for balance. She left a few thousand credits tucked in his palm as she let go.
"Take the others to one of the hotels," she said without looking back, "and let Eira know to use my account for whatever they want." The driver didn't question her; he just returned to the event. The three women were left to their own devices.
Inside, Quinn shut the door quietly behind them. Then, locked. She didn't speak. Not yet. Her lovers would watch as she crossed the foyer. At the small table, she began removing her jewelry, which was neatly placed in a pile of gold bracelets, earrings, and a necklace.
Quinn looked toward them and smiled softly. The fabric of her dress whispered with each step as she moved. She reached for Kaila's tie, fingers curling around it to tug the taller woman closer. Their lips met gently, briefly just enough to tease. Her hand stayed on the tie.
Her attention turned to Kirie. Quinn's gaze softened as she reached out, running her fingers along the handmaiden's cheek. "Both of you, follow me." Quinn laughed lightly, guiding Kaila by her makeshift leash and Kirie by the hand.
The master bedroom door closed behind them. Locked.
The night was filled with something new that shifted the balance between them. It changed Quinn and the way she saw the two women she loved. She hadn't expected this outcome or this circumstance, but it was everything she could have dreamed of.
In the quiet aftermath, wrapped in warmth and shared breath, she felt truly loved and more loved. Nothing could replace either of them. She loved them for different reasons, but deep and all the same.
Entwined between them, Quinn reached out, fingers brushing gently through the brunette locks of her confidant, her handmaiden. She watched Kirie sleep, while comforted by the steady weight of her blonde Knight behind the Princess.
This was her sanctuary.
They were her home.
