Amani rubbed the back of her neck, “Uhhh, I wouldn’t say that. I’ve spent a lot of time studying it, and I like to think I can use it pretty well, but to say I’ve fully mastered the Force would be quite the overstatement.”
She didn’t want to sound full of herself. She knew that her understanding of it was far from complete, but Amani understood that she had surpassed many of her peers. She wasn’t afraid to realistically acknowledge her own prowess.
Nonetheless, wanting to move the conversation away from their defensive posturings, Amani turned it back around, “I’ve got a ways to go, still. I imagine most of us do. And hey, you still beat me to the whole ‘getting a lightsaber’ thing!”
