Oh Boy, This Won't Be Good [Morgana]

Distractions were things that Morgana would have to push from her mind, even if Josh had really just done the hair ruffling as a playful gesture. A Jedi had to be two things - Calm and focused. This was how Jedi got their heads chopped off, y'know, if they didn't do that! The test he was pulling now was simple. He was putting more pressure on her and seeing how well Morgana handled under pressure. Not to mention turning his work up a little to see if she could keep up. He could tell that she was holding on, albeit barely. But still holding on. Good. Despite her little time in the Order and as a Jedi, it seems Morgana's genes that came from multiple force users, many of which were lightsaber wielders, was benefiting her quite well. Thank the Force she was on the Jedi side, he thought.

Once she managed to block the blows, Josh would back up, and chuckle a bit. "Good, good. But you need to stop fretting and worrying so much. I can see it in your eyes. You need to believe that you can do this, do that and you will do it. Not just barely, you'll do it well if you relax and focus only on the task at hand" Josh would speak as he readied his saber again. "You need to be able to keep calm under pressure. Otherwise you'll leave yourself vulnerable"

And just like that, he would charge again, pressing the attack as he slashed at every part of her body that he could, from her shoulders, to her sides, to her chest, even one toward her head. His attacks were quick and aggressive, he was pressuring her. Trying to teach her to relax and take them one stride at a time.

When [member="Joshua DragonsFlame"] had stopped his pressuring attack Morgana took a second to try and recover, hearing him give a mixed praise before saying how she needed to trust she could do it. She needed to be realxed under preassure and let the Force guide her. She knew that. That was one of the first lessons she needed to learn as a Jedi in combat. But that wasn't why she was so clumsy during this duel. Her mind had been wandering to other things. Mainly the fact she was dealing with yet another member of her ever growing family. From the Sith, the ruler of Kesh and his daughter, and now a Jedi Master, not to mention her mother, Morgana was starting to feel a little overwhelmed about the entire thing. She was about to say something before He attacked again, she doing as before and only managing to block at the last second before the on-coming onslaught of attacks. One had finally managed and struck right at the center of her chest. It was a good thing it was on a low level since it only burned and didn't go all the way through her.

Once the attack had hit, the Jedi Master would back up, holding up a hand to stop the spar for the time being. He thought back on his words for a moment, perhaps he hadn't been the best at explaining it? Of course, despite him being a Jedi Master, he was still a young man himself. Perhaps these were just things that he would learn to do better as he aged and learned during the years. He wouldn't call it a cause for alarm, of course. But he did need to clear things up with Morgana so he didn't get mixed up.

"Let me re-phrase what I said before, you need to clear your mind, relax it, and then focus on the battle in front of you, that and the situation around you if it comes to a multi-person battle. At the same time, you can't let yourself worry too much about if you're going to succeed or fail. Those things are for planning before the battle, but once you're in... Well, you can't fret too much. If you don't think you're going to survive... You won't. You'll be distracting yourself" Joshua would lecture with a small smile as he would disengage his blade. "You showed some improvement in that area though throughout the spar, and I'm proud of you for that. Very proud" He spoke warmly. "Just keep it up, Coruscant wasn't built in a day" He added.

"Let's take a break" Josh would offer before looking into her eyes. "I could see the look in your eyes back there, you weren't focused wholly on the battle, were you?" Josh would inquire, tilting his head. He had noted that she seemed almost... Distracted. He had to wonder if that was the reason for her letting her guard down like she did. She had left herself open very little during the spar, which he admired, but she'd blatantly done so at the last moment, as if her head wasn't there.

"Is something wrong, Morgana?" Josh would ask, reaching over to place a hand on her shoulder, his eyes fraught with an almost fatherly worry.

His lectures were nothing new to Morgana. She nodded and sighed while rubbing the point on her chest where the saber had hit. It was sore and itched a little but nothing that would not clear with time. She stood when he said they would take a break, nodding and standing while prushing herself off and making sure her saber was in-check on her belt. After that she grimmaced when he had mentioned her being distracted. She avoided eye-contact for a moment before finally looking to him and realizing she could not work her way around the truth.
She sighed and answered "Just....a little overwhelmed it all. I mean I grew up as an oprhan for so long, and now all of a sudden I have one of the most complicated of family issues I've ever heard of. Having four dads? My mother an empress? The silblings it turns out I had? It's hard for anyone to really concetrate knowing all that."

The Jedi Master would nod in understanding as she would explain the reasons behind her distraction. Joshua would let out a sigh - And in a new display would gently pull Morgana into a tight hug. "I understand, Morgana" He spoke softly. "A lot's changed for you lately. A lot's changed for me too. But change is just a normal part of life. You see it all the time, whether it's change for you, change for someone else, change for the people around you, change for people you know, hell... Change just for people you might have only heard about. Planets change, climates change, lives change... But it's understandable if you're a little offput from all of this coming at once. As well... Were you really an orphan? You've always had your mother, have you not?" Josh would ask, raising an eyebrow as he moved from the embrace just a bit to look her in the eyes. ".... You HAVE, right?" He would add, seeming a bit skeptical.

"As well... What siblings? I didn't realize Nimue had any children besides you. She had told me she was infertile" Josh would inquire. Okay, now this was just getting weird. Had she lied about that too?

When [member="Joshua DragonsFlame"] asked about Nimue being there Morgana obviously said "Not...really. I mean Aunt Taeli talked about her but I didn't even meet her until a few weeks ago." She'd shrugged as if the answer should've been obvious to him. She had thought herself an orphan for the longest time, unsure of who her mother was. Taeli was the closest thing and yet even she had waved off being considered her true mother. After that when he asked about siblings she clarified "No, no. I mean children from others. Like Solan has a daughter. So, technically, she's my sister now."

A frown crossed his face when she revealed that Nimue had never actually been there, and that she hadn't even actually met her until a few weeks ago. Okay, that was rather upsetting. ".... Why the hell?" He would accidentally let out, mainly to himself more then Morgana. Josh let out a sigh and shook his head, obviously distressed at this revelation. "I'm going to have to talk to her later. This makes a lot of things stop making sense" He would admit.

Seriously, Nimue had basically said that the reason she'd done what she did was so she could have a child at all. But she in particular, for some reason, picked powerful force users as her hosts, and then sent her off to the Jedi for training immediately after. Didn't even spend time with her or even see her until now. Something was off, and he intended to find out.

He nodded when she clarified about her siblings. "Alright, that makes sense. Thank you" He would speak politely. "How many of your uh... 'Fathers' have you met, exactly?" Josh would ask.

Morgana gave an odd look when he blurted out as he did. She would admit she found it upsetting too but she'd understood why; given the political problems faced with Nimue being empress of Effekt's old traditions and all. She found his reactio a little harsh, but understandable. After that when he asked about who'd she met she answered "I think everyone at this point. I mean...as far as I know." The idea of there being more than the four had dawned on Morgana but, thinking on it, she figured her mother wouldn't try anything like lying to her at this point.

Of course, his intent was good, even if he'd been a bit harsh with it. It was obvious that the Jedi Master, despite having just met her, cared a great deal about Morgana's well-being. Perhaps it was just his fatherly instincts kicking in, but political issues aside, he saw no reason for Nimue to just neglect the child that she had gone to such great lengths - Without his permission in the case of using his DNA - to have created. It only made him think that there was more of a reason to it that she had been hiding from them - perhaps only doing it in hopes that the genes would lead to Morgana being a powerful weapon in the Force for Nimue to exploit for her own reasons. It was nothing new in terms of Sith and Dark Jedi, after all, by the things he had seen and heard throughout his time as a Jedi. Even if she hadn't, the neglect sickened him. It was likely there were many things he didn't know about the situation, and he knew that. But in his mind, Nimue had been hiding something, and at the same time hadn't treated Morgana the way a child should be treated by their parent, no matter how rapidly they may have grown. Even with the circumstances of her birth, she was still a human being. He'd come to realize that as he'd spent time with her.

He took a breath, and nodded to her answer to his question. So he was the last? Figures. "I see" He said. "Well, what matters right now is if you're happy or not, even with the things that're happening. At the very least - I'm happy to finally get to meet you" He spoke, a small smile crossing his lips.

Honestly, he wouldn't be surprised if there were more then four, considering what he'd seen of Nimue so far. But he tried not to think about it too much. "You up for another round, Morgana? Or did you have anything else in mind?" Joshua would inquire, looking back at her with that calm, warm, embracing expression once again.

[member="Joshua DragonsFlame"] seemed the more odd of the father's she met. Perhaps it was just his reaction or the fact he seemed so inent of a parenting figure than the others. Hard to say. Her other fathers had contributed in their own ways, but they were not Jedi nor were they exaclty master level force users. This was almost an entire different sort of person she dealt with. Still she was happy that he was content enough to say how happy he was for her. She smiled and thanked hi before he asked about what to do next. She shrugged and said "Whatever you feel like....dad."

In truth, Josh was just acting as he would in the situation, even with the circumstances. What mattered was that Morgana was his child, in some aspect. He just wanted to be the father for her that he was capable of being. He didn't know how the others were treating her in that regard, but it was the least that he could do.

To her answer, the young man - not much older then Morgana he would bet, would scratch his beard, pondering the next course of action. "To be honest, I'm not quite sure, as the location itself - being Effekt, and it's palace, is still an unknown, unexplored animal to me. I knew there were gardens to use as proper space, thus why I suggested the spar, but anything else about this palace escapes me. What is there to do, or what is there capability of doing here, Morgana? You've likely been here much longer then I ever have" Josh would ask, peering toward Morgana curiously. He'd be happy to choose something, but it was the options he was unsure of.
