Old Discussion Revisited - Rank Titles/Tags

Wrong.
Not all Dark Siders are Sith. All Sith are Dark Siders.

All in the same, I would -not- by any length call all Light Side Force wielders Jedi. Jedi follow a certain... religion if you will, a specific code of conduct.

These two tags are absolutely targeted towards a specific group, so saying ours aren't as important because they target us is invalid.

If you want to really go the all-encompassing route, you would call non-Jedi Light Siders Rogue and non-Sith Dark Siders Dark Jedi (or Rogue as well).
True. But Jedi and Sith are both canon and basically, the whole Star Wars story is based on these two. If we just removed these, we would become something which isn't Star Wars anymore. Templars are not Chaos and thus, they are not that important to Star Wars. For Chaos, yes, you are really important, but still nothing in the SW canon. In my opinion, there should be only tags for canon stuff. That's what I was trying to say... :)

It is my opinion and you have your own opinions, I respect that.

Already covered.

So, as a question....
If I made a Force User that was part of the CIS but not the Templars, would he need to adhere to this rule?

I mean, it's kind of redundant to do that, as the Templars would be the source of all Force training and whatnot within the faction. That aside, I'd like us all to have a single, united look; so yes, wear the neutral tag.

I'm getting Spellweaver tags, because that's what she is... and I'm a rebel. :p
*uses being in the Council of Sorcery on planet something-or-other as a scapegoat*
The one thing I'm not changing is my Alchemist tag... ever. >_>

Actually, scratch that, I don't think we should be forced to have jack squat if we don't want it. It is not an official rule, thus it would not be a respectable one. The only thing I agree with is not allowing Sith or Dark Jedi tags.

I don't want a vanilla Knight tag, I don't want a Confederacy title, they take up valuable space describing what the character actually is. Filling my signature with Templar swag is the issue.

Dark Jedi tags - well... this one is canon, so it can stay, though I do admit that in my opinion, it's a pointless tag.
1st off .. Ouch. :(

My reasoning for this is a little phenomena known as "tag-based metagaming". It occurs whenever someone gets an opinion of an Order as a whole by seeing a few Sith/Jedi tags floating about or by how they immediately identity your character as Dark/Light IC through a glance at the tag.
This.

I can dig it, my zabaraka. Just gotta wait 30 days to change DJ to Neutral to make you a happy camper.
